They continued to work the case. After following all the leads Lorelai and Morgan were in the car driving back to the police station and she got a text message.

'You want the officers back unharmed you will do exactly as I say. And that starts with telling no one I am texting you' the message said

Lorelai took a breathe.

"Morgan. Pull over please." She said

Derek made a face but did so. When the car was pulled over Lorelai showed him the text

Derek nodded "Go along with it. For now." He said

Lorelai texted back 'Okay. What do you want me to do?'

'Start with getting away from everyone and getting to the coffee shop at the end of the street' the text said

"They want me to get away from the team and head to the coffee shop at the end of the street." Lorelai told him.

Derek nodded. They got to the station and went to the conference room where everyone was waiting. Morgan closed the door.

"We have a situation." Morgan said

Everyone looked at him,

"You can explain Agent Hotchner." He said

Lorelai explained about the texts and what she is supposed to do.

"Were not letting her do this are we?" Reid asked

"Agent Reid what is your issue with her doing her job?" Morgan asked

Reid let out a breathe. "Nothing." He said. Truth was he was worried. She had a bad habit of ending up in bad situations.

Lorelai saw the look on Spencer's face, and it hurt her heart a little. But she needed to do her job.

Lorelai was handed a bug that she put in her ear. And a headband that had a camera in it so they could see what she saw.

"You go to the coffee shop but no where else. Okay?" Morgan asked

"What if I get a text when I'm there to meet somewhere else?" Lorelai asked

"Tell them no that you will meet them at the coffee shop." Morgan told her

"Morgan come on. You know that's not going to work." Lorelai said

"Agent Hotchner Jr do as you are told." Morgan said

Lorelai sighed. "Yes sir."

When she was ready she went to the coffee shop and sat down before sending a text. 'I am here when should I be expecting you?'

The rest of the team was nearby to be available if something went wrong.

'Not meeting you there. There is a taxi waiting outside. Get in it will take you where we will meet.' Was the next text she received

'Not happening. I'm not stupid. You want to meet me it will be here or somewhere else public.' She texted

'Oh, the place you are going is public.' He said

'Well tell me where it is at least.' She responded

'No. You need to learn to do what your told. Unless you want me to murder the officers.' He said

'How do I know they are even still alive?' she asked

A few minutes later she received a video of them showing they were alive.

Lorelai went outside and watched the video before she took a breathe and looked around. She saw the taxi waiting.

The team were watching the camera image on computers in the vehicles and were seeing everything.

"Agent Hotchner don't do anything stupid." She heard Morgan warn in her earpiece.

She sent a text. 'Just tell me where the taxi is taking me, and I will get in.'

'If you are not in that taxi in one minute I start killing.' The text said

Lorelai took a breathe and went over to the taxi.

"Lorelai! Don't you dare get into that taxi." Morgan spoke into the microphone

She ignored him and got in. The taxi started to drive.

"Where are you taking me?" She asked the driver.

The driver said nothing.

Lorelai shook her head.

Meanwhile Morgan sent Rossi and Prentiss to try and catch up with and follow the taxi.

The taxi took a lot of turns and ended up at an abandoned hospital in the middle of nowhere.

"This is public?" She said to the driver.

"Get out." The driver said

"Geeze. Fine." Lorelai got out

"I'm here." She called out. "Now be a man and show yourself." She added

Out came two people. Two men whom she recognized well. "Wow. You know I should never have doubted myself. I knew you two were involved." She said

"You always were too smart for your own good." Mr. Dillon said

Lorelai shook her head and looked at the other man.

"You knew what would happen to me in that home, but you didn't care did you?" she said to the other man. Her biological father

He laughed. "Why would I care about a useless girl like you. Your mother and I, we wanted a son. Not a daughter."

Lorelai took a breathe.

"Don't you listen to him. Lorelai you are stronger than that." A voice said into her earpiece. "We are not far away. Just keep them talking." The voice said. She realized at that point it was Rossi.

"Where are the officers?" Lorelai asked

"Ha. You actually think you are getting them out of here? They were just a means to get to you." Mr. Dillion told her

Lorelai nodded. "So, I walked right into your trap than." She said

"Pretty stupid for someone who has all that education." Mr. Davies said to her

"We are almost there Lorelai." Rossi told her

"So, you two pulled all this off on your own?" She asked them

"Where do you think you got the intelligence from? Its just dumbed down but your mothers DNA." Davies told her

"Really. Where did you go to university? What are your degrees? Do you even have a highschool diploma?" She asked

"You don't need an education to be smart." He told her

"No. Your right. But you're claiming to be smarter than me. I have the degrees you don't, so I think that makes me smarter than you." She said with a smirk

"You stupid bitch." He said as he started over to her.

Lorelai pulled her gun off her hip and pointed at him.

He laughed, "You going to shoot your daddy."

