Lorelai was sitting in the waiting room at her physical therapists office. She had been going to therapy for a couple weeks and she was already feeling the difference it was making. She hadn't been cleared to do field work again, but she was walking well and had been cleared to fly with the team again. However, she decided not to go back to work till she was cleared to work in the field again. It would give her the chance to finish her degree as well.

The front door of the therapist office opened she looked up and saw Spencer. "Hey. What are you doing here?" She asked they had been on a case out of state.

"Got back an hour ago. Knew you had therapy wanted to come support you. Haven't been able to yet." He said

Lorelai smiled. "Or you're coming to make sure I am following the rules that the doctor tells me?" She asked

Spencer chuckled and sat with her. "No. I trust you. I -know you wouldn't do anything to make it longer before you can return to field work." He said

Lorelai smiled. She was called in and they both went in. Lorelai introduced then both before she started on her exercises with the therapist.

"You have been stretching at home daily?" She was asked

"Yes. Once a day in the morning after my knee has had a chance to warm up from walking." She told him

"Good." The doctor said. "Is it starting to feel easier over time?"

Lorelai nodded. "I don't know if it's the exercises here or at home, but I definitely feel like I have more range of movement and less discomfort and more strength. I haven't had to take pain killers in about a week." She told him

The doctor nodded. "I think its time to up the intensity see what your knee can really do. You think you can handle that?"

Lorelai smiled and nodded.

They worked through the therapy at the end of the session the therapist looked to both Lorelai and Spencer. "Do either of you have any questions?"

Lorelai said no and looked up at Spencer with a smile. Spencer said no as well that he was just there to support her.

They went out to the receptionist where she paid and booked her next couple appointments before heading to the parking lot towards Spencer's car. She had been taking a bus to therapy because her knee was always sore after treatment, and she knew it was better for her not to drive.

"Are you too tired or would you like to get something to eat together?" He asked

"I could go for Chinese." She told him. The two of them went to a local place they would go often and were seated at a table by a waitress who knew them well. They looked at the menu deciding what they wanted before ordering.

Lorelai looked at Spencer. "How was the case?" She asked

"Pretty run of the mile." He told her.

"That's good, nothing to stressful." She said

Spencer nodded

"So. I um guess I should tell you something." Lorelai said

Spencer tilted his head as their drinks were brought to the table. "Oh?"

"Remember a couple years ago you and I discussed me going back to school to get my master's in criminology?" She said

"I was just encouraging. I know its something you want." He told her

Lorelai nodded. "Well, it was the push I needed. I have been doing the course online for the last couple years and I am about to finish." She told him

Spencer was surprised. "You never mentioned." He told her

Lorelai nodded. "I didn't tell anyone. I didn't want to have tell everyone if I failed…" She said

"Oh. Well, I assume that didn't happen." He said

"No. My average is in the high 90% before the final section and exam. So, I don't think I could fail even if bombed both." She said

Spencer smiled. "I'm proud of you." He said

Lorelai smiled. "Thanks. You angry I didn't tell you?" She asked

Spencer shook his head. "No. You don't ever have to worry about telling me things though. Even if you had failed it wouldn't change the way I look or think of you. And I could have helped." He told her

Lorelai nodded. "I'll keep that in mind for the future if I choose to do any more education, but I wanted to do it on my own. I have always done all my education without help and I know now I would have a team of people willing to help me, but I needed to do it on my own." He told her.

Spencer nodded. He understood

Their food arrived and they ate. As they were finishing up he looked at her.

"I'm also proud of you for working so hard in therapy and doing what the doctor has told you to do." He said

Lorelai smiled. "I think I have ignored people who know better for long enough. I think I should just do what I'm told."

Spencer chuckled. "I see. So finally getting through your stubbornness?" He asked

"For things like this yes. I am still stubborn. Hopefully in the right situations." She said

Spencer smiled and took her hand across the table. "Fair enough."

The waitress came over and took their empty plates. "You two get married soon?" She ask. The staff at this restaurant were all from China. It was a family run business and the staff's english wasn't quite perfect but that also meant the food was authentic and delicious. And the staff were all wonderful people who they knew pretty well as they came in at least once a month.

Lorelai chuckled. "Probably not for awhile. I'm only eighteen." She said

"Eighteen is adult. Eighteen can get married." She said with a smile.

She was an older woman who clearly had her own way of thinking.

Spencer smiled. "I think we are happy just dating for now." He told her

The woman smiled and nodded. She took the plates and went.

Lorelai and Spencer looked at each other and chuckled. "I love this place." Spencer said

"You know when and if we get married we are going to have to invite them." Lorelai told him

Spencer laughed. "I think they would be insulted if we didn't."

Their bill was brought, and Spencer took it and paid.

They went out to his car and started the drive to her place. "Is there a graduation ceremony for this course?" He asked

Lorelai smiled. "No. But my dad has already insisted there will be a celebration."

Spencer smiled. "You only have yourself to blame for bringing the team closer together." He told her.

Lorelai laughed. "That's fair. But is that a bad thing?"

"No. Not at all." He told her

He pulled into her driveway. "When are you going to tell the rest of the team about your master's?" he asked

Lorelai sighed. "I dunno. When I'm done."

Spencer smiled. "Okay. Your choice."

"But you think I should?" She said

"I would. But you and I are different people." He said

"Think its wrong to just text everyone?" She asked

"Its up to you how you do it and if you do it. Its not the worst way no." He said.

"Maybe I'll come into the office bring some coffee tomorrow and tell them." She said

Spencer smiled. "Much better option."

Both of them got out of the car. Spencer walked her to the door.

"Thanks for coming and for dinner." She said

"Of course." He told her. He kissed her and she returned the kiss before they said good night and Lorelai went inside.

"NO!" she heard Jack scream as she walked into the house.
