Chapter 8 The move

MARCUS POV;

Bella shifted in my arms as we discussed on what should be done. Aro discussed with Carlisle that he couldn't mention the visit or the state of Bella when they came to the small bookshop. If he did, he would be executed along with Edward. Carlisle understood the gravity of the situation and agreed to sign the non disclosure contract. However in the small print I made sure to put that if Edward decided to pursue Bella in anyway, he would be tried for treason and would be executed. Absolving Carlisles responsibility.

I looked down and gazed upon Bellas sleeping body. I was happy to see she seemed to be sleeping soundly. I feel glad that we are here to protect her. As I don't believe she would have made the journey. I heard Aro say that it was time to pack and leave. That's all I needed to get away from this place. As we exited the bookshop and Carlisle said his goodbyes. Bella shifted to be more comfortable in my arms. I asked Aro to grab some American comfort food as it would be hard to get in Italy.

Aro agreed that it would be a good idea as well as a new phone and a different clothes. Ones that where less worn down and more comfortable. As we were walking down towards the airport and private jet, we compiled a list of things that she would need. We wanted to make sure Bella felt loved and special. I could see the plane in the distance as we rushed towards it as the rain started to fall.

As we got to the plane I took Bella to the bedroom we had installed recently. Silk covers and plump pillows. Even a memory foam mattress. We went all out for Bellas comfort. I slowly bent down to put Bella to bed. But even when she was asleep she wouldn't let go of me. Aro and Cauis chuckled at the scene, sharing their affection they both felt for Bella.

It was so cute that she wouldn't let go. So I decided I would be on sleep duty. I slowly and carefully lifted Bella towards my chest, as I turned around and kicked my shoes off. I climbed into the comfy luxurious bed and settled Bella under the blanket with me. I have to say that the any emotions I suppressed over the centuries were slowly bubbling back into existence. But for once it didn't hurt. Cauis and Aro tuned the light off for the room and ordered the guard to grab the things of comfort on the list we had created for her. Looking at the painted star ceiling I finally understood what pure tranquility felt like, I slowed my thoughts and closed my eyes. This is what we all needed.