"Your not my dad. You never were." She said. "So, I have no problem shooting you."

"So, you actually are going to go to your grave saying I am not your dad." He said as he continued towards her

"Yes I would. But I'm not the one dying today. I cant deny biological you are my father. Just like I cant deny the police captain in this town is my biological uncle. And unlike you he will get the chance to know me because he seems like a good person. But you are NOT my dad. A dad is someone who is there for you. Who takes care of you. Who wants you. Who loves you. None of those things are you." She said she pointed the gun at his knee and shot him.

He yelped and fell to the ground.

Mr. Dillon pulled out his gun and shot towards Lorelai. Lorelai got hit in the left shoulder. Before her adrenaline could die out she shot back shooting him in the chest.

Dillon fell to the ground and didn't move. She looked over to the other man who was trying to get up and was pointing a gun at her.

Lorelai pointed her gun back at him. "Drop your gun or I will do to you what I just did to him. Your buddy is dead" She said her voice shaky as she was starting to feel the pain in her shoulder.

Rossi and Prentiss finally pulled up to them and jumped out. Her father shot towards the car when he saw it and Lorelai knew she didn't have any choices. She shot at the man whom she shared DNA with. Hitting him in the chest as well causing him to drop his gun and fall.

Thankfully his shots missed Rossi and Prentiss. They both went and checked the two men on the ground they both were dead. It wasn't long before the rest of the team showed up. Morgan went and took the gun from Lorelai who had fallen to the ground at that point from the pain in her shoulder. He started to put pressure on the wound.

"You do not get to die Lorelai. You have to answer for your stupid choices today, so you don't get to die." He told her

Lorelai let out a soft chuckle. "You want me to live so you can kill me yourself?" She mumbled as she started to pass out.

"NO! You stay awake. That is an order Agent Hotchner." Morgan said

Lorelai nodded. "I'll try Sir. I'm sorry I disobeyed you." She mumbled

"Oh, you will be sorry." He said with a smile

She chuckled a bit and cringed at the pain.

The ambulance showed up shortly and Lorelai was lifted on a stretcher. "JJ. Go with her." Morgan said

JJ got into the ambulance as Lorelai was being lifted into it.

"Agent Hotchner. You do as you are told. You don't argue with anyone. Got it?" Morgan said

"Yes Sir." She mumbled as she fell into unconsciousness.

The ambulance doors were closed, and she was rushed away.

"She shot and killed both of them." Prentiss told Morgan as the rest of the team had run inside and found the officers. They were all weak and bruised and broken but they were alive. They were brought out into several waiting ambulances.

"She's well trained." Morgan said

"I could never imagine shooting my own father though." Prentiss said

"He had a gun to her. She didn't have a choice." Rossi pointed out after all the officers had left in the ambulances.

"And he was never really a father to her." Reid said, "And you heard what he was saying to her." He added

"Oh, I did." Morgan said.

"It was a good shoot." Rossi said

Morgan nodded. "And all our reports better say that." He said.

They all agreed. They weren't there and they heard and saw what was happening. She was alone. She had done what she needed to in order to protect herself and than her team when they came in.

They did a sweep of the house and collected the evidence they needed. Morgan took a breathe and called Hotch Sr. Morgan told him what had happened.

"She disobeyed a direct order. It's a good thing she was taken off probation just a couple months ago isn't it?" Hotch told the younger man

"Hotch I'm sorry." He said

"Its on her for disobeying you." Hotch told Morgan

"Yes. Which she seems to do every time I'm lead." He said

"Morgan she's stubborn and I think she knew in her gut with the information Penny had found that this was connected to those two. She tends to ignore everyone when it comes to her past. Not that, that is a good excuse. You can handle it. And I will deal with her when she is home as well." Hotch told him

"Got it. JJ is with her at the hospital. I will tell her to keep you updated." Morgan said

"Thanks Morgan I will call her myself though." He said

"Okay." Morgan told him before they hung up. Everyone was send off on assignments to finish up this case.

At the hospital Lorelai was taken into surgery right away. JJ sat in the waiting room. When her phone rang she looked at it before answering. "Hotch. She has been taken into surgery to repair the damage to her shoulder and remove the bullet." JJ said she figured he knew

"Okay. Thank you JJ. If she gives anyone any trouble you remind her that she is in already in enough trouble with Morgan and me and she doesn't want to add to that." Hotch told her

"Don't worry she will do as she is told." JJ said

"You're alright?" Hotch asked

"Yes. I'm fine." JJ assured him

"Okay good. Keep me updated." Hotch said before he hung up. He wanted to be there. He wanted to go to his eldest daughter. He called Rebecca and asked her to come stay with the kids and when she got there he left, and he went to North Carolina. His daughter needed him, and his other kids would be okay at home with Rebecca till he got back.
