Everyone nods their agreement that this potential disaster has been successfully avoided. Tohru and Sakuya leave so that Misono can get some rest.
It has been four months since Tohru moved into her Grandfather's house, and her Grandfather calls her into the living room. Tohru walks into the living room with Kuro sitting on her shoulder anxious to hear whatever news Tohru's Grandfather has to tell them. Her Grandfather crosses his arms behind his back, and says.
"Tohru dear I have some important news." Grandfather
"Yes Grandfather. What is it?" Tohru
"My daughter and her family are going to be moving into the house with us, and we need to have some remodelling done. So there will be more room in the house for everyone." Grandfather
"Where will we be living until the work is done?" Tohru
"I was thinking that we could go, and stay with my daughter until all of the work is finished." Grandfather
"I'm sorry Grandfather, but I can't miss school." Tohru
"I understand Tohru dear. Do you have a friend that you could stay with?" Grandfather
"Yes I do." Tohru
"Then I have nothing to worry about." Grandfather
"When do we have to leave?" Tohru
"Tomorrow morning." Grandfather
"Then I better make sure I get my things packed today." Tohru
Tohru's Grandfather nods, and sits on the couch to watch some TV.
Tohru is in her room packing her things when Kuro says.
"You are not going to be moving in with one of your friends are you?" Kuro
"No I'd just be in the way." Tohru
"Then where are we going to go?" Kuro
"I have a plan; I'll tell you about it later." Tohru
Kuro nods, and goes back to sleep. It takes her awhile, but Tohru finishes packing up all of her things. Tohru goes downstairs, and makes dinner for the three of them like she always does. Kuro finds the plate Tohru left out for him, and goes upstairs to eat his dinner in peace. Kuro knows that whatever plan Tohru has up her sleeve will be a real pain for them. After finishing his dinner Kuro goes to sleep in his cat bed. The next morning Tohru and Kuro get up, and have breakfast like they always do. Then a car comes and picks up Tohru's Grandfather. Tohru gathers up all of her things making sure not to forget Kuro's cat bed. Kuro curls up on Tohru's head, and lightly dozes off to pass the time until they get to their destination. When they get there Tohru puts Kuro down in his cat bed, and gets to work setting up the tent in the forest meadow she has selected for them to be living in until the remodelling is finished.
At sunset Kuro wakes up to see Tohru asleep in a tent. Kuro changes forms, picks up his cat bed, and goes into the tent to get some more rest. In the morning Tohru gets up and makes breakfast for the two of them. Kuro looks at her, and says.
"Yesterday when you told me that you had a plan for where we could stay until the remodelling is finished I knew that what ever it is will be troublesome, and it turns out I was right this is going to be so troublesome I could just die." Kuro
Tohru shakes her head, and giggles at his antics. Kuro sweat drops at his Eve's reaction, but goes back to eating his delicious breakfast. After they have finished their breakfast Tohru and Kuro go to school like they have every morning. When Tohru gets to school she acts like nothing at all has changed so she won't have to lie to keep her living situation a secret from her friends. Tohru doesn't want to be a burden on her friends that is why she and Kuro are living in a tent. As Tohru is sitting in class she goes over all the supplies she has, and which ones might need to be replaced. As far as she can tell she will not need to buy supplies for another couple of weeks. Tohru hopes that this war will end really soon, because she doesn't know how long it will take for Tsubaki's minions to find out where she is living, and use this information to their advantage. Tohru knows that this is what she has to do, but that doesn't mean that she isn't nervous about the potential complications that could arise due to this fact.
Tohru goes to work after the school day is over, and works as many hours as she possibly can. This way she can pay for her tuition as well as the necessities of life. Tohru knows that there is a possibility that her friends will notice that she is working more now than she was before. Tohru hopes that nobody notices so no questions that she would rather not answer will be asked. She knows that Kuro has guessed why she is going through all of this trouble in the first place. It makes Tohru happy that she has Kuro with her so that way she isn't actually alone. Tohru finishes up her work for the day before she can think to deeply about the things that are happening in her life. She goes home, and makes supper for herself and Kuro. After she has finished all of her homework Tohru settles into bed, and before she goes to sleep Kuro settles down next to her. While she is drifting off Tohru cuddles her cat close to her in hopes that his cuteness will bring her good dreams tonight.
