"Damnit!" Naruto breathed heavily. It has already been an hour into the battle and the whole forest was leveled out until it was nothing, but dirt. Even after him and Killer Bee figured out how to take down the Jinchūriki they still couldn't get close enough to take out the rods. Even worse when his clone came back from being with the five Kage only to find out that there were another Madara that they were fighting.

"Naruto we need to retreat," Gyūki was now talking because he was reaching his limits after failing to seal his brethren with his ink.

"What! No Octopops we can't runaway! We can't let him get away!" the golden nin yelled as stood in the middle of Gyūki's giant palm. He refused to give up and let this mask fiend walk away.

"We are both running low on chakra and we need to regroup..don't let saving your friend blind you!"

Suddenly Gobi rammed into Gyūki's side causing him to be thrown from a great distance. Making him groans in pain because Gobi's pierced him with it horns making him bleed.

"Octopops are you o-" Naruto's sentence was interrupted by the undead Mizukage appearing from behind him.

"Coral palm!" Yagura yelled as he slapped him on his back pushing him off Octopop's palm. Naruto felt something grow like a hard stone onto his back and it sent him spiraling downwards. He was trying his best to get it off, but he ended up slamming onto his back on the ground knocking the wind out of him. The golden nin was struggling to even lift himself up because it weighed like a ton and it seem like he was a turtle trap on his back.

"It is all over now," Obito said appearing above him within seconds reaching out to grab him. The masked man didn't get to touch him though because he was interrupted by Might Guy trying to kick in the side of his head and Kakashi trying to punch him in his gut. Instantly he fazed out of existence and back a few yards away from them.

"Right on time eh Kakashi, we make a formidable team as always my eternal rival!" Guy said hopping up and down as if he was warming up for a exercise. With his nunchucks he smashed the shell to pieces from Naruto's back. His Kyūbi chakra mode vanished because that whole attack drained him of his power.

"Don't underestimate him Guy," Kakashi warned never having his eyes waver from the masked man that was in front of him.

Obito reached for the handle of the Gunbai on his back seeing as he needed to get serious now. Was when he felt something wet hit his wrist and slide down inside his glove. At first he thought it was sweat thinking that he was getting nervous in front of his opponents then he felt another raindrop fell on him.

It began to rain and usually Obito would see this as a sign of good fortune because it was a reminder of his Hinata. But on the battlefield it was sore reminder of what he could never have again . While it rained softly all he could hear was her voice in his ear pleading to him.

"Please don't kill my friends! You promised me you wouldn't hurt them!"

Obito gripped on the handle of the weapon tight and violently fanned a gust wind over his enemies pushing them back a bit. He broke his promise and more than likely broke her heart by leaving.

"Promises are meant to be broken isn't that right Kakashi," Obito said suddenly directing all his anger at the silver nin who was narrowing his eyes at him.

Before any of them could respond Gobi came charging at Gyūki once more, but this time Hachibi was ready for his brother this time.

"Oh no you don't! I'm not falling for the same trick again!" and grabbed Gobi by it massive horns and flung him at the masked man.

The rouge nin had to jump up and over to evade the giant beast. Gobi readily got back up on it hoofs and shook it dolphin like head. The creature suddenly became enraged when staring at masked nin. Stomping it right front hoof and flaring it horse like nostrils. It came stampede at him with full force. Obito raised his hand immediately barb chains spawned out his palm attaching on to black receiver onto the beast's neck.

"Foolish to even think that you can defy me!" he remarked and gave the chain a strong tug making Gobi topple over in a thunderous crash. Dragging the creature into the Gedo statue and feeding it back to the statue again. He wasn't risking any of the tailed beasts to have their own free will.

"We have to remove those black rods!" Naruto said frustrated because he could mentally hear Gobi screaming in pain when those chains touch it.

"You heard it too huh Naruto...I hate seeing my own kind getting treated in such a terrible way!" Gyūki grunted upset.

"Like I said before he is a coward and has others fight his battles for him! He did it to Hinata and Sasuke. I see no difference in what he is doing this time!"

