"So, nothing can get in or out from there when the barrier is active." Yukimura mused.
He and the other two leaders had just received the report from their Magicians about their failed attempts in breaking the barrier that was around Atobe's mansion – or Hyoutei's HQ, it didn't make a difference. The three of them were currently in Fudoumine's main building, discussing the situation and trying to decide on a new plan.

"Doesn't that mean, though, that they themselves cannot leave the place without deactivating it?" Tachibana asked.

Tezuka shook his head. "Apparently, theirs is a special barrier which reacts to their auras. Anything or anyone that is not 'registered', so to speak, is unable to pass through it. Which reminds me," he turned to the Vampire, "isn't one of your men infiltrated in Hyoutei?"

Yukimura nodded. "Indeed. Thanks to his Illusions he can model not just the aspect of a person, but even their race – and aura. Which means that right now he is an identical copy of Oshitari, even though they belong to two different races, since he's a Vampire while Niou a Human.
Renji has thought of making him work on the barrier somehow, from the inside." He continued. "Find a way to get rid of it, or weaken it; anything, really. The only problem is, we aren't receiving any more reports from him. No contact has been made since he came at the dojo, a few days ago." Yukimura frowned. "I won't deny that I'm getting worried."

"Do you think that he's in danger?" Tachibana asked. None of them even suggested that Niou might be betraying them, the three leaders were sure that all of their subordinates were loyal to the death.

"Atobe might have seen through him." Yukimura admitted.

"Damn him and his Insight." Fudoumine's leader grumbled.

"I'm not sure though. Maybe he's just being watched closely and cannot risk to make any contact." He added quickly.

Tezuka nodded. "We'll have to do without him then. Unfortunately, none of my people has the ability to infiltrate such a strong clan."

"Same here." Tachibana said bitterly.

They kept discussing for the entire day, unable to reach a conclusion; that left the leader of Rikkai incredibly frustrated, his guilt rising when he appeared back home. He was almost expecting his protégée to run to him with a smile on her lips, may be tired or happy. But of course that was impossible, for she wasn't there.
Yukimura clenched his fists in anger. Rationally, he knew that she was alive; Atobe needed her, so he would never have her killed. Even though they say that history repeats itself , he didn't want to believe that this could be the case. Not this time. Atobe would not take away another person close to him. What had occurred centuries before would not happen again. Never. Yukimura swore that to himself. Never.

Hirari had thought that she wouldn't be able to sleep at all, with Atobe so close to her. Apparently though, the blood loss takes its toll, and she had fallen asleep right after the Vampire finished feeding on her.
In the morning, she was woken up roughly, and she groaned while opening her eyes. The light in the room was dim; she glanced out of the window, noticing that it was only dawn. She was still feeling weak and tired, and her wrists hurt even though the bruises had already healed.

"Oi." Atobe's icy voice rang near her; she tilted her head to meet his glare.

"What? I'm awake." She grumbled, her voice hoarse.

He smirked. "Time to work, slave."

Hirari gasped at how he had addressed her. She clenched her fists in rage and literally growled at him. "You…! HOW DO YOU DARE? I'm a person, you goddamn fucking bastard!" She kept insulting him heavily, but that only made the Vampire laugh at her, infuriating her even more. During her rant, she noticed that he wasn't alone: a huge man was standing still, right behind him. She figured out at once that he was a Human, for she couldn't see anything about him.

"Using your power already, ahn?" Atobe smirked. "Warming up?"

She scoffed at him, resuming her insults' chain.

At a certain point he rose a finger. "You have ten minutes to get ready." He announced her coldly before disappearing.

Hirari groaned. "Come here, you coward! I'm gonna kill you!"

Kabaji neared her and uncuffed her, quickly grabbing her arm in a tight yet not painful grip, preventing her from agitating further.

She stared at him but understood that she had no chance to win with him. He huffed and looked away. "Fine, I've got it…"

The giant released her arm and watched her closely. Hirari ran to the bathroom to quickly do what she needed to do, then hurried back inside the room, where a tray with fancy breakfast now was. Unfortunately, she had only managed to gulp down a few bites before Kabaji grabbed her again, ushering her out. She whined – her stomach was protesting – yet couldn't do anything but follow him.
He lead her downstairs to the entrance hall; as they walked, Hirari tried to memorise the path as best as she could.

