"Yeah, so uh I can call you Hugh then?" Tohru
"You'll use my full name human." Hugh
"That's way to long." Kuro
"Yes. It has been a long time Sleepy Ash. While you were off lazing around the world fell into chaos thanks to him." Hugh
"You mean Tsubaki." Tohru
"Before we get into all that. Why don't I tell you the story of how I met up with Tetsu here?" Hugh
"Why would we care?" Tohru
"I followed the sent of high quality blood to a Hot Springs Inn. Where I intended to find a person worthy of being prides Eve..." Hugh
Hugh continues to recount the story of how he met Tetsu, and says.
"Tetsu's young, but he's got top notch blood, physical strength, and common sense. We were a perfect match." Hugh
"Young huh? I don't know if I'd call him that." Tohru
"Tetsu is only 14 years old." Hugh
"Fourteen years old! You're in middle school." Tohru
"Second year." Tetsu
"And here I was thinking you were a college student." Tohru
"Observe. This grand weapon proves just how great his potential is as an Eve." Hugh
"This giant coffin is your weapon." Tohru
"Yeah. I don't know how to get rid of it. So I figured I could use it for some free advertising." Tetsu
"That's actually pretty smart." Tohru
"Well if the customer's a Vampire then it's my job as an Innkeeper to prepare a dark room for him. That's just good business. Tourist destinations don't do well if there's fighting; So I do everything I can to keep the peace between humans and Vampires." Tetsu
Tohru smiles at what Tetsu said. Hugh interjects by saying.
"No question about it. This was the work of Tsubaki's men. " Hugh
Tohru rubs the back of her right hand, and says.
"You know that for sure." Tohru
"I have more subclasses than any other Servamp, because I like to stay well informed about the world. We were on high alert today, because of certain information we have received earlier. It would probably be best for us to stay in contact, and help each other out. We can face Tsubaki together." Hugh
"Yeah." Tohru
"This is such a ta-do." Kuro
"Be warned. Tsubaki isn't the only player here. There are other enemies that we must watch out for." Hugh
"Great even more work." Kuro
As Tohru is going to the locker room for the maintenance staff of the office building she works in Tohru gets snatched as soon as the elevator doors open. Kuro falls back on the floor, sees that Tohru is gone, and says.
"Tohru!" Kuro
Kuro sits on the floor with an angry scowl on his face. The next time the elevator doors open someone points a rifle directly at him. Next a guy in a straight jacket lands on Kuro's shoulders. Meanwhile Tohru finds herself in an unfamiliar location. In front of her is a selection of drinks. Tohru looks around, and says.
"Where am I, and where's Kuro. What's going on?" Tohru
"Most potential problems are easily avoided; If you're always prepared. I'm sure you must be thirsty. Please help yourself; I've prepared this spread especially for you. If you'd like something else I can have other options brought in." ?
"No thanks I'm ok. Don't I know you?" Tohru
Tohru has a flashback, and the man says.
"I'm Tsuyuki, and I work for a group called C3. We're a neutral party between humans and Vampires." Tsuyuki
"Neutral party?" Tohru
"Yes. I am your ally Tohru Honda. I apologize for the unusual way we brought you here, but it couldn't be helped. There is an important question to which we must have an answer. Will you work with us? Will you help us stop Tsubaki?" Tsuyuki
"Um, hold on a sec. This is all really sudden." Tohru
"One of C3's top priorities is to create harmony between Vampires and humans; To ensure peace. As you can imagine Tsubaki's existence is a threat to that mission. In order to guarantee success we need all the power we can get on our side. That's why we've brought you here today. We'd like your Servamp to work with us. You should ask him about our organization the next time you see him. I'm sure he knows all about us." Tsuyuki
"Really?" Tohru
"Our goals are the same Tohru there is no reason to refuse this partnership." Tsuyuki
"Sure, but I need to talk to Kuro about it. And how could you be running an organization like this if you're a high school student?" Tohru
"I'm 22years old; I'm an adult." Tsuyuki
"But I ran into you at my school." Tohru
"I was only there in order to come in contact with you. It was all part of my preparation. It's our responsibility to capture Tsubaki, and get him off the streets. You see he was once a Servamp that C3 was using in their research." Tsuyuki
Tohru gets an absolutely horrified look on her face after Tsuyuki finishes saying that, which doesn't go unnoticed by the only other person in the room. Tohru collects herself, and says.
