They both got into his car and started the drive home. Lorelai's stomach growled.

"When was the last time you ate?" Spencer asked

Lorelai sighed. "Been about 18 hours." She said looking at her watch

"What do you want to eat?" Spencer asked. "And I don't want to hear your not hungry."

"I wasn't going to say that." She said

"Okay. I'm sorry. But answer my other question." He said

"I don't know what I want." Lorelai said

"Chicken salad?" He asked

Lorelai shook her head.

"Chinese?" Spencer asked

"No." Lorelai said

"Pizza? Burgers?" Spencer asked

She shrugged.

"Lor, you have to eat something." He said

"I know. I just don't know what I want. I'm not arguing with eating. Just get me whatever. I'll eat it." She said

"Pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms & sundried tomatoes. It is than." He said

Lorelai smiled. "That does sound good."

Spencer drove to a favorite pizza place and got them pizza. He texted Aaron asking if he should get pizza for all of them. He put the boxes on the back seat before getting in and starting for Lorelai's place.

"Take it its for the others too?" She said

Spencer nodded. "Texted your dad and asked."

Lorelai nodded. "Did you tell him what she told me?"

Spencer nodded. "Yup. He asked if I knew how it went. I told him not well and he asked me to tell him what I knew. Sorry."

"Its okay. I would have told him anyways." She said

"You handled it well I hear though. You didn't freak out. According to the security detail that was there." He said

"Who called to check up on me?" Lorelai asked

"One of the Agents. Who is a part of her security detail. I worked with him when I was part of the FBI before the BAU." Spencer said. "He requested a transfer after a particularly hard case. He overheard you talking about you and me being involved. When he saw you leave upset and after hearing everything. He called me. Wanted to make sure you were okay."

Lorelai nodded. "Cant go anywhere without people having my back." She said with a smile.

"Nope." He said with a chuckle

"And I'm happy about that." Lorelai said. "I just wish people didn't know my entire life story."

"Yeah. Well, when the news dropped your name and your story." He said

"Without my permission." She said

"And that is being dealt with." He said

"I know. Doesn't take back that everyone and their mom know my story. Including your own mother." She said

"What?" He asked

"I guess she saw the news report. She called me the other day. Started asking me about it." She said

"Lorelai. Why didn't you tell me?" He asked

Lorelai sighed. "I just didn't want you to worry…"

"Not a choice you get to make when it comes to my mother." He said clearly upset.

"I know. I'm sorry. I crossed the line… wont happen again." She said

He nodded. "What did she say?" He asked

"She asked me if it was true. I told her I didn't feel comfortable talking about that with her. And she said so that's a yes. And than said some other things. I don't remember." She said looking out the window

"Come on. The truth please." He said

"She said she didn't want her son with such a damaged person…" Lorelai said

Spencer sighed. "Lorelai you are so much more than your past. I don't care about that. I love you for you. You are who you are because of your past. And you are an amazing person. I will talk to my mother. Sometimes her medications make her say things that aren't true."

"If you say so." Lorelai said

"Lor. Come on. You were there when she said she was happy I found someone like you." He said

"Yes. But she didn't know my baggage, now she does. All of it." Lorelai said

"We all have baggage. Even her. You were there when we found out what she was involved in years ago. That little boy." Spencer said

"Yes. But your mother has always had a medical condition that explains that behaviour." Lorelai said

"And its not her fault. Just like the things that have happened to you are not your fault." Spencer said pulling into the driveway.

"Okay. Can we just drop this conversation at least for now. I don't need my dad involved." Lorelai said

Spencer nodded "Okay." He grabbed the pizza and they both went inside.

"Were here." Lorelai called out. They went into the kitchen. Spencer set down the pizza just in time for Jack to come running in and hug Spencer. Spencer hugged him.

"Hey Jack." Spencer said

"Ooh. Pizza!" He said after he released the hug.

Jack ran off to go wash his hands.

"Guess I'm chopped liver." Lorelai said with a chuckle

Spencer smiled and pulled her into a hug. "Nope. He's just an eight-year-old boy."

Lorelai smiled and hugged him. "I know. I'm not taking it personally."

"Okay good." He said

Aaron came into the kitchen. "Hello." He said and went and hugged his daughter tight.

"Hey dad." Lorelai said hugging him back

Spencer said hello as well.

They all washed their hands and Rachel came in the room as well. She set the table and they all sat down to eat.

"How was your trip?" Rachel asked

"Eye opening." Lorelai said

"Oh?" Rachel said

"Not something I want to talk about." Lorelai said.

"Okay. Fine." Rachel said clearly annoyed.

Lorelai took a breathe and got up and went to the kitchen to get away from the table.

Aaron shot Rachel a look before he got up and went after Lorelai. "You okay?" he asked

"Would you be?" Lorelai asked

"Do you really think she meant when she said about you being like your birth father?" Aaron asked

"No. She was trying to get me to hate her so I will just let her die in peace." Lorelai said. "Doesn't mean it doesn't hurt that she would say that."

