It had been a week since everything happened. Lorelai had taken a week off of work to decompress and get to therapy. Thankfully she had found a new therapist who she trusted and was able to talk to. In a series of three sessions previously she had told her everything. Her whole life story. It helped that Lorelai could just pull up news articles on her life from the internet, but the therapist knew everything. She hadn't spoken to Becca since that night. Kevin had asked to see Lorelai put she wasn't ready for that either. Maybe in time.

Aaron had arranged for someone to come in and clean the entire house from top to bottom to try and give it a refresh. His kids had all been traumatized in that house and he wasn't against moving if it would help them, but he wanted to try other things first.

When David got home he picked up his daughter and Aaron had told him everything that had happened with Lorelai. Dave tried to call her a couple times throughout the week, but Lorelai had been avoiding his calls as well. Lorelai had sat down with Rachel and told her everything she thought she had the right to know at this point from her past. She also answered as many of Jack's questions as she could.

Becca was released from the hospital the day after everything happened. Derek and she had, had along conversation but he was leaving it up to Aaron to handle it how he saw fit. Rebecca had been avoiding Aaron at all costs as well.

That day Aaron had decided it was time to deal with it and move on. He went to the apartment. Derek was expecting him, so he let him in and said he was going to go for a coffee to give the two of them a chance to talk.

Becca was not expecting him, so she was surprised. She tried to leave the living room and go to her room to avoid him.

Aaron put a hand on her shoulder. "Rebecca. We cant avoid talking about this forever." Aaron said calmly.

Becca let out a breathe and nodded. They both went and sat in the living room.

"I've heard the police reports, but I want to hear from you exactly what happened." Aaron said

"It was about 2pm. I was at your place early. I wanted to look at one of the law books you have in your office. Since you told me I could always borrow them if I needed them." She started. "There was a knock on the door. I went to open it and saw it was Kevin. He knows I watch your kids. I told him he wasn't supposed to be there. He promised he would be just 10 minutes. He needed to talk to me that no one needed to find out. I looked at the time. I knew the kids wouldn't be back for over an hour. I went against my better judgement and let him in. We talked for a few minutes about nothing really. Random things. Thirty minutes went by. I told him to get to what he wanted to tell me because the kids would be back soon. I saw the anger flash in his eyes, and he grabbed me. He tied me up and gagged me." She continued.

Aaron listened not interrupting her at any point.

"When the kids got home. They came into the house. Nothing seemed wrong to them I guess. When Rachel saw me she tried to run to the door and get help I assume. Kevin grabbed her I guess that's when the door was left ajar. He tied her, Jack, and Jules up as well. He ungagged me so I could get them to stop crying. He said we were just going to wait till Lorelai got home." Becca said. "Than when she did he grabbed Jules and held a knife to her neck and took her to get Lorelai to do what he wanted. When they came back into the room. He threw Jules on the ground and made Lorelai sit as well. She put herself between him and us. And I take it you know the rest from her." Becca finished

Aaron nodded. "She has told me what happened when she got there."

"I cant begin to apologize for the choice I made. I should have trusted my judgement and not let him in." Becca said

Aaron took a breathe. "I'm not going to deny that I'm angry. But I understand he is your brother. He manipulated you to doing what he wanted." He said

Becca nodded.

"And while you made the wrong choice that led to a bad situation. You had no way of knowing he would do what he did." Aaron said

"No. I really didn't. If I had any idea how it would have ended I would never have let him in. I would have called the police." Becca said looking him in the eyes.

"I do believe that." Aaron said.

"But I broke your trust." Becca said

Aaron let out a breathe. "Yes. You did. But that can be earned back. I know you love those kids. The same way Lorelai does. I know you would never intentionally hurt them."

Becca nodded.

"Spencer also told me about a conversation you two had a couple years ago. You were worried about making a choice that could hurt them." He said

Becca put her head in her hands. "And I did…."

