Authors note: So, this chapter is a after a time skip. It starts after the events in season eight episode 12, Zugzwang. Everything with Reid and Maeve has happened and he has started to heal. Alex Blake has replaced Emily who has gone to work for Interpol. Hotch Jr. is back in the field and has not been in any trouble since than. Lorelai has gone on a few date with the guy from the hospital.

Lorelai was getting ready for her date. She had been being cautious with this guy because she had felt like something was off with him. But he had been kind and understanding about her job and having to cancel dates a lot and seemed like a good guy, so she had been seeing him still.

She went out to the kitchen where her dad was making dinner for the others. "I'm leaving for my date. Should be back by midnight." She told him

Aaron nodded. "Okay. Have fun." He told her with a smile

Lorelai left and drove to the burger place herself. It was easier to just meet up with him there.

Lorelai's date was going well. They had gotten burgers and talked into the early evening.

Wren had paid the check.

"Do you want to go for a drive?" He asked

Lorelai smiled. "Where to?"

"There is this private beach. We can go for a walk and just talk." He told her

Lorelai smiled. "That sounds great."

The two of them went and he started to drive.

"Where is this place?" Lorelai asked

"Not far." He said his voice sounding a little annoyed.

She took a breath she was started to feel uneasy. "Something wrong?" she asked

He looked at her and smiled. "Nope."

Lorelai nodded. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up and she could feel in her gut that something wasn't right. She took out her phone and made sure her location was on.

"Someone messaging you?" He asked his voice sounding annoyed again

"Yeah. My best friend. She just asking how its going. But I'll put it away. I'll message her later." Lorelai said putting her phone away

He nodded and pulled up to a small parking lot.

He got out and went around and opened her door. Lorelai got out and they went for the walk. After they were walking for a bit. He gently took her face and kissed her.

Lorelai kissed him back.

"Want to sit?" He asked

Lorelai smiled and nodded.

They both sat down, and before long Wren was trying to push her to go further than she wanted to.

"No. We are not having sex. Stop." She said firmly

"I have been very understanding about the canceled dates. I have been nothing but nice. Paid for every date. What more do you want?" He asked anger clear in his voice

Lorelai pushed him away and got up and started to walk away from him. "I offered to pay for some dates. And you knew my job coming into this so don't you dare throw that back in my face now! I don't have sex that easily." She said loudly

He got up and went over to her and grabbed her and threw her down onto the sand. "Well, that's to bad. You owe me."

Lorelai yelped. The sand wasn't as soft when you were being thrown onto it hard.

"No! You will not be doing this to me!" She said as she sat up and tried to get it. But Wren just pushed her back down. She yelped again "Wren come on! You know who I am. You know you wont get away with it." She told him

"Your word against mine." He said

"And I am a federal agent. They will trust me over you!" She said

"Not with the story I have they wont." He said with a smirk

"Oh, and what is that story?" She asked.

He laughed and turned his back to her.

She quickly reached into her pocket and pressed a number on her phone. Her phone was set up that each number was a speed dial for a different member of the team. She had no idea which number she had pushed but she knew this was her only chance.

"Seriously Wren, what is the story?" She asked

Derek had convinced Spencer after the most recent case to go get a beer. He knew he was still hurting after losing Maeve. They were about to leave the bar when Derek's phone rang. He looked at it and saw it was Lorelai. He answered. "Lorelai aren't you on a date?" He answered she had talked about the date the day before at work.

"Because I think I want to know what exactly you can tell my family that will make them believe that I wanted you to force yourself on me." She said loudly

Derek knew something was very wrong. He could hear her screaming. He took Spencer since he was already with him, and they ran out to Morgan's truck.

Spencer took out his phone and checked the find your friend app and could see where she was. He showed Derek who drove there. Spencer held Derek's phone that was now on speaker. He was so scared for this woman whom despite the breakup and him having moved on with Maeve he still couldn't deny there were feelings.

"I'm not going to rape you." Wren told her. "I'm going to murder you. Wont leave any evidence and when they find your body. I will say I left. I got a call from the hospital that I was needed and someone else took you from the restaurant and brought you here." He said

"Why do you want to murder me?" Lorelai asked. "What did I do? Just because I wont have sex with you?"

"Have the life I should be having." He said

"I'm sorry you want my life? Why? Do you have any idea all the shit I have been through? How many times someone has hurt me? Tried to kill me? How much loss I have experienced. What about my life do you want?" she asked

"Your family!" He said

"I don't understand. Okay yes. I have an amazing family. But why do you think you are owed -my family?" She asked

"My father could have been a member of your team and they would be my family too!" He said

"Okay. Who is your father?" She asked

"You wont know him. Your father will though." He said

"Well why don't we call my father than? We can figure this out?" Lorelai said

"NO!" He said he kicked her in the side.

Lorelai whimpered and curled towards her side.

He kicked her again. And Lorelai yelped loudly

When they got to the parking lot both Spencer and Derek got out and ran down the beach towards the dot on Spencer's phone. Unfortunately, they couldn't hide the fact that they were coming. Wren saw them coming and tried to grab at Lorelai.

Lorelai saw them coming as well and used all the strength in her being and kicked him in the knee. He yelped and fell to the ground.

Morgan quickly ran to the man and tackled him to the ground. "We heard everything you are going to jail. So don't even try to tell us some bullshit story." He told him as he pulled him up from the ground

Spencer went over to Lorelai. "Hey. Its okay. You are going to be okay." He said pushing the hair out of her face.

Lorelai sobbed wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Where are you hurt?" he asked. Given her a hug as well and let her sob into his shoulder.

