It was the next weekend. Lorelai had spent the week preparing for Thanksgiving. It was her last week before going back to work. She had been getting up at the normal time she would for work and keeping herself busy to make sure that she was able to get up and go back to work the following week.

Rebecca had gotten into town Friday night. She hadn't been able to come for Lorelai's graduation party the week before and come for Thanksgiving as well and she had already planned for this weekend.

Lorelai picked her up at the airport and started the drive home.

"How was the flight?" Lorelai asked

"It was good. Very smooth flight." She told her. It had been along time since they were together in person. They hadn't seen each other since Lorelai's 17th birthday. That had been over a year and a half ago. Lorelai had invited her a few times and had even tried to arrange to go visit her in Florida, but Rebecca always seemed really busy.

Lorelai had to practically beg her to come for Thanksgiving.

"Your knee must be back to pretty close to perfect for you to be driving?" Rebecca pointed out

"Yeah. I'm back to work on Monday with some minor restrictions." She told her. They hadn't talked much in the last couple months either

"That's great." Rebecca told her as she looked out the window.

"Yup. But the time off was good too. I got to finish my masters and it gave me time to really come to terms with a lot of things." Lorelai told her noticing her friend seemed a bit off. "You okay?" Lorelai asked her.

Rebecca looked back at her and smiled. "Yes. Just tired."

Lorelai nodded. "How are things with Theo?" She asked.

"We broke up." Rebecca told her.

"What? When?" Lorelai questioned. The last time she talked to her she and Theo were great.

"A few days ago." Rebecca told her

"Oh. Shit. Sorry." Lorelai told her

"It's okay. We obviously weren't meant to be." Rebecca said

Lorelai nodded. "You'll find your person at the perfect time."

Rebecca nodded. "But how are you and Spencer?" Rebecca asked

"Were good. He's looking forward to seeing you again. Everyone is." She told her

Rebecca smiled. "I am really happy that you got the forever family you deserve." She told her. She was a little jealous of Lorelai's 'perfect' life.

Lorelai smiled. "You are a part of that family. You are my sister. And in a backwards way kind of way my cousin since you and Rachel are bio cousins, and she is my legal sister." She said

Rebecca nodded, "Yeah. That's crazy. I mean it's a small town its not shocking but still that we didn't know."

Lorelai nodded. "Your lucky that you have biological family who are not completely fucked in the head." She said

"Oop. There is a story there I take it?" Rebecca asked

"Well, you know about everything that happened at the tear down. But somehow my bio-father found out my email. He keeps emailing me saying he wants to see me and get to know me and bla, bla, bla." Lorelai told her

"Didn't you tell them both you didn't ever want to see or talk to them again?" Rebecca asked

"I did. But apparently in his drug filled mind either he forgot or doesn't think I meant it or doesn't care." Lorelai said

"Does your dad know?" Rebecca asked

"Nope. I haven't been threatened and I don't feel unsafe or anything its just emails. I read the first one, responded reminding him he is not my dad, and I don't want anything to do with him. But I have just deleted the others that have come after. Telling my dad will just complicate things." Lorelai said

"Doesn't he always find out these things?" Rebecca asked

"Nope. Not anymore. A lot of things yes but I have figured out that I don't need to feel guilty for keeping some things private and so I must not give off my tell when I don't feel guilty about it." She told Rebecca

"Okay well I wish you luck with that." Rebecca said with a chuckle as they pulled into the driveway

The two women went inside. The house smelt of cinnamon and apples.

"Rachel is baking." Lorelai said with a smile

Rebecca smiled back

Lorelai took Rebecca's bag to her room.

Rebecca was hugged by Rachel and her leg tackled by Jack.

Aaron smiled. "Hello Rebecca. Welcome." He said

"Hello. Thank you for the invite." Rebecca said

"Of course. You are always welcome here." He said "Jack. Get off her leg."

Jack grinned but did what he was told.

"Smells amazing Rachel." Rebecca told her

"Thanks. Apple, pumpkin and pecan pie." Rachel told her

"Pecan my favorite." Rebecca said

Rachel smiled. "I remembered that."

Rebecca smiled

Lorelai came into the kitchen. "Are you hungry at all Becca. We have some dinner left over if you are." She had come in later in the evening.

"No, I ate on the plane. I'm good." She said

Aaron took Jack off to get ready for bed and leave the three girls to talk. The all sat down at the table in the kitchen. Lorelai made them all hot chocolate and they sat and talked. Rachel got up a couple times to check on the pies and take them out of the oven when they were done. After a couple hours Rebecca was struggling to stay awake.