After a couple of days Tohru and Kuro have settled into their life in the tent. On her way home from school Tohru checks the mailbox outside of her Grandfather's house to see if there is any mail for her. Tohru receives a letter with a wax seal, and once they get home Kuro goes into the tent. Tohru gets frustrated with opening the letter, and says.
"Ugh." Tohru
"What's wrong?" Kuro
"I can't get this stupid letter to open." Tohru
"Huh?" Kuro
"What's with this seal?" Tohru
Kuro gets an angry look on his face while Tohru is trying to open the letter. While Kuro takes the letter from Tohru he says.
"It's probably junk." Kuro
"You think. Whatever." Tohru
Tohru walks away to freshen up at the nearby stream. When Tohru gets back from the stream she starts a fire, and cooks them a delicious lunch. After lunch has been eaten, and thoroughly enjoyed Tohru goes into the tent to finish up her homework. Once she is done Tohru picks up Kuro, puts him on her head, and heads off to work happy that she will be able to get to bed early tonight.
The next morning Tohru goes to school with Kuro in her bag as usual only this time Tohru forgets to put him in her locker before she goes to class. At lunch time Kuro jumps out of her bag, and proceeds to start using his cuteness get snacks from the other girls in Tohru's class. Sakuya sees this, and says.
"Why is Kuro mooching snacks from the girls in class instead of sleeping in your locker like he usually is?" Sakuya
"I forgot to put him in my locker before coming to class." Tohru
"Ok, just be more careful next time. You don't want to get expelled for bringing a pet to school do you?" Sakuya
"I will definitely be more careful about putting Kuro in my locker from now on." Tohru
"Good." Sakuya
Both Sakuya and Tohru go back to eating their lunches, and after lunch is over Tohru discreetly goes back to her locker. Making sure that no one sees her Tohru deposits Kuro in her locker, and returns to class in an equally discreet manner as she left it. Everybody in the class thinks that the cat is a stray who snuck into the school to beg for food. No one even suspects that he actually belongs to one of their classmates Tohru Honda.
As Tohru is walking down the street she looks at Kuro, and says.
"What are you going to do if people find out you're a Vampire, and not a normal black cat?" Tohru
"Hey don't get mad because I'm popular with the ladies." Kuro
"You're such a goof Kuro. What if one of them turns out to be an enemy trying to get close to you." Tohru
"Ugh. How are you both paranoid, and to trusting? Forget about it just watch me roll around in your hands, and be cute instead." Kuro
"You are so cute absolutely the most adorable cat ever." Tohru
Kuro gets a very pleased look on his face as he soaks in Tohru happiness. They find themselves near a park where there is a festival happening. Tohru looks around for Kuro, and when she doesn't find him she says.
"Kuro; Where did you go? How did you manage to get all of that food so quickly?" Tohru
"Eh; Never underestimate a hungry Vampire." Kuro
"The fireworks will start soon." Tohru
"Excuse me. I found this case. Someone must've lost it. I'm in a bit of a hurry now. Could you take it to the lost and found for me? I'm afraid I just don't have time to. Please make sure you get it there before the fireworks begin." ?
"Well I guess it's the only thing that I can do. I'll be right back Kuro." Tohru
Tohru walks away with case in hand towards the lost and found. As she is walking around Tohru says.
"Oh wow it's so crowded." Tohru
After she says this Tohru bumps into some one, and falls down on her rear. The person she bumps into offers her his hand, and says.
"Oh sorry." ?
She takes his hand, and says.
"No it was my fault." Tohru
He helps her up, and she says.
"Thanks for helping me." Tohru
"I didn't see you. I'm on the look out for someone else." ?
"A friend?" Tohru
"Someone I got separated from." ?
"Well in that case. You should just page them over the intercom." Tohru
"That's a good idea. How do I do that?" ?
"I'm heading to the lost and found right now, and they should be able to help you. Just come along with me." Tohru
"Thanks a lot. You're a big help." ?
They continue walking in the direction of the lost and found when her companion says.