Once there, the girl looked around, wondering why he had stopped since nobody else was there. She eyed the huge main doors, when she suddenly tensed, feeling a Vampire appear. Supposing that it was Atobe, she tensed and spun around to face him – but it turned out that it was someone else.
Hirari blinked in surprise. It was the blue haired, megane guy that had passed by her room when she first spoke to Ootori, the very first day of her forced permanence there. If she recalled right, his name was Oshitari, or something like that.

He might not have been Hyoutei's leader, but she still eyed him warily, suspicious of him: she didn't trust any of them.

Oshitari smirked down at her. Damn, why did these guys have to be all so tall?

"Are you ready, Scanner?" he asked with his deep voice.

Hirari mentally groaned. Really, was it so difficult to just call her by her name?
Well, she added bitterly, at least he doesn't call me 'slave'.
The thought of what Atobe had said made her feel like insulting him again, present or not.

She sighed. "It's not like I have a choice, do I? Let's go already then; the earlier we leave the earlier we return."
Though suddenly she remembered that that damn kidnapper would feed on her once back; suddenly the thought of staying out as long as possible felt more appealing than ever.

Oshitari chuckled before grabbing her arm, not too tightly but firmly. "Your thoughts are amusing."

Hirari glared at him. "Stay out of my head!"
Great, they have a mind reader here too. Awesome.

He only smirked at her before disappearing together with her. Hirari yelped, not expecting to teleport. She felt shivers run down her spine as they moved, and when they appeared her head was spinning. She instinctively held on his arm tightly, fighting off the vertigo. When she was feeling well again, she glanced around to see where they had landed… and paled.

"Why the hell are we on top of the Sky Tree!?" she screamed in terror, clinging to him for dear life. The platform they were standing on didn't even have a diameter of two meters; one false step and she'd fall down to the ground. Falling down from a height of 634 metres was not at the top of her priorities, at the moment.

Oshitari chuckled again. "As you know, this is the highest place in Tokyo; now look down and tell me whenever you find some non-Humans. And no lies." He smirked darkly at her. "I'll know."

She frowned at him and shuddered as she glanced down. She made sure to have a firm grip on him before starting to scan the area.

First she started to focus on the tower itself; she had long discovered that she did best if she worked on small areas one at a time instead of trying to cover the whole place. Human, Human, Human… Vampire!

"There is a Vampire just beneath us… Fifteen, no, twenty meters down." She told him.

Oshitari looked at her a moment, then nodded. He mentally contacted one of his men that was standing ready nearby to go scout that person.

Hirari resumed to search, pointing out the people that she found. There were more than she thought, but then again, she had never really searched for them; also, let's not forget that Tokyo is the biggest city in the world.

Oshitari didn't let her rest for the whole day; they just took a small break to allow her to eat at lunch, then he forced her back up there. Many times Hirari thanked the Heavens that she was not afraid of heights.

"This can do for today." He finally declared, hours after the sun had set.
They teleported back to Atobe's room.

Hirari shuddered and collapsed to the ground, her face green. She was feeling weak and tired from all the searching, she had never focused that hard in just one day. Again, she felt dizzy and would have probably thrown up if she hadn't already digested all the food she had eaten for lunch.

Atobe was sitting on one of his couches, already changed to go to bed; he was killing the time by reading. He glanced at them when they appeared and stood up, smirking.

"Everything went smoothly, didn't it?" he asked Oshitari, ignoring the temporarily sick girl.

The other Vampire nodded. "Yes. Quite impressive, I have to admit. We have found about two hundred Vampires and a few Demons, we shall see in the next days how many of them are going to join us."

Atobe nodded, his eyes glinting in triumph. "Good job, Oshitari. Ore-sama will leave her in your care then."

Oshitari chuckled before disappearing.

Atobe glanced down at Hirari, who was getting back to her feet, and neared her, grabbing her hand before she could even try to step back.

The girl tensed and looked at him warily before struggling, only to wince in pain when he tightened his grip so much that she nearly felt her fingers crack.
He chuckled evilly and pulled her close to him, his free hand going to grab her hair and pulling them so that she'd tilt her head and expose her neck.

Hirari whimpered in pain at his roughness and of course tried to struggle, but he pinned her quickly against the couch before baring his fangs and biting down.

"Dessert time~."