Obito couldn't help but, laugh at his ridiculous point. This further angered Naruto, but Kakashi put his hand on his shoulder telling him to breathe.

"Think whatever you want to think and believe in whatever lie you tell yourself. Call me whatever name you think suits me because it makes no difference to me," he chuckled darkly.

Gathering all the remaining tailed beasts he had left as they open their mouths wide and blasted a Biju bomb straight at the Konoha heroes. When the dust settled his enemies were still standing. There was a golden shield shining bright like the sun.

"I underestimate his abilities and he has fully mastered the Kyūbi's chakra..." Obito was blinded by it for a second as he frowned underneath his mask.

"How about we make a deal Uzumaki Naruto?"

"We don't negotiate with terrorists Madara!" Kakashi spoken before he could reply.

"Even if it meant it would get his beloved friend back?" he asked cunningly as he teleported the fake Hinata here. All eyes were glued on the blue haired kunoichi in the Akatsuki robe with the hood up covering most of her face.

"Hinata!" the golden nin was first to break the silence feeling as though his heart was pumping outside his chest.

She stared at him with haunted lilac eyes and slightly moved forward towards them, until the mask man yanked her back roughly to his side.

"Let her go!"

"Gladly, though first give up the Kyūbi within you and Hachibi besides you,"

"Listen to me Naruto this may be hard for you to believe, but Hinata betrayed us as soon as she killed those Anbu back at the prison," he was explaining this to his student as calm as he could be.

"She was under genjutsu-"

"You know that isn't true, we both saw the surveillance tapes. She killed without mercy, but the only person she couldn't kill was you and you saw the way she cried after knocking you out," Obito frowned deepen from Kakashi's words while thinking not his Hinata.

"Why were you always so protective over this boy Hinata?" more than ever he wished he could go back into time just to ask her this question even if he would despise her answer.

"She is not the Hinata we use to know anymore and we can not trust this man especially since he is the reason we are at war!" the copy nin hoped he heed his warnings. Also he could smell the air, there was something off about Hinata's scent, it smelled like her, but it didn't at the same time and he wasn't too sure if it was rain doing that or what?

"No deal Madara or whoever the hell you are! I rather beat the shit out of you in order to save Hinata instead!" Naruto said trusting his sensei as he smacked his right fist to his left palm.

Obito merely snapped his fingers as Nanabi snatched "Hinata" up taking off into the evening horizon as chao as ensured among them.

"Chōmei get a hold of yourself and fight back damnit!" Gyūki yelled angerily at his brother flying in the sky. Thus starting a battle where Naruto and his crew focus on breaking the tailed beasts who were still under the mask man's control. One by one they were able to free them, but just as quick the mask nin threw them back into the demonic statue.

Until it was him versus them with the statue awakening. It's omitted such power that it was breaking apart the surface of the ground to float upward as if there was zero gravity. All statue's eyes were open and bleeding which was a good sign to Obito because it meant it was almost done consuming the content in the Amber Purifying pot and the Crimson Gourd. The Geto statue let out a monstrous roar causing everyone's being to quake out of fear.

"Come on out Jūbi!" Obito was ready for the final part to commence. Immediately he recognized Kakashi's Kamui admitting to warp the statue's head off in order to stop this process. Obito unlocked his Mangekyo Sharingan to cease his vortex.

"T-That's not possible," Kakashi broke in a cold sweat because the mask man's eye was the exactly same Mangekyo Sharingan that he had.

"I told you not so long ago... that trick will not work on me," the mask nin tsked with the blue haired kunoichi standing next to him again.

The Copy nin had had a sudden weird epiphany in that moment. Memories and flashbacks of Hinata coming to that gravesite early in the morning and it was raining like it was now. Her staring at that particular tombstone. Her startled words that he dismissed long ago had resurfaced and played on repeat.

"You know him-them!"

"Him.."

"Him.."

"Y-You can't be-"

"Silence your tongue before I silent it for you!" Obito glared deadly at Kakashi who was dumbfounded by his realization.