"The guy I'm looking for is kind of odd. So I'll notice him on the way there." ?
"Ok works for me." Tohru
Tohru looks up at what the guy is carrying, and thinks. 'The shape of that thing it looks like...'
"Uh, So about that box?" Tohru
"Hm, Oh this it's just a coffin." ?
"Why do you have it exactly?" Tohru
"Uh, Well like I said it's a coffin. So obviously it's for Vampires to sleep in." ?
"If you live around here you'll probably know..." ?
There is a boom behind Tohru, and she looks behind her to see a fire. In response to this she says.
"An explosion!" Tohru
Bystanders begin saying how the explosion was caused by a bag that exploded. The description of the exploding bag matches the bag that Tohru is currently holding. She looks down at it, has a flashback, and thinks.
'The fireworks start at 7:00pm sharp. Ok calm down. If this is a bomb I can call Kuro, and have him take it far away, but what about this guy is he in on it? Is this a trap? (How are you be both paranoid and to trusting?-Kuro)' Tohru
Tohru turns to face the guy next to her, and says.
"Listen! Would I be right in assuming that you're a good rational person?" Tohru
"I guess so." ?
"I may be to trusting, but I'd rather give people the benefit of the doubt. If I get tricked I'll worry about it then. Things are simpler that way." Tohru
"Ah, that's a smart way of thinking." ?
As people are running away Tohru leaves the walk way, stands behind a row of bushes, and says.
"Kuro!" Tohru
Kuro arrives, drinks Tohru's blood, and says.
"You need to get it away from people; The sky will do." Kuro
Kuro jumps off the ground while holding the briefcase. Meanwhile back on the ground Tohru's new friend looks up at them, and says.
"He's a Servamp." ?
"Come on throw it as hard as you can." Tohru
Kuro throws it up into the air as hard as he possibly can, and Tohru says.
"That's not going to be high enough. If that thing falls back down on us we're dead." Tohru
"Eh, this'll be fine. These situations always work out. The bag will explode while we watch." Kuro
"No it's already coming back down." Tohru
Meanwhile standing on a roof over looking the festival is the subclass who started all of this. He laughs at this, and says.
"Young master. Are you seeing this? It's finally beginning. The curtains raising on a grand funeral." subclass
"Now now troubled world. Won't you come out and play?" Tsubaki
Back at the festival the briefcase continues to fall toward Tohru and Kuro. Tohru's new friend intercepts the briefcase before it has a chance to explode, and Tohru says.
"How is that going to help?" Tohru
"Everything's fine now; Just watch absolutely nothing can destroy this coffin of mine." ?
The fireworks go off behind him, he puts the coffin down, and Tohru says.
"Hot Springs? Um who are you?" Tohru
"Tetsu Sendagaya. You may know my families Hot Spring resort." Tetsu
"You fool! I can't believe you blew up the coffin even though I was inside." ?
"Hugh. You were in there. I've been looking for you everywhere. I thought you disappeared." Tetsu
"Hugh." Tohru
"Ah, long time no see. This is the Servamp of Pride: Old Child." Kuro
"A Servamp." Tohru
Meanwhile at the hospital. Misono is on the phone, and says.
"Yes, I should be home by next week. My injuries are mostly healed I'm just resting now. No need for concern. Thank you for calling. I know you're very busy bye father." Misono
Misono hangs up the phone, Lilly puts a plate of peeled apples on his bedside table, and says.
"Make sure you're not rushing yourself Misono. We'll have plenty of opportunities to help Tohru out once you've fully recovered. I promise." Lilly
"Do-Do told me earlier that you know who is in town. Makes me wonder what he could be planning." Misono
Lilly just smiles at Misono. Back at the festival Tetsu says.
"Ok Hugh, You've had some of my blood; Have you recovered yet, or do you need some more?" Tetsu
"I'm fine of course. Don't mistake me for some one who is easily beat. I embody strength my name is Hugh the Dark Algernon the Third, and I am the mightiest of Servamps. The true form of Pride quake in fear before me." Hugh
"Um, are you sure you're completely recovered?" Tohru
"You fool; Weren't you listening to me? Or maybe terror is keeping you from thinking straight. In the