"What do you mean?" Tohru
"It was before I joined the organization; So I wasn't actually involved. I've only read about it in the archives." Tsuyuki
"Wait hold on back up a bit; So Tsubaki used to be a part of C3, or something." Tohru
"I'll tell you all the details once you commit to working with us. Again there is no reason to say no." Tsuyuki
"But..." Tohru
"Tsubaki's gotten out of control, and we've taken to long to prepare an offence. We must band together to break Tsubaki and his subclasses. There is simply no other way Tohru." Tsuyuki
"Break them; You mean murder them. You want to kill them all. Then sorry I can't help you. One of those subclasses is my best friend." Tohru
"You're talking about Sakuya. That correct?" Tsuyuki
"You know?" Tohru
"Yes in order to prepare for our little meeting today I looked through the information we had collected on you." Tsuyuki
"What?" Tohru
"It's time to stop acting like a spoiled child, and be mature about this. Trust the adults, and the good people working at C3 to improve society. Your personal feelings have no place in this matter." Tsuyuki
"What makes you think you know what's best? Sitting there drinking black coffee, and calling me a child doesn't make you mature. And if adults murder then I'll stay a kid who likes chugging orange soda." Tohru
"I see, and I understand. You have the right to refuse us." Tsuyuki
"Yeah I do! See ya." Tohru
"However there's a total of 52 doors in this room, and I'm afraid only one of them leads outside. Please feel free to see yourself out. I'd hurry up though, or you'll never see Sloth again." Tsuyuki
Meanwhile Kuro is on the run thinking. 'This is such a pain.' Right after he thinks this a bullet grazes his arm, and he falls down. The hunters talk amongst themselves, and one of them proceeds to beat on Kuro. Kuro sits up, and says to his attackers.
"Oh I get it you're from C3." Kuro
One of the hunters introduces himself while the others talk angrily. Back in the meeting room Tohru faces Tsuyuki, and says.
"What are you doing to Kuro? Where is he?" Tohru
"Your Servamp is currently with expert Vampire hunters. The most talented team that C3 has. I'm positive they're giving Sloth some exercise." Tsuyuki
"Vampire hunters, seriously?" Tohru
"Vampires have another name for the hunters. They call them the mad dogs of C3." Tsuyuki
Upon hearing this Tohru begins trying to leave the room she's trapped in. When she fails Tsuyuki says.
"Welcome back Tohru. At this rate it will probably take you all day before you find your way out. Do you know about the maximum limit between an Eve and Servamp?" Tsuyuki
"Huh?" Tohru
"If you stay apart from each other for to long you'll start to feel pretty sick. Eventually you'll die from the separation."
"How could that lazy cat forget to tell me something so important?" Tohru
"You only have two options here: You can find the way out yourself, or you can agree to work with us." Tsuyuki
"Why would I want to work with someone who's putting me through crap like this?" Tohru
Tohru goes back to trying to find the correct door, and Tsuyuki says.
"Have teenagers always been this childish? Surely I was never like this." Tsuyuki
Some distance away from the meeting room Kuro is continuing to run from the hunters. One of the hunters chooses to gloat, and says.
"You're just wasting your time trying to get away from us. I mean we do have your Eve in our care. We have the upper hand right now." hunter a
'Tohru!' Kuro
That little exchange is enough to distract Kuro causing him to be captured. Back in the room Tohru is getting exhausted from unsuccessfully trying to find her way out of Tsuyuki's trap. Tsuyuki sees this, and says.