"My side and back. My ribs I think." She said between sobs

Spencer nodded. "I'm going to pick you up is that okay?" he asked

Lorelai nodded.

Spencer picked her up in both arms. Morgan was already heading back to the parking lot. They could hear the sirens. Spencer had called 911 and the rest of the team when they were on the way there. Lorelai leaned into Spencer and sobbed.

"Hey. You are going to be okay." He said

"Why does this keep happening to me?" She sobbed.

"I don't know Lorelai. I wish I did." Spencer said. He carried her out to the ambulance that had arrived and looked over at Derek. "I'm going with her you going to be okay?"

"Yes Spencer go." Derek said as another car pulled up. Rossi had arrived so Derek wasn't on his own with the dirtbag of a man.

Spencer got into the ambulance and off it went.

"I'm okay. I don't need to go to the hospital." She said she was fighting the IV.

"Lorelai Hotchner do not argue with the paramedics." Spencer told her

Lorelai looked up at him. It wasn't often he full named her. She gave him sad eyes

He leaned in and whispered in her ear. "Don't make it so I have to handle you later." He said his voice left no room for her to doubt his seriousness.

He had never been quite so intimidating to her before. Sure, she had seen him intimidate suspects and other before but never had it been directed towards her. He had never threated to deal with her before. He was usually a marshmallow when it came to her.

Lorelai took a breathe and put her arm out for the IV.

The paramedic put it in and looked at her. "Where is the pain?" She asked

Lorelai looked down intending to lie but Spencer cleared his throat making sure she knew not to.

She looked back up at the paramedics. "My back and side. Maybe my ribs."

"Scale of 1-10?" She was asked

"6." She said

"We are going to give you some pain killers. You allergic to any medications?" She was asked

Lorelai shook her head.

The paramedic gave her some in her IV.

When they got to the hospital she was brought in, and Aaron was already there waiting. She was taken straight to x-ray and Spencer and Aaron were told to wait in the waiting room for someone to come get them.

They both sat down.

"Did you get the guy?" Aaron asked

"Yes. Morgan got him. Rossi showed up as I was leaving to help him." Spencer said his voice evident of how upset he was.

"What is it?" Aaron asked

"Why do these things keep happening to her. She was on a date. A date. And it ends like this?" Spencer asked.

"We cant control what others do." Aaron told the younger man

"Yes. But it seems like she ends up in these bad situations no matter what she does. Following the rules or not. Working in the field or not. Going on a date." Spencer said

"I know. Its not right or fair." Aaron said

"If I hadn't broken up with her…" Spencer said

"Don't you dare blame yourself Spencer." Aaron said "You both moved on. That is a normal part of life and relationships. Sometimes they just don't work out. Do you blame Lorelai for what happened with Maeve?"

Spencer shook his head. "Of course not."

"So?" Aaron asked

"I get your point." Spencer said

"She co-operated with the paramedics?" Aaron asked

Spencer chuckled and shook his head. "Not till I…. Made sure she knew to." He said

Aaron nodded. "What did you say?"

"Threatened to handle her if she didn't co-operate." Spencer

"Ah." Aaron said

"I don't know if I would actually have the heart to do it though." Spencer told him

Aaron shrugged. "Its not an easy thing to do no. But sometimes there is no other option." Aaron told him.

Spencer nodded.

Not long after the conversation ended a nurse came and got them and led them to Lorelai's room.

They went and she was laying on the bed.

"You okay?" Aaron asked

Lorelai nodded. "Pain killers are working."

"Did he say why he was doing it?" Aaron asked

Lorelai looked at Spencer.

"I heard yes…" Spencer said

Aaron looked confused. "What?"

"Something to do with his father and the FBI. And when I asked who his father was he told me that I wouldn't know who he was." Lorelai told him

"Than why do this to you?" Aaron asked

"To get under the skin of someone who might…" Lorelai said

"Who? I don't…. Me?" Aaron asked

Lorelai didn't say anything

"Was he trying to get back at me?" Aaron asked. When Lorelai didn't answer he looked to Spencer

"What I heard was something about if his father had been allowed in the FBI than he would have the family she has." Spencer told him

"What's this guys last name?" Aaron asked

"I don't know." Spencer said

Aaron looked at his daughter.

Lorelai sighed "Wren Jurgens is his name."

The doctor came in. It was the doctor she had seen several times last year "Hello. Haven't seen you in awhile Agent Hotchner."

Lorelai snort laughed. "Trust me. I wish I could have continued that streak. And please Lorelai."

"How bad is it?" Spencer asked

"She got lucky. Her ribs are just bruised. Will give you something for the swelling and for the pain if you would like." The doctor said

"Honestly. Its not that bad. I mean it hurts but not that much. I think I'll be fine with over-the-counter pain killers. But yes the ones for the swelling I'll take." She said

The doctor wrote up the two prescriptions. "You'll have the other one just in case you change your mind." He told her as he handed them to her.

"Okay. Thank you Doctor." She said

The doctor smiled and nodded

"If the pain doesn't going away when the prescription is up you need to come back." He told her

"Yes doctor I will. Thank you." Lorelai said

A nurse came in to help with the discharge and the three of them left.

Aaron drove them out to Spencer's car.

"I can drive her to get her prescriptions and home. I want to talk to Lorelai. If you're up for it?" Spencer said

Lorelai nodded. "Sure."

Aaron nodded. "We can get your car tomorrow." He told her

Lorelai nodded and she and Spencer went to his car. Spencer opened the door for her.

Lorelai got in and let out a breathe.