"Becca if I had any worry about you hurting them I would never have asked you to watch them in the first place. You have been watching them for years. Till now nothing has happened. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that you are tired. That you have taken on a lot lately and your tired and you ignored your judgement probably because you were just to tried to argue. You made a mistake. Admittedly a bad one. "But Rachel told me that you did everything to protect them when the situation was what it was." Aaron said

Becca nodded. "But Lorelai was the hero in that situation."

"You both were. You kept them safe till she got there." Aaron said

Becca nodded again. She took a breathe. "What happens now?" She asked

"What do you think should happen?" Aaron asked

Becca let out a breathe and didn't answer.

Till now Aaron had been calm and allowed her to not keep eye contact with him "Rebecca I asked you a question. Answer it please." He said sternly.

"I shouldn't be allowed near any kids alone ever again…" She said

Aaron sighed. "Rebecca look at me."

Becca looked up at him.

"I know you didn't mean for any of this to happen. If I thought you did I would be pressing charges against you too. If I didn't want you near them again I wouldn't be here having this conversation. Rebecca we all make mistakes. One of mine ended with the mother of my children being murdered." He said. "I'm not saying there isn't going to be consequences for you too. But no one blames you for Kevin's choices." Aaron said

Becca nodded and looked down. "You know what happened to Hailey wasn't your fault." Becca said

"I know. But its hard not to feel responsible. Just like your feeling right now." Aaron said

Becca nodded. "Those consequences… What were you thinking?"

"You really don't know or just having a hard time admitting it to yourself?" Aaron asked

Becca ran her hand along her head. "Hard time admitting it."

"You have any reasons why you would not be comfortable with me spanking you?" Aaron asked

Becca shook her head.

"Look at me Rebecca." He said

Becca looked up.

"You sure?" He asked

"Yes sir." Becca said

"You made a really stupid choice. Put yourself and those kids in a real dangerous situation. I know you didn't intent for things to happen the way they did. But we both know you knew better. There was a restraining order in place. You have been part of this family for several years at this point. You know you screw up in this family there are consequences. Because this family loves you. And would be devastated if anything happened to you." He lectured.

Becca nodded. "Yes sir." She said

"Come here." he said

Becca got up from her spot and moved so she was next to him.

He pulled her over his lap and pushed down her pants. He started to spank her. He didn't need to lecture anymore. She knew what she did. She had sat with the guilt long enough. He just spanked her for a couple minutes the only sounds in the room was the sound of his hand meeting her butt and the small whimpers from Rebecca. Those whimpers turned into sobs before long. Once she was sobbing Aaron delivered a dozen swats to her sit spots.

When he was done he fixed her pants and sat her up next to him and wrapped his arms around her while she sobbed. Once she was calmed she pulled apart from him.

"You okay?" Aaron asked

"Yes." She said

"Next time there is an issue don't hide from me. Face it. Understood?" He asked

Becca smiled and nodded. "Yes sir."

"Good. Because this family doesn't run from their problems." He said

Becca nodded. "Um. Does David want to speak to me as well?"

"Not sure. But it wont hurt for you to go talk to him." Aaron said

Becca nodded again. "You think Lorelai will ever forgive me?"

"Yes. I do. She just needs time." Aaron said

Becca nodded.

"You mentioned a book you needed to borrow? Did you get what you needed?" He asked

"I ended up getting it at the library." She said

"Okay. Good. But you are always welcome in my home and to have access to my library." He said

"Thank you." She said

"And when you are ready I do still need someone to stay with the kids when Lorelai and I are out of town." He said

Becca nodded. "You really still trust me?"

"Of course. I know you wont make that mistake again." He said

"You're right about that." Becca said

Derek came back a few minutes later.

Meanwhile at the Hotchner residence Lorelai's phone rang

"Hello?" she said

She listened to the message asking if she would accept the call from Kevin. Lorelai sighed. "Yes."

