Chapter 1 Fish out of water
The sky shone vermillion on the Island of Menagerie, a small isle southwest of Mistral, on the world of Remnant. A young boy lay on the beach gazing on the horizon. "Wish you were here Omega." The boy thought his name, Xionas Azure. His only friend calls him Fishboy. The sun finally set, but their was still light. Xionas smelt the smell of smoke in the air and rushed to town. He saw his Family home ablaze, "Dad" he thought and rushed into the inferno, passing photographs and memories burning to ash," things to be replaced, people cannot be so" he said to himself as he found his father beneath a fallen beam. His father looked cut and bruised like he put up a fight. Father. Father wake up. The tides don't call yet", his father opened his eyes, glazed and hazy " my son, my..*cough* my time is up. Remember our code' The crimson Belladonna blossoms on the Azure sky' and seek your sister in..." the light perished from Xionas' father's eyes. "Dad?" Xionas said weakly. Then slumped over, defeated by his heart and the flames. Until he heard..."the tides. The tides call you my King." A voice said in his head, then his eyes erupted an azure light as the tides rushed in, consuming the flames and clearing a path to safety.
Xionas picked up his father's corpse and headed outside, eyes still glowing azure. Until he reached the door, then collapsed. The last thing he saw was the woman he loves. "Blake" he murmured and passed out