"Now then. Are you ready to act like an adult; Make the right decision?" Tsuyuki
"Decision...'All of this is just to force me to work with them. They have prepared this elaborate trap so I have no other choice. I have to comply, but is there really only one way to get out of here? Only one way to save Kuro?'" Tohru
"You must realize that the only real option you have is to listen to us; To join our cause you don't have much of a choice." Tsuyuki
"You're actually right about one thing. My choice is simple." Tohru
Tohru rolls up her sleeve, and summons her weapon thinking. 'So called adults may have prepared a correct answer, but I've got a better idea.' Tohru holds her broom out, balances on one hand while doing the splits, and begins to spin. Tsuyuki sees this, and says.
"What are you break-dancing?" Tsuyuki
While she is doing this Tohru is thinking 'Kuro and I will decide what to do on our own.' Tsuyuki pulls a gun on Tohru as she is propelled through the ceiling by all of the built up power and energy. Tohru lands back down to the ground, and Tsuyuki says.
"Fortunately you found it; Another way out. Let me warn you about something Tohru. You trust that Servamp, but you shouldn't he will be you downfall. That thing is not your friend; It's a Vampire all they do is suck the lives out of people. Every Vampire must be broken Tsubaki is just the beginning." Tsuyuki
"You want them broken. Why do you keep using that word? Why do you want to break them? Maybe you've never seen a Vampire laid out on the floor while playing video games, and eating potato chips. Or a Vampire who apologizes for lying while crying tears of regret. Or a Vampire who just wants to be left alone, but he will still save the life of a human he just met. I've been around many Vampires lately believe me that not all of them are bad. In fact some of them are new friends. I don't really know what kind of history C3 has with Vampires, or what you're trying to do. I just know that I want to keep anyone from getting hurt human or Vampire." Tohru
Tsuyuki then proceeds to tell Tohru a sob story that Tohru is to angry, and horrified to listen to. Tohru takes off through the hole in the ceiling.
Back where the hunters have Kuro trapped Kuro looks at them, and says.
"I don't want to deal with this." Kuro
Tohru comes flying in shouting.
"Kuro!" Tohru
She reaches out her hand, and takes the one Kuro stretched out to her, and takes off with him leaving the hunters in the dust. Tsuyuki calls off the hunters, and they return to what ever lives they were living before. Flying over the city Tohru and Kuro are enjoying a beautiful night, and Tohru says.
"You don't have to have an excuse to help other people, but if you hate someone, if you hurt another person you must have a reason. I want to know; Why did Tsubaki start this war?" Tohru
"Don't act cool when you can't even control your broom." Kuro
"I thought I was getting good with this." Tohru
Another Servamp watches the two of them plummet to the ground before walking away.
After landing safely on the ground Tohru and Kuro begin heading home, but before they make it there they bump into Sakuya who is walking out of a convenience store when he sees a somewhat less angry Tohru. He looks at her, and says.
"What in the world happened to make you so angry Tohru?" Sakuya
"Sakuya. Please don't ask me questions that you don't want the answer to, because you know that I will tell you the ugly truth if you do." Tohru
Upon hearing this Kuro starts to wonder exactly what C3 did to Tohru to make nicest person he knows act like, and say things like this. Sakuya is just to shocked that his childhood friend could say such things ever to be thinking much of anything. When he manages to swallow his shock, and collect himself he says.
"Alright Tohru I won't, but know that when you're ready to talk I'm here for you. I will listen to you no matter how ugly the truth is." Sakuya
Tohru starts to cry, hugs Sakuya, and says.
"Thanks Sakuya, for everything." Tohru
"That's what friends are for right." Sakuya
"Right." Tohru
Tohru lets go of Sakuya who says.
"Well it's getting late. I had better be getting home. See you at school tomorrow Tohru." Sakuya
"Before you go I should probably give you my cell phone number." Tohru
"Oh really! I had no idea that you felt that way about me I'm touched. Now how much of that did I make up?" Sakuya
Tohru yanks on Sakuya's hair, and says.
"I have all of my friends who are involved with Vampires on this phone now are you going to add your number or not you joker." Tohru
"Fine, fine just let go of my hair!" Sakuya
Tohru lets go of his hair, and hands him her phone. He adds himself to her contact list, and Sakuya