"You ready for bed Becca?" Lorelai asked

Rebecca chuckled. "Yes. Long day. I'm okay to take a shower?" She asked

"Of course, you don't have to ask. You can use the shower in my room. You know where the towels are." Lorelai told her

Rebecca went off to shower.

"She okay?" Rachel asked

"Yup. Just tired I think." Lorelai told her. "Should you head to bed too?" Lorelai asked her

Rachel smiled. "I'm going. I'm going." She said and went off to her own room.

Lorelai made sure the pies were covered before heading up and getting ready for bed as well.

Lorelai was up at 7am to put the turkey in the oven. She had her coffee before she started. She had prepped the turkey the day before and it just needed to cook. Once it was in the oven she started prepping the sides. She was serving mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, corn, gravy, homemade rolls and of course the pies that Rachel had made.

Rachel was up around 8 and started to help Lorelai wherever she asked.

Rebecca was up around the same time, and she helped out too. Lorelai liked the help she gave them both things to do.

Aaron came down around 9:30

"Good morning." He said to them all

"Good morning." They all replied in unison.

Aaron smiled and grabbed his coffee. "Is there going to be anything left for me to help with?" He asked

"Nope. Early bird gets the worm." Lorelai told him with a smirk. Truth was the prep work was pretty much done. They had to cook a lot of food still, but it was just putting them in the oven or on the stove and letting them cook.

When Jack was up all five of them sat and ate breakfast. It was just a quick breakfast. Cereal and fruit. After the ate Aaron put all the dishes in the dishwasher.

The three ladies went and got themselves ready.

Lorelai was out first and when Rachel came out with dark lipstick Lorelai raised an eyebrow.

"Never seen that color on you. Where did you get that lipstick?" She asked

Aaron looked up. He didn't like the dark lipstick on his 13-year-old.

"Um. I bought it at the store the other day do you like it?" Rachel asked

Lorelai took a breathe. "It's a bit dark. "

Rachel looked up at dad.

Aaron didn't want to crush her spirits. "It's a nice color but to dark for you go take if off please."

Rachel sulked and went off.

Rebecca came in at the end of the conversation. She chuckled. "Thirteen-year-olds and make-up. Its almost always too intense."

Lorelai nodded. "And you don't want to make them think they don't look pretty. Not that anyone needs makeup to be beautiful but…"

"I get what you mean." Rebecca said

"You're the one who convinced me to let her wear it. You told me you would help her know what's appropriate." Aaron told her

"I took her to the store and bought her appropriate stuff. I cant control her buying more when I'm not there." Lorelai pointed out

"Fair enough who was she with at the store?" He asked

"Didn't she go to the mall with Kara the other day?" Lorelai asked

Aaron nodded.

Rachel came back down with a much lighter lipstick on.

"That looks much better with your skin tone." Lorelai told her with a smile

"You wear dark lipstick and so does Becca." Rachel pointed out

"Yes but our skin tones are different, and we are older." Lorelai said

"And that color would not look good on me either." Rebecca told her

"When you are older I will help you figure out what dark colors will suit you." Lorelai told her

The conversation ended and Aaron told Jack to go get ready and went to get ready himself.

Lorelai started some more of the food cooking.

Everyone started showing up around 1. The meal was being served around 2. Everyone came in and sat down in the family room. The game was on the TV on mute. The kids were all running around playing. Everyone was laughing and having a good time.

There was a knock on the door. Everyone looked around.

"Who isn't here?" Penny asked

Lorelai got up and went to open it. Standing in her front door was her biological father.

"Hey baby girl." He said

"What. The hell. Are you doing here? And how the hell did you find out where I live?" She asked angrily

"You're my daughter. Why wouldn't I be here?" He said. "I came to take you out for Thanksgiving. You should spend Thanksgiving with your family." He said

"I am. And it doesn't include you." She said as she tried to shut the door on him.

He put a foot in the door. "HOW DARE YOU TALK TO ME LIKE THAT. I AM YOUR FATHER AND YOU WILL RESPECT ME." He screamed so loud it echoed though the whole house.

That got everyone's attention and Aaron ran to the door, Spencer close behind. Penny and Emily kept the kids in the family room away from the door.

Lorelai took a deep breathe. "-You are not my father. -You are a sperm donor. Who was to high on drugs to give a shit about me. So, you don't get to come back when my life is finally in a place where I am happy, healthy and I have a family who gives a shit about me. I told you all this in Idaho and when you emailed me."

Spencer stepped in front of her. "You heard her. She doesn't want to see you. You are -nothing to her. You -will leave and -never come back. If you continue to harass her or show up uninvited I -will personally make your life a nightmare."

Everyone who was witnessing Spencer right now was stunned. They had never seen him quite so intimidating before.

