AN bleuxe: I have to say I've been wanting to write this chapter for a very long time because it been trapped in my head for a long time. I hope everyone enjoy it like I did. Happy reading all this is thinking and dreams.
It was like time had stop and Naruto didn't want any of this to be real as Sakura pushed the stone wall down. It had to be nightmare there were just too many bodies lying on the ground and he just want to wake up. He accidentally dropped her as she rolled from his knees to the ground. Hinata's eyes were just so vacant staring at nothingness, her blood was all over his clothes it was causing his whole body to tremble. Neji in the background dropped to his knees sobbing because his sweet and shy cousin was gone forever.
"Earlier didn't you said that you were going to be the greatest Hokage the world has ever seen. I never known a Hokage to let a friend die in front of them!" the rouge nin was the first to break the silence. He was underneath his skin filling him up with self doubt knowing exactly what to say because he was so transparent to him.
"You living as a jinchūriki. I know all the strive and suffering that you endurance your entire life. If you truly want to remove yourself from this hell and stop the bloodshed... then you know what you must do!" Obito raised his gloved out towards Naruto in a welcoming way.
"Join us!" he finish with clarity seeing him sink farther into despair.
Naruto raised his hand and bowed his head in defeat and unable to look at the blue haired kunoichi's body any longer. Within seconds Sakura grabbed his hand pulling him up into a hug.
"N-No! D-Don't leave me behind Naruto!" she cried because never wanted to see him give up.
"You can't fall to darkness like Sasuke!" as his eyes widened while her arms tightened around him.
"S-Sakura I don't want anymore my friends to died," he whispered sadly feeling nothing, but shame.
"It not your ninja way to give-up. It not what your friends want and I'm sure it not what Hinata wanted either." Sakura was now staring at his tear strained face.
The pink kunoichi's feelings grew for Naruto ever since Pein's invasion when she tried to protect him. He told her that she was crazy for doing that, but honestly she didn't want him taken away from her. Then back in the land of Iron she stupidly confessed her feelings to him, only for him to turn around and reject her because he thought she was lying.
It made Sakura questioned what she was actually feeling towards Naruto and if those feelings for Sasuke were really gone. But seeing him at his lowest point in life showed her without a shadow of a doubt that she truly cared for Naruto and these feelings for him were real.
"Don't let Hinata's death be in vain and don't let those man's words sway you! You are stronger than that and you are no longer alone in this fight!" her emerald eyes were full of determination as she squeezed both his hands igniting a spark between them.
"Don't give-up because I won't let you!" Sakura promised never let go of his hands.
"Your right and don't worry I'm not leaving you behind!" Naruto beamed at her feeling empowered by her speech.
"Eh you idiot is that all gotten from what I said?!" she huffed and was tempted to bop him over the head. The pink kunoichi was suddenly engulfed by his Kyūbi chakra all over her body.
"You really are the best Sakura," his Kyūbi chakra mode became back to him in a flash. She was speechless because she never felt more protected like she did now. Sakura felt the strongest just by holding Naruto's hand.
Obito was completely disgusted by them to the point that even Madara could tell it was triggering him.
"See how your precious friends decide to mourn for you Hinata," the rouge nin yearned for Hinata to see this. How dare they move on so quickly was all he could think of. Even if the body was a fake it still hurt him beyond believe that this plan wasn't working like he thought it would.
"Obito your focus is making the Jūbi unstable!" Madara tried to force him back to reality, but his words fell on deaf ears.
"Naruto your supposed to give up! Damn you! I will not lose ...not when I give up everything I loved for this!"
"It could destroy us both..." his mentor warned seeing he was preparing the Jūbi for a deadly attack having all it's tails wrapped up tight against it's body.
"I don't care!" Obito shouted because for once in his life he didn't give a fuck about what Madara was saying. Ultimately the attack failed and ended up detaching them from the Jūbi leaving the beast to run amok on it's own.
Kakashi saw this as an opportunity to attack Obito now that he was vulnerable. The rouge nin was ready for him and teleport them both into his pocket universe. The silver nin noticed they were both no longer on the battlefield, but all it did was add to the tension between them.
"Who was that woman you killed?" Kakashi asked because he was no fool. Whoever that person was it just wasn't Hinata and it became more appeared when it did stop raining. The strong scent of blood overpowered him and showed who it really was.
"Where is Hinata? Her teammates are sensory types they will figure out that it isn't her...but you knew that already didn't you?"
He remained silent curious in a ways of where his former friend was getting at.
"Why are you really doing this?" Kakashi questioned again because he knew this had nothing to do with Rin.
"Nothing you are talking about matters and we are no longer teammates I'm not obligated to answer you," Obito made it abundantly clear that this wasn't some kind of truces.
"You can't hide the facts forever Obito the truth will come out!" he boomed pointing his finger at him.
"Then let the truth die right along with you Kakashi!" the rouge nin stated coldly.
Both kunai and metal pike clashed fiercely against one another to the point it was creating sparks. Until they both ended up fighting hand to hand combat. Kakashi had no other choice, but to kill him. Obito showed how evil he had become through out this war. He was no longer his childhood friend/rival, but someone who needed to be put down.
"I'm borrowing this!" Obito suddenly smirked while their hands were locked in a will of strength. He made Kakashi do the necessity hand signs that he needed and kicked him in the chin.
"Fire style Fireball Jutsu!"
"Earth style Mud Wall!" The silver nin slammed his palms on the ground easily counter the large fireball with a stone wall.
The stone was getting chipped away by the blast sending particles of dust and smoke everywhere. Kakashi heard footsteps running up to his left, but what he saw coming out of the cloud was a kunai with a cloth tied onto its handle like a parachute floating in the air.
Obito crept onto his right side ready to stab him. Instantly the silver nin popped up and out of the ground in front of him.
"This has to be the real one!" he thought not wanting to be conned. The rouge nin ended up stabbing the clone as it send a thousand voltages of electricity through out his body. He didn't have time to scream because Kakashi punched him in his jaw and then kicked him in his ribs sending him flying.
Obito bounced heavily on the ground struggling to get back up on his feet. He began racing towards him at full speed with the metal pike back in his hand. Kakashi held a kunai as it glowed with electricity of his chidori and ran towards him as well. In that moment Obito saw Rin and could hear her as clear as day say.
"Forgive and stop blaming Kakashi..."
This made him drop his metal pike last second as it clinked to the ground. Kakashi widened his eyes in confusion because he ended up punching a hole in Obito's chest making him vomit up blood.
"W-Why did you stop?" he said in complete shock.
"R-Rin would have been sad if I was the one to send you to see her," he coughed and wheezed.
The silver nin quickly removed his arm from his chest leaving a gaping hole where his heart should be. The rouge nin put all his strength in his legs refusing to fall.
"It over..." Kakashi not knowing what else to say because he knew he didn't have long to live and honestly this ordeal mentally messed him up.
"Y-Yes I'm finally free!" Obito laughed merrily sounding completely crazy to him. Madara could no longer could control him now that the seal was gone.
"Stop with the bullshit-"
"Want to thank you Kakashi! You've done something me nor my love Hinata couldn't do!" he cut him off happily.
He quickly used his Kamui leaving Kakashi shouting for him to stop. He fell flat on his back now that he was back on the battlefield. Doing the hand seals he needed to do in order to have the Jūbi inside of him. There a 50/50 chance that Obito would not survive become a jinchūriki, but this was the final part for him to grab power.
