The next day, a Sunday, Hirari was out in Shibuya together with her friends Ann and Jeizu. They were having fun at the 109, trying on weird dressed and clothing. Some were in Lolita style, others dark and metal; Ann wore one at a certain point where she looked like a living marshmallow.
After that, just to continue dress up, they entered in a cosplay shop. There, Jeizu wore a clown outfit, something that made Hirari pale and hide behind their friend, who was laughing amused.

"Jei, yamero! You know I'm terrified by clowns!" she whined, causing said girl to grin.

"Oh I do know." She replied casually, nearing her. Hirari gasped and backed away, then turned and hid between some clothes. The evil giggle that Jeizu was emitting was giving her goose bumps.

"Guys, let's go eat? It's almost 1 pm by now…" Ann said after taking off a wig she was wearing.

Hirari's head popped out from a military outfit. "Sure! I never say no to food!"

Jeizu's eyes sparkled. "Pasta!"

The Half-blood pouted. "Sushi."

"Pasta /and/ sushi?" Ann suggested. The other two girls grinned.

"Approved!"

"But I'm coming like this." Jeizu announced innocently, motioning to her clown outfit, causing Hirari to whine.

Sometime later, they were back in the crowded streets, looking for a take-away.

"Hey", Ann said all of a sudden, "isn't that Marui-kun?"

Hirari looked around. "Eh, where?" Having he red hair, it shouldn't have been too difficult to spot him.

"In there." She motioned to a cake shop.

Hirari sweatdropped. "Figures…"

They headed inside, only to find that he wasn't alone; Jackal and Akaya were there too.

"Hey guys!" Hirari smiled.

"Yo." Jackal waved lightly. "How are you doing?" he asked, concerned about the previous day.

The girl shrugged. "I'm fine, don't worry."

"Why? Did something happen?" Jeizu asked at once.

The others hesitated. She didn't know about the clans and the Magicals, so they couldn't tell her about the incident with the Vampire.

"Ah… I just…" Hirari hesitated, desperately trying to think of something.

"Jackal hit her on the head with a bamboo sword by accident, yesterday at practice." Ann intervened quickly.

Hirari gave her a light glare, and the girl shrugged. At least she came up with something.

Excuse that seemed to work, because Jeizu chuckled. "I see. Baaakaa." She teased her friend, causing her to whine lightly.

"A-ah, yeah, right." Jackal nodded. "I do hope your head doesn't hurt too much." He held back a chuckle.

"No my head is fine, thank you." She grumbled.

"Kikuta-senpai! When did you arrive?" Akaya asked, noticing the three girls only in that moment.

"A little while back." She answered, amused. "Seems you were too focused on those cakes to notice, though."

"Sumimasen." He said, scratching his head in embarrassment.

"Nah, it's fine."

"Jackal~!" Marui suddenly called. "I got it, pay for the cake."

The half Brazilian sighed deeply while going to the cashier, looking at all his money magically disappear while the redhead withdrew a huge package and joined the group.

"Say, we were going to get something to eat, wanna join us?" Ann proposed.

The boys nodded eagerly. "Sure!"

And so, the group resumed searching for a relatively cheap and not too crowded place where to have their lunch.
At a certain point though, Hirari was left behind as her friends chatted. She was lost in her thoughts and realized that she wasn't with them anymore only when she couldn't see them.

"E-eh?" she looked around, lightly panicking. "Guys!?"

She ran a bit forwards, thinking they might have gone ahead, but there was no trace of them. She was about to take out her phone to call them, when she saw a familiar face not too far from there. Her mouth opened slightly in surprise, of all the places that was the one she'd thought to be the least possible where to meet him.

"Mura!" she exclaimed, smiling big; she ran towards him and hugged him tightly.

He had been surprised hearing her voice, but hugged her tightly back at once. What she didn't notice, though, was his smile: not the usual sweet or severe one, but rather something like a lustful smirk.
She snuggled to him, leaning her head to his chest like she often did.
The Vampire eyed her exposed neck, and he leaned down a bit, his fangs baring.

"You're mine, Scanner. Wait for me." He whispered in her ear before biting harshly on her skin.

Hirari screamed on pain…

… And woke up, screaming also in reality.

Real-life Yukimura appeared in the room at once, worried. "What happened!?"

The girl slumped back in the bed, catching her breath; she was sweaty and her body trembled lightly, her heart racing.

"Just… Bad dream…" she murmured, sighing deeply in relief. She brought a hand to her neck, but the skin was unwounded even though the ghost of the pain had not faded completely yet.

The Vampire sat beside her and stroked her hair. "Do you want to tell me about it?"

Hirari nodded and quickly summarized it for him.

Yukimura frowned then sighed. "With all that's happening, it's no wonder you saw that…"
He cuddled her gently. "Don't worry; I'll make sure you'll never be left alone."

