Chapter 20 Azure and Crimson
"O-Omega?!" Xionas blurted "but, but I saw you die. You died in my arms?"
"Can't get it through yer thick skull? We're in ya head Fishboy. Your body is in Beacon Infirmary bein watched over by Blake and the Bimbo, and I've guarded yer mind fer longer. Now Fishboy, I believe ye have a choice ta make: Hope and this world goes back on track or Rage and the world is set fer an unknown future." Xionas pondered this for a while, he thought he was in control of his destiny so why did choosing a path seem so difficult. He wished for a life with Blake but he didn't know if Hope offered it to him. And Rage is uncertainty in its purest form.
Xionas finally came to a conclusion and stepped forward "I choose 'Screw you'!" He said to the twin lights, "If people are made of all 9 lights then I'll just do the same, but of equal Power!" "You'll doom us all to oblivion!" Said a shocked Azure light as she tried to send a bolt of light to eliminate Xionas, but Xionas lifted his hand and a shield of pure blue light prevented him from being destroyed. "I make my own fate, my world will not be destroyed" he replied sternly, his eyes looking fierce "begone from my mind!" He commanded as his mindscape went black.
Moments later he and Omega stared out into the darkness. "So how long have you been a part of me?" Xionas asked his closest friend "Since your Ohm appeared, it is my symbol after all, and so long as that exists so will I, never forget that, I will always protect you" said Omega in an unnaturally calm tone "Now do me a favor and look after the Silver eyed girl, she is my sister, I can sense it" Xionas only nodded and he started to fade to white. When he came to Blake was holding his hand and passed out on a chair, guarding the door was Yang, "How long?" Xionas asked, Yang looked over and said "About 5 days, the Headmaster said that if you're here any longer that this will be your dorm. Also some spiky haired boy came in to see how you were doing, I've never seen Blake this defensive over something." Xionas gently lifted Blake's hand off of his chest and sat up, he winced in pain "Fafnir did a number on me" he muttered to himself "Tell Blake I went out to clear my head" he told Yang and proceeded to leave the infirmary.
Once downtown he walked to the docks, his guard ever vigilant, the sea seemed to calm him, it reminded him of days gone "huh, only 3 weeks till the quarter is over. Can't go home, maybe meet Ruby's parents" then he heard a police officer yell "Stop, stowaway!" He turned to see a yellow blur but it was a blur he knew all too well when he was stationed in Vacuo and ran after the blur. Eventually he came to an alley "still not paying for anything Sun?" Xionas asked the man, who was a monkey faunus with blonde hair, "Still a goody two shoes?" Said Sun as the two clasped hands and greeted each other as long time friends