Aaron nodded. "But you know its not true."

Lorelai nodded. "I do. Doesn't mean I want to talk about any of it."

"I know." Aaron said. "And you don't have to."

Lorelai nodded. "I know. I just…"

"Overwhelmed?" Aaron asked

"Confused." She said.

Aaron nodded. "Because she would say that?"

"Because she wants to spend the rest of her life alone it seems. Maybe I was a little pushy but not to a point that I would think she would want to push me away." Lorelai said

"Maybe its easier for her to just let go with no connections." He said

"But she has friends. She told me so. And its not like she's old. She's in her 40's" Lorelai said "And she has someone. Someone who loves her. He doesn't know where she is, but he wanted to know. He wanted to see her again. She refuses to. If I had to fake my death and hide for 20 years and I was safe. I would want to see Spencer again. If he would want to see me." She added. "I told Delilah that he wanted to see her, and she just flat out refused." She continued

"And that's her right Lorelai." He said

"I know. And I wont tell him where she is. I respect her right to decided that herself but doesn't mean I understand it." Lorelai said

"You don't have to understand it." He said

Lorelai sighed.

"I know its annoying, but you know everything I'm saying it true." Aaron said

Lorelai nodded. "I know." She went to the fridge and grabbed a couple beers before going back to the table and giving Spencer one. She sat back down to eat. Aaron followed her and sat back down as well. When dinner was done. Everyone helped clean up

Rachel went to Lorelai. "I'm sorry. Its none of my business." She said

Lorelai gave her a hug. "Thanks."

Rachel returned the hug before going off to get to homework. Jack also went off. Lorelai went and flopped on the couch. Spencer sat next to her and put an arm around her. Lorelai leaned her head on his shoulder.

"If you had to disappear for 20 years and were able to come back. Would you want to see me again?" Lorelai asked

Spencer took a breathe. "Yes."

"What if you were dying?" Lorelai asked

"Still yes." Spencer said. "But we don't know what is going though her head. What happened between the two of them. Maybe they weren't happy. Maybe he wasn't good to her. We don't know." He said

Lorelai nodded. "The way she talked about him. I saw the look in her eyes. She is still in love with him."

"Still. You need to leave it alone." Spencer said

"I know. I'm not going to get involved anymore doesn't mean I understand." She said

"Sometimes in life we will never understand. But. You know what I do know?" He asked

"What?" Lorelai asked

"That. You are amazing." He said

Lorelai smiled. "So are you." She said

Spencer nodded.

Rachel came into the living room.

"Hey Rach. What's up?" Lorelai asked

"How do you know when your in love? Rachel asked

Lorelai smiled. "All the love songs make sense."

Rachel sighed.

Lorelai looked at her sister. "Is that not the answer you wanted to hear?"

"The friend. I have been…" Rachel started

"Kissing in back corners of the school?" Lorelai asked

"I'm not doing that anymore. But yes her." Rachel said

"You think your in love?" Lorelai asked

"I don't know. She told me she loves me… And I don't know…" Rachel said

"If you have to question it I would say you don't…" Lorelai said

"But I do like her." Rachel said

Lorelai nodded. "Liking someone can lead to loving them but it doesn't always happen. Don't say it unless you mean it. Because if you say it and don't mean it… It ends up hurting the other person way more than just not saying it."

"How long were you to together before you said it?" Rachel asked

"Awhile." Lorelai said

"The first-time you dated or when you picked things back up? Or after you broke up and got back together?" Rachel asked

"The second." Lorelai said. "And I don't know about Spencer, but I meant it."

"I meant it too." Spencer said with a smile

Rachel nodded.

"Its okay to not be in love with everyone you date. That's the point of dating. To find that right person." Spencer said

Rachel nodded again. "But you got lucky. You found each other so young."

"Sure. But there were others before and in between." Lorelai said

"And we have had our issues to work though." Spencer said

"So just enjoy being young. And getting to know lots of people." Lorelai said

Rachel nodded. "I will. Thank you both."

Rachel hugged them both before leaving the room.

Lorelai leaned back and sighed "Oh boy."

Spencer chuckled. "Teenagers and love."

"Well, it wasn't that long ago I was a teenager." Lorelai said

"Technically yes. But you had already lived your teenager years. I don't think you really saw yourself as a teenager." He said

"When my dad made us break up. I did." She said

"You're still angry with him for that?" Spencer asked

"I was never really angry about it. I was abit annoyed, but I understand why." Lorelai said

Spencer nodded and kissed her shoulder.

Lorelai leaned her head forward and started to rub at her neck.

"Need a neck rub?" He asked

"And back." She said.

Spencer stood up. "Come on. Your room. I can give you one." He said

Lorelai smiled and got up and went to her room with him. When they got in the room and the door was closed. Lorelai removed her shirt and laid on her bed on her stomach.