The girl smiled gratefully at him.

"By the way, Renji will come to pick you up today." He revealed after a while.

Her eyes widened in surprise. "Yanagi-sensei is?"

The man nodded. "Yes. So, want to prepare breakfast? It's early, but I doubt you want to fall asleep again." He chuckled lightly.

She thought about it a moment. Sleep or food, food or sleep…
Her stomach decided for her, rumbling just in that moment. The two of them blinked then chuckled lightly.

"Breakfast it is, then." Yukimura said amused. He picked her up bridal style then disappeared to the kitchen.

"Mura! Don't teleport, you know it makes me feel sick!" Hirari protested once appeared there.

The Vampire smiled apologetically. "Gomen, force of habit. Although you're the only one that I know that has Teleportation sickness." He couldn't prevent himself to giggle lightly, which earned him a gently smack on the head.

"Dun tease me." Hirari pouted.

Not even a half an hour later, their French Toasts were ready. Hirari placed three in each plate, while Yukimura took out the toppings from the fridge.

"What do you think Yanagi-sensei likes on them?" she wondered.

"I'm taking all we have, let's wait until he arrives." The Vampire answered as he put the food on the table.

Hirari nodded in agreement and took a spoon before opening the strawberry jam. She spread it on a toast while humming lightly. She was in high spirits, but the nasty feeling caused by the nightmare still lingered deep in her, making her feel a bit uneasy.

In that moment, the doorbell rang. Yukimura appeared to the door and opened it. "Good morning, Yanagi."

"'morning, Seiichi." He nodded at him while entering. "Mh… French toast? I was sure you'd have cooked pancakes." He smirked lightly. "New data."

Hirari chuckled, hearing him. "Sensei never changes. What-"

"Strawberry jam." He answered before she could finish. "I know there's a lot, Kikuta-kun, it's your favourite. So don't bother lying that it's finished."

Hirari pouted at him as he entered the kitchen. "Were you just reading my mind?"

He smirked lightly. "No, it was all based on my data." He revealed, sitting down.

The girl sighed lightly and passed him the jam, lightly sulking. She really loved it, Yukimura made tons for her insatiable gluttony whenever he could.

They ate quietly, making small talk at times; rarely did they speak about important things during meals.

And then, it was time to go. Hirari pecked Yukimura's cheek before leaving, bag on her shoulder and Talisman around her neck.

"Thanks for the food." Yanagi smiled lightly.

"Anytime." Yukimura answered, ruffling the girl's hair. "Take care of her, ne."

Yanagi nodded. "Don't worry, I will not allow anyone to get near us." He promised. He placed a hand on Hirari's shoulder and left, walking to the station.

Yukimura watched them leave, waiting till they had disappeared from his sight. He sighed softly, a bit troubled by the recent events. He glanced around a moment before heading back inside, locking the door.

Not too far from the apartment there was a certain tall tree, whose leaves were so full that they could hide anything.
And indeed, there was a certain redhead with a binocular, spying on the house.

"The girl just left with that Data man." He muttered, lowering it. "Yuushi was right, it is her."

Someone snorted. "He's always right, ain't he?" A man with a blue cap stretched lightly. "You saw the leader?"

"Yep." The redhead nodded. "Wake up Jirou, we need to tell Atobe."

The other neared a third sleeping boy, whose blond curls made him look like a little angle. He shook him roughly. "Jirou! Jirou wake up!"

The boy called Jirou yawned and opened an eye. "What? Is it time to go back already?"

The redhead sweatdropped. "No. Can you tell Atobe that Yuushi was right?"

Jirou sat up, yawning again. "Sure…" He closed his eyes a moment, and for a second the other two thought that he had fallen asleep again. But then they shot open again.

"He says to keep an eye on her." He murmured sleepily.

"Aaalright." The redhead nodded and resumed to watch through the binocular. He suddenly gasped. "Y-Yukimura just left!"

"… He says to get inside and search for something usef-"Jirou was speaking when he fell asleep.

Shishido groaned lightly. "Got it, got it." He grumbled and jumped down. "Let's go, Kabaji."

"Usu." Answered a giant man who was hidden in the bushes. Together they went to the door, Shishido using his Earth magic to open the locked door. They entered silently and looked around.
At a certain point, he spotted something in the kitchen, a note on a paper left on the table.
He grinned and contacted the redhead at once. "Oi Mukahi, seems like Yukimura will return home very late this night." He informed him.

The redhead nodded and woke up Jirou once more, who reported to their leader while Shishido and Kabaji left the house to join the other two.

When he heard the news, Atobe, who was sipping some refined wine in his living room, smirked. He placed the glass down slowly.

"It seems like Ore-sama will finally be able to pay a visit to our dear Scanner." He chuckled.