The call went through

"You have one minute to convince me not to hang up this call." She said

"I'm so sorry." He said

"Okay your sorry. That doesn't change anything." Lorelai said

"I just don't know what else to say." He said

"Than why are you wasting my time?" Lorelai asked

"Because I feel like I owe you an apology. And a lot more. But the apology is all I can give at the moment." He said. At that moment there was a knock on the door. She went to the door and saw it was David. She sighed and opened the door.

"You need to get help. And when you've gotten that help never contact me again." She said before hanging up.

David raised an eyebrow. "You okay?" He asked

"Nope. That was Kevin." She said

"From jail?" He asked

"Yup." She said

"You don't accept his calls anymore." David said

"I wont." Lorelai said

"Good." He said

"Come on in." Lorelai said

Dave came inside. Lorelai led him to the living room. "Want something to drink? Something to eat?" She asked trying to delay the inevitable conversation.

"Or you can stop trying to avoid the conversation we need to have." He said

Lorelai sighed. "Yes sir."

"You can drop the sir. You're not in trouble.

Lorelai nodded

"Lets sit." She said.

They both sat on the couch in the family room.

"I'm sorry I've been avoiding you and ignoring your calls." She said

"Why were you?" David asked

"I felt like I let you down. I told you I could handle it." She said

"And I told you if you couldn't to tell your dad. You don't ever have to do these things on your own. That's what family is for to help us when we can handle thing alone." Dave told her

Lorelai nodded. "I know. I should have I just think I was so overwhelmed with everything that happened and the longer I avoided you…. The harder it became." She said

"You never have to avoid me kid." He said

Lorelai smiled and nodded.

"How are you doing after everything?" Dave asked

"Its. I. I'm. I don't know." She said

David nodded. "You've been to therapy since?" he asked

"Twice." She said

"Is it helping?" he asked

"Well, I haven't punched a wall like I've been wanting too." She said

"You remember what happened the last time you did that?" he asked

"Yes. I'm just so angry." She said

"I get that." Dave said.

"You know there is a gym at work. With punching bags. And people who could help you get that frustration out in a safe way." Dave said

"You offering?" She asked

"Yes." Dave said. "Monday morning. 8am I want to see you there." He said

Lorelai nodded. "I'll be there."

"Good." He said. "Where is everyone today?" He asked

"Jack is hanging with his cousins. Rachel is at a volleyball practice. Dad I believe is talking to Becca who has been avoiding him." She said

"Ah. Have you two talked?" He asked

"Nope." Lorelai said

"You going to make a habit of running from and ignoring your problems?" he asked

Lorelai sighed. "I don't know…" She said

"That's a yes or no questions." David said

"No." She said defeated.

"When are you going to call her or go see her?" David asked

"Come on. You know what she did." Lorelai said

"Yes. I do. And my daughter was involved to you know. I'm not thrilled about it, but it was a mistake. One I feel she wont make it again." David said

"I just feel like she took his feelings into account more than mine." Lorelai said

"And I get that. But you have made your share of mistakes. And not once did any of your family think to turn their backs on you." David said.

"My mistakes were always to help people not hurt them." She said

"And you don't think Becca was thinking about helping her brother? She shouldn't have let him in here I agree but she didn't think he would be here long. It was wrong but she is dealing with the consequences, and we move on." He said

"So, you have forgiven her?" Lorelai asked

"When she stops avoiding me I will." He said

Lorelai chuckled. "We always were alike."

"Mhm." David said

"She needs to come to me. I will forgive her." Lorelai said

"Your choice." He said.

Lorelai nodded. "How is Jules?"

"Well. She thinks your angry with her." He said

"What? Why didn't you tell me?" Lorelai asked

"Well, you have been avoiding my calls." He said

"Oh. Yeah. That. If its not a problem I can come over later today to talk to her." She said

"Of course." He said.

The two of them talked for a little bit before he left and went home.

Lorelai headed out about an hour after him and went over to his place and knocked on the door.
