Lorelai came stumbling into the house at 3am. Aaron was still up waiting for her. He had tried called her several times but never got an answer. When she came stumbling in he went to the door. He could see a taxi driving out of the driveway. He let out a breathe. He could tell she had been drinking. He was glad she hadn't driven but he was worried about her. He grabbed her to keep her from falling

"Come on. Lets get you to bed." He said. He said as he led her up the stairs. Rachel had woken up to the loud noises and looked out her bedroom door to see her dad helping Lorelai to walk. Rachel had seen a similar thing many times before. Lorelai being the one helping their foster mother to bed when she came home drunk trying to keep the younger ones from seeing it.

Aaron noticed his younger daughter's door opened and her standing there. "Go back to bed Rach. Everything is okay." He said

"She's drunk isn't she?" Rachel asked

Aaron didn't want to lie to her. "Yes. But she didn't drive. She's okay. Just needs some sleep."

"I can get her some water. Doesn't that help?" Rachel asked

Aaron sighed. "How do you know that?"

"I remember Lorelai and Becca making our foster mother drink some when she would come home drunk." She said

"You don't need to take care of her sister. I can handle it. Go back to bed." He said softly to her

Rachel nodded and went back in her room closing the door and laying down curling on the bed. She was scared. Was Lorelai going to turn into a drunkard?

Aaron got Lorelai to her bed and helped her remove her coat and shoes and under her blankets. He went to the kitchen and got her some water before she went back to Lorelai's room. "Drink." He ordered handing her the bottle.

Lorelai did as she was told drinking a few gulps.

"Tomorrow is going to be a hard enough day for you. Finish the bottle if you don't want to add a hangover to it." He told her.

Lorelai scowled.

"Well, if you want to deal with the hangover that's your choice." He said

Lorelai drank a couple more sips before putting the bottle down and curling up under the blanket.

Aaron sighed and left the room. He checked in on the other two and they both were asleep. Or at least seemed to bed. Aaron went to bed as well.

Just four hours later his alarm was going off. He turned it off and listened to hear Rachel leaving her room. And soon after Jack as well. He knew he needed to get up. He got up and went downstairs and took over making breakfast.

"Go on. Go get dressed." He told Rachel

Rachel went and Aaron finished making the two of them oatmeal.

The two of them sat at the table when they were both dressed and ready. They ate their breakfast. Aaron went up to Lorelai's room and knocked.

"I'll be down in a couple minutes." She said softly.

"Okay." He said leaving her be. He went back downstairs and grabbed himself a coffee and a bowl of oatmeal as well. He looked at the kids

"You have all your homework?" He asked them both

"Yes." They both said

He grabbed his wallet and handed Rachel and Jack some cash. "Buy yourself lunch." He told them both.

Before long they both headed out to their busses.

Lorelai came down as they were leaving and called out for them to have a good day before going and grabbing coffee and going and sitting in the living room sipping it.

Aaron cleared up the table from the dishes and went to sit across from her.

"You have a headache?" He asked

"No. I drank the whole bottle of water before I feel asleep." She said

"Good." He said.

They were quiet for a few minutes.

"Am I getting a lecture?" Lorelai asked

"No. Your old enough to drink. You didn't drive. No reason to lecture." He said. "But I think you're going to have to talk to Rachel. She saw you drunk." He said

Lorelai sighed. "Fuck…" She said

"You never told me you had to help your foster mother to bed when she came home drunk." He said

"If I told you every shitty thing I had to deal with while in that home it would never end." She pointed out

"Fair enough." He said

"I wasn't hiding it." She told him

"Okay. I'm not angry. I get it." He said

Lorelai nodded

"You ready to talk about what's going on or are you just going to start drinking to deal with your problems?" He asked

"So, I am getting a lecture." She said

"That's a question not a lecture." He said

"I was just upset about the whole situation yesterday. I have no intentions of drinking like that everyday." She said

Aaron nodded. "Well. You need to be at the office soon don't you?" He asked

Lorelai nodded and went and got dressed. As did Aaron. When they were both ready Aaron drove her to her car and they both went to the office. Rossi was already in his office. Lorelai put her gun, badge and wallet in her desk before going up to Rossi's office and knocking on his door.

"Come in." he said

Lorelai went in and closed the door behind her. The curtains in his office were still closed.

"Have a seat." He said pointing to the couch in his office

Lorelai sat down.

"I heard about your adventures last night." He said

"Oh. Wow. My dad doesn't waste anytime." She said

"Wasn't him. I ran into Rachel when I was dropping of Jules. She told me you came home drunk." He said

"Oh. Yeah. I'm going to talk to her tonight about it. I feel like she might have had flashbacks to a similar situation in the foster home. When I had to get our foster mother to bed when she was drunk on more than one occasion." Lorelai said

Rossi nodded. "Did you drink because you were worried about this?" he asked

"Well. Not exactly. Was upset about everything that happened yesterday. I intended to have one drink. But one led to two and so on." She said. "I didn't drive though. Got a taxi home." She said

"Glad to hear it." He said

They were quiet for only a second before Rossi stood up.

"Might as well get this over and done with." He said

Lorelai nodded

He went over to the couch and sat next to her. He quickly pulled her over his lap.

She whimpered a bit.

He placed his arm around her to hold her in place.

"Why are we here today Lorelai?" He asked

"I let my emotions get the better of me. I ignored your orders. I rolled my eyes at you." She said softly

He nodded and started to land swats on her butt. He didn't need to lecture. She had been lectured by him and by Aaron, so he didn't see the need to add on anymore. He just spent the next couple minutes landing swat after swat. It wasn't long before she was sobbing. He knew that it was about time to finish up. He landed half a dozen more swats to her tender sit spots.

When he was done he started to rub circles on his back.

"Its done. Its okay." He soothed gently. When she calmed down abit he helped her to sit next to him and wrapped her in a hug. He let her cry into him till she was completely calm.

"Your okay?" He asked

"Yes sir." She said

"You sure you don't want to talk about something?" He asked

"Yes. I'm okay." She said

"When your ready you can go get cleaned up and head back to your desk." He said

Lorelai nodded. She left the office and went to the bathroom, and got cleaned up before going back to her desk.

Slowly the rest of the team came in. And they got called out on another case.