Spencer knelt over her and started to rub her neck and back. He noticed a bruise on her upper arm. "Hey what's this bruise on your arm from?" He asked

"Um. Well." She said

Spencer traced it gently. "It almost looks like a grab mark."

"Can we just pretend you didn't see it?" She asked

Spencer continued to rub. He found several knots. "You have more knots than normal." He said

"Do I?" She asked

"Mhm." He said as he worked at one.

She whimpered a bit. Spencer stopped. "You want me to stop?" He asked

"No. Its okay." She said

Spencer continued. "I know you've had a lot going on. But these knots the bruise on your arm. Seems like maybe there is something else?" he asked

"So, I guess that's a no to ignoring it?" Lorelai asked

"Yup. Now out with it. Who grabbed you that hard?" He asked

Lorelai took a breathe. "Kevin." She said

"Kevin Dillon?" Spencer asked

"Yeah." She said.

"Okay. What happened?" Spencer asked stopping rubbing.

"Hey. That felt good. Please don't stop." She said

He went back to rubbing. "But you need to tell me what happened." He said

"He came into town the other day. I don't know if he was visiting Becca. Or if he was just coming to cause trouble. But he tracked me down as I was leaving the office. Everything seemed okay at first. He was a little drunk, but he didn't seem angry. He said he wanted to talk. So, we went around the corner to the café. Before we could go inside. He grabbed me and pulled me into the alley. Shoved me against the wall and started saying… A lot of nasty things." She said

"What? Well, what did you do?" Spencer asked

"I did what I had to and got him off of me. I told him never to try and contact me again. And if he didn't leave me alone I would press charges." Lorelai said. "I walked away. Went to the hospital as my head had been banged into the wall hard. I didn't have a concussion or any real injuries. Outside of the bruise on my arm. I contacted Will. Made a statement with local law enforcement so if I need to get a restraining order later there is a track record to make it easier." She added

"When did this happen?" Spencer asked

"Three days ago." Lorelai said "With everything going on I just wanted to deal with it without involving the team."

"I get it. I'm not angry. You handled it." Spencer said. "Would you have told me eventually?" He asked

"Yes. And I intend on telling my dad too." She said. "And probably Rebecca. Which means she will tell Derek. Who will tell Penny. Who will tell JJ and so on." She said

Spencer chuckled. "And your dad will tell Rossi."

"Yup. So, within 24 hours everyone will know." She said

Spencer climbed off of Lorelai and laid next to her. Lorelai turned onto her side and faced him.

"You okay?" He asked

"I'm having mixed feelings. He was my first. A lot of things. I wish we could have just stayed friends. But I guess why he hates me." Lorelai said.

Spencer nodded. "Maybe he will get sober again. And he will apologize." He said

Lorelai nodded. "And I will listen to the apology but doesn't mean I have to be friends with him again."

"No. That's true. You don't." Spencer said

"I don't have the capacity to care about people who choose alcohol or drugs over being healthy. I get they are addictions. But he was sober for so long and he threw it all away." Lorelai said

"Its not that easy Lor." He said

"You are sober. You got better. You worked hard for that." She said

"Because I had the support that I needed." He said

"And Kevin had the support. His mother, Becca and he had me too." She said

"You and Becca are not with him all the time. Yes you supported him but its hard when those people aren't there to keep you honest. Yes he has to work at it of course." Spencer said

"You're actually defending him?" Lorelai asked

"I'm not defending that he hurt you no. Drinking or not is no excuse for being violent." Spencer said

Lorelai nodded.

"But addictions. There hard. I still struggle sometimes." He said

She nodded again. "have you used again that I don't know about?"

"No. I came really close when Emily 'died' but I haven't." He said

"I hope you know that if you ever do again that you can come to me. I will help you." She said

"I know." He said

"The difference between you and him is you have never been violent with me. Kevin has. This wasn't the first time I came out with bruises." She said

"I know. I get your hesitance. But don't completely give up on him. He could get better." He said

"And if he wants to make an amends in the future I'll listen. But our friendship is done." Lorelai said.

"Okay." He said. "Do you know if Will or another cop spoke to him?" He asked

"Yes Will did. He told me he put the fear of god in him." She said

Spencer nodded. "Good."

"If he bothers me again. I will involve the police again. Promise." She said

"I believe you." He said. He kissed her forehead.

"You going to spend the night?" She asked

"No. Not tonight. I need to get some stuff done at home." He said

Lorelai nodded and snuggled in.

He smiled. "And no matter how much you cuddle up to me that's not going to change."

She giggled.

Spencer shook his head and shifted abit and sat up.

Lorelai sat up as well and led him to the door.

"Thank you for picking me up. And the food. And the massage." She said

"Of course." He said with a smile.

They kissed before he left.

Lorelai went and got ready for a went to bed. She would talk to the others she needed to talk to tomorrow.
