Authors note: This chapter takes place season 7 episode 16. I do not own criminal minds, but I do borrow some stuff from it. There is a direct scene from the show in this chapter with some small adjustments.

It was the next Friday and they had rescheduled their girls night for that evening. They decided to head to a bar instead. It was a bar that didn't check Id's at the door only when you ordered a drink, so Lorelai and Rebecca were able to get in.
It was a good night. Lorelai and Rebecca were amused just watching the other women get more and more drunk through out the night.
"So how are you?" Becca asked Lorelai
"I'm okay. Still just taking it one day at a time. Its hard. I miss him but maybe this is for the best." Lorelai told her friend. "What about you? Any guys in your view?"
"Guy I told you about from that bar. Name is Teddy. He's been asking me out. But I'm not sure…" Becca said
"Why not?" Lorelai asked
"Hesitant." Becca said
"If you want I can run a background check?" Lorelai offered
"No. I want to get to know him from him." Becca said
"Well, that's only going to happen if you take him up on his offer." Lorelai pointed out
"More shots!" Penny exclaimed.
Lorelai laughed. "I guess we have become the designated drivers."
Becca chuckled. "They owe us when we are of age to drink."
Lorelai laughed again and nodded.
The three older women continued to drink and when the sun started to come up Lorelai and Rebecca drove everyone home before heading home themselves.
They were all up and ready to go to watch Aaron compete in the triathlon a few hours later
At the races the crowd was cheering. Penny, Emily, and JJ were clearly hungover
"A couple of hours a couple of hours. You guys didn't come home until sunrise" Spencer exclaimed clearly annoyed.
"Why are you yelling?" JJ asked her voice clearly indicating her lack of enthusiasm at the situation
"Make him stop" Emily said
"Okay Hey Jack, Jack earmuffs for a minute, Earmuffs" Derek told the young boy on his shoulder.
Jack obliged covering his ears with his hands to block out the conversation.
"What did you guys drink last night?" Morgan asked the women
"The green Fairy" Penny told him. "Your in the FBI could you get the entire crowd to stop cheering?" She asked her voice almost a whine.
Lorelai and Rebecca just chuckled
"You two didn't drink did you?" Derek asked
"No." they both said. "We just enjoyed watching them get drunk." Lorelai said
"You couldn't have stopped them?" Spencer asked
"Not our place to try." Becca said
"By my estimate Hotch should be finishing any minute now." Spencer told the group changing the subject.
"Do you see him Uncle Dave?" Jack asked his ears uncovered at this point
"I think I do, Kiddo." Dave told the young boy "Right there! There he is." He told the boy pointing to Aaron running towards the finish line.
The cheering got louder.
Aaron smiled when he saw his family waiting at the finish line giving him that extra energy he needed to make it across. Once he made it across Aaron was handed a bottle of water from a table that was being run by a volunteer.
They team all made there way over. Derek took Jack off his shoulder and told him to go get his dad. Rachel and Lorelai followed as well.
Jack ran to his dad and said. "You did it!"
"I did it buddy. I did. Can you believe it?" Aaron asked his son
"Did you see my sign?" Jack asked
"I did. That's for you buddy." Aaron said as he put the medal he had just received on his sons neck. "Your sign is fantastic."
"Look at you. How do you feel?" Dave asked his friend?
"I think I am going to live." Aaron said before he took a sip from his water
"Pretty impressive. I had money on the swim killing you." Emily told Aaron
"I practiced." Aaron told her
"Yeah he practiced a lot." Lorelai said
"And it paid off. Good job." Derek told him
"Thank you." Aaron said
"Hey, do you guys want to get something to eat?" Spencer asked
"Yes something greasy please." JJ said
"Oh yeah…" Emily started to say
"Hotchner." The group heard from a women in the crowd.
They all looked over. Aaron smiled at Beth and led his three children over
"Jack, Lorelai, Rachel. There is someone I want you to meet." Aaron said
"You were amazing congratulations." Beth told Aaron as they hugged
"Thanks." Aaron told her "Beth I'd like you meet my kids. Jack, Rachel, and Lorelai. This is my friend Beth." Aaron told them
They all said hello. "Its nice to meet you all." Beth told them
"Nice to meet you too." Lorelai said
The group came and joined them and were introduced. They talked a bit.
The group all went to get pizza and have conversation.
