Obito couldn't remember a time where he had been so happy. He transformed himself back to his old self. Well he tried to anyways his hair was still white as snow and his left eye was still occupied by the Jūbi's eye. He assumed it because the Jūbi wanted to see the outside world and he let it as long as the creature didn't try to control his body.
Obito kneel down and laid his head on Hinata's belly as she sat on the bench in the hallway. She had her fingers in his hair and was massaging his scalp amazed at how white his hair was.
"When does the baby start moving around?" he asked unable to contain his excitement.
"About 20 weeks maybe even 16 weeks,"
"Seem like such a long time, but before you know it, you will be born. In me and your mommy arms welcoming you," Obito murmured against her womb.
Hinata wished they could stay like this forever, but knew they couldn't as she looked at the clock on the wall. Slowly ticking their time together away.
"If you could go to anywhere in the world where would you want go?" he suddenly asked while looking up at her.
She gave him a serious look knowing he wasn't being hypothetical and she knew better than to indulge in such a conversation.
"Obito..."
"Somewhere tropical maybe," he automatically interrupted her.
"Somewhere faraway from here and a place where it never rains either, wouldn't that be nice?" The blue kunoichi shook her head in disagreement of what he was saying.
"Our child will be safe..." he wanted her to understand the grave situation they were in.
"Our child will inherit our problems if we run again," she said in concern not wanting to be fugitives.
Hinata explained to Obito what happened during when Kakashi, Neji and her team got to Ame. So far everyone reacted to her with way less harshness than what she thought would have happened. She wanted him to have some trust that staying in Konoha was what needed to happen.
"We have to face the consequences of what we had done. I don't want to lie or hide anymore!" Hinata pleaded with to him to see things her way.
"I just don't want to lose you or my child. This is so much more personal than ever!" Obito pained to say wrapping his arms on the small of her back. He couldn't protect her in a jail cell and he couldn't help with her daily life.
The rouge nin already messed up so horribly making her go through so much during her early stages of pregnancy. It was a miracle that she didn't have a miscarriage, especially when she told her how far along she was.
"Damn Kabuto for sending Hinata to do his dirty work. Fuck Madara I should have fought and ended him right then, when he tried to have his way with her," Obito thought infuriated wanting to cause them pain in the worst way. He didn't care if neither of them didn't know about her pregnancy back then. He should of went ballistic back then instead of playing it cool.
"Hinata what if they take the baby away, because they decided to lock you up for conspiring with me even though you haven't," he said seeing how this all could play out. He began thinking about what happened with her and her cousin knowing her family might not even accept their unborn child.
Obito already lost his first love to terrible circumstances. If he lost Hinata and his first child, honestly he would self destruct. She shut her eyes knowing it could be all over for them and life they know it will change drastically. But despite that the byakugan princess still held him hugging his head to her belly.
"Obito please have faith that I know what I'm doing. I know our last plan failed because of Kabuto and Madara, but I promise I will do my best to make sure it doesn't come to that,"
He listened to her voice though her baby bump was so soothing to him.
"I have faith in you Hinata, but if something happens to our baby. I will not spare not a single person in Konoha," Obito compromised only for her/his family.
She nodded understanding this was nonnegotiable and landed a kiss on his forehead. He rubbed the smalls of her back and then laid his hand on her stomach again. Not knowing when he will see her or if he will ever have the chance to see his child.
So many questions swarming around Obito's head, but an uneasiness settled in him. He always had a plan for everything, but now it just uncertainty and he didn't have the will to persuaded her other wise. He knew Hinata loved him and she felt like this she was doing the right thing for them.
Hinata saw out the corner of eye as the barrier slowly receded from the walls.
"It not too late to change your mind my rose..." he barely whispered drawing circles on her belly.
It really pulled at Hinata's heartstrings how defeated he sounded. She didn't want him to give up and pulled him up into a kiss. He pulling her in even farther into a passionate kiss. He missed her lips so dearly. They both stood up staring at each other with mixture of emotions.
Obito forced himself to move away from her first. Once again he put his hands on the top of his head to show that he was surrendering as the barrier fell. But his eyes never left hers.
"Hinata! Are you alright?" Naruto asked when they first entered the building.
Before she could answer Ibiki was quick to arrest the rouge nin purposely tightening the cuffs on his wrists.
"Criminal scum! You think you could take control of my tower!" he shouted and then kicked Obito in the back of his knees making him fall face first.
The blue kunoichi gasped as she clenched her angry fists from shaking. He was already showing little to no resistance and it made Hinata want to defend him.
"Hinata I'm fine. Remember what I told you," Obito sighed because even with his back turned to her. He could feel a wave of her anger wash over him and honestly he wasn't in any type of pain. His new found jinchūriki body was a whole lot more sturdy than his last one.
Hinata could do nothing, but watch helplessly as he was dragged away by Ibiki and a squad of Anbu behind him. Questioning herself harshly in the back of her mind
"Did I make the right choice for us?"