The man left. Spencer closed the door and locked it turning to Lorelai. "How long has he been emailing you?" He asked. He was pissed

"Spence…I." She started

"How long Lorelai?" He asked again

"Three months." She said looking down.

"When we were hanging out two months ago and you got a buzz to your phone, and you rolled you eyes and said it was just a spam email. Was it really a spam email?" He asked

Lorelai didn't look up. "No…"

Spencer walked away. He was really hurt. He went out the back door onto the back deck and looked out at the falling snow.

Lorelai stood there tears falling. Aaron went over and gave her a hug. Spencer had already scolded her enough for the both of them. "It will be okay. He will calm down." Aaron told his daughter

Derek went out after Spencer a few minutes later. "I know you're pissed. Rightfully. But she didn't lie to you to hurt you." He told the younger man.

"I know that Derek. But she still lied to me. And I am guessing told no one. That man is a known drug addict. Drugs make people do stupid things and she could have been seriously hurt." Spencer said

"Yes. But remember where she came from. What she has been through." He said

"Yeah I get that. But that doesn't explain the lying." He said

"Sometimes we lie to the people we love. To protect them." Derek told him

"But she is the one who needs protection." Spencer said

"Does she? She was handling it pretty well." Derek said

"He wasn't leaving till I stepped in there." Spencer told him

"Yeah. And that was quite impressive. You obviously love her. So go in there and make sure she is okay. Because yes she should have told you, but she is still a person and that was probably pretty scary for her." Derek pointed out

Spencer let out a breathe. He went inside and looked around.

"She went upstairs." Penny told him

Spencer went up and knocked on her door.

"I'll be down in a minute." She said

"Its me Lor. Can I come in?" Spencer asked

"Yeah." She said

Spencer went in. "Are you okay?" He asked

Lorelai shook her head. "Spence I'm sorry."

"Why did you lie to me?" He asked

"Because I just wanted to forget about it. If I told you or anyone it would become a thing. I figured if I just ignored him he would eventually stop emailing me and I could just forget about it. I didn't think he would show up here or that he knew where he was." She said

Spencer nodded. "I get that. But you flat out lied to me. I asked you who the email was from."

"I know. I didn't lie to you to hurt you or because I don't trust you. I did it because we had just had sex for the first time, and it was perfect, and I didn't want to ruin it." She said tears steaming down her face.

Spencer nodded and went over to her and hugged her tight. "Do you have the emails still?" He asked

"No. I just delete them." She said

"Okay. Its forgiven. Please just tell me the truth. I understand in that moment you didn't want to ruin the moment, but you could have told me before. Or after." He said

Lorelai nodded.

He kissed her softly and wiped away the tears. "You ready to come back down?" He asked

"How pissed is everyone?" She asked

"I don't know." He told her. "But its Thanksgiving. And you are not hiding away from your family." He told her

Lorelai nodded. She touched up her make-up before they both went downstairs. She put the finishing touches on the meal and told everyone it was ready. They all came and sat at the table and ate. They didn't ask her about it, and no one treated her any different. They just ate and enjoyed each others company.

After they ate to the point of food coma state they just sat around. The TV was turned up a bit so they could hear the game. After awhile Lorelai got up to start cleaning up. Penny and Emily joined her to help.

"Are you okay?" Penny asked

"Yeah. I'm fine." She smiled

"You sure?" Emily asked.

"Yeah. You two annoyed with me?" Lorelai asked

"Well, why didn't you tell anyone?" Emily asked

"I am just so tired of the drama and just figured if I ignored the emails he would leave me alone." She said

Penny nodded. "I get that. You are too cute to stay annoyed at anyways." She said giving her a bit of a hug

Lorelai looked at Emily. She knew their friendship was a little on the rocks lately.

"No. I get it." Emily said with a smile.

They finished. They had split the food into containers for everyone to take some home and Lorelai gave them the containers as they started to leave.

"You young lady need to stop lying." David said to her as he was getting his coat on.

"The only person I actually lied to was Spencer. And I know you are going to say it was a lie by omission but if we follow that logic I would have to tell you everything I do, everyday. All the emails I get and on and on. If I had known this would happen I would have said something. I am just so tired of the drama, and I figured that if I just ignored him it would go away." Lorelai told him

David smiled. The women was right. "Okay. Fair enough." He gave her a hug before heading out.

Spencer was the last one to leave. He looked at her. "What would you like to do about this?" He asked

"As much as I just want to pretend he got the message and will stop I'm not sure that will be the case. I guess maybe a restraining order. So, if he does show up again at least something can be done." Lorelai told the man

Spencer nodded. "I think that's the right decision." He gave her a kiss. "I will get that done for you if you want." He told her

Lorelai nodded. "Sounds good."

The two of them kissed again before Spencer left.
