The next morning Lorelai woke up when a nurse came in to take her vitals. Lorelai just let it happen. When the nurse was done a tray of food came in. Lorelai sighed. She hated hospital food and unfortunately she couldn't get anything brought in as she was on a specific diet after her surgery.
Spencer stretched and looked over at her. "Hi. How are you feeling?" he asked
"Better." She told him.
"Good." He said
She ate her breakfast. "If you want to go get coffee and food." She told him.
"Not leaving you alone." He said
"You know I'm a big girl I will be fine." She said with a smile.
"Well, I made your dad a promise. I'm not going to break that promise." He said
"What if I stay with her till you get back?" A voice said.
They both looked up to see Becca standing there. A vase with flowers in her hands.
Lorelai took a breathe.
Spencer looked at Lorelai and asked with his eyes if she was okay with that.
Lorelai nodded telling him it was okay.
Spencer got up and left the room
Becca set the flowers down on the table and handed her the card. "Its from Derek, Penny & Me." She said
Lorelai smiled abit. "Thanks. How do you feel that she's going to be your stepmother?"
"Strange." Becca admitted. "But I'm happy for them."
"They both deserve to be happy." Lorelai said
"Yes they do." Becca agreed
They sat in silence for a few minutes.
"Lorelai. I know it doesn't change what I did. But I am so. Sorry." Becca said
Lorelai nodded.
"I'm so sorry that the stress from everything made this so much worse." She added
"Well, if I hadn't been stupid I would have gone to the doctors sooner and it might not have gotten this bad." Lorelai said
"Well maybe. But if I didn't allow things to happen." Becca said
"Something else would have caused me stress. I'm not saying that what you did was okay. It wasn't. But holding on to the anger wont do either of us any good." Lorelai said. "I forgive you."
"Thank you." Becca said
"But if you ever allow him around my safe places again. I will cut you off too." Lorelai said
"I understand. I wont. Right now, I don't know that I even ever want to see him again." Becca said
"Well, that's your choice." Lorelai told her
Becca nodded.
Lorelai read the card and smiled.
"How are you feeling?" Becca asked
"Better." Lorelai said
"Good." Becca said
"So, you experienced one of my dad's lecture for the first time huh?" Lorelai asked
Becca nodded. "Yup. I don't know whose lectures are worse. His or Derek's"
Lorelai chuckled. "They both have the lecturing down pat that's for sure. So does David for the record."
Rebecca sighed. "Yeah. I might be getting one of those too…"
"When you stop avoiding him?" Lorelai asked
"You know about that huh?" Becca asked
"I was avoiding him too." Lorelai said
"Why?" Becca asked
"Long story. But I know he is waiting for you to come talk to him. And he is going to forgive you." Lorelai said
"You sure?" Becca asked
Lorelai nodded. "Yes."
"Guess I cant run from him forever." She said
A few minutes later Aaron came in the room. "Morning." He said
"Morning." Lorelai said
"And since you are here. I will head out." Becca said
"You two talk I take it?" Aaron asked
"Yes." The both said
"Have a good day Becca." Aaron said before Becca left.
"Where is Spencer?" Aaron asked
"He went to get coffee and breakfast when Becca got here." Lorelai said
Aaron nodded.
"He didn't want to leave. I made him." Lorelai said with a small smile
Aaron chuckled and nodded
"Those are nice flower." He said
"They are from Derek, Penny, and Becca. Yes they are very nice." Lorelai agreed
"How are you feeling?" Aaron asked
"Better." Lorelai said.
"That's the truth?" he asked
"You know I cant lie to you." Lorelai said with a smile.
"You hid the pain for a month so I say you can." Aaron said with a raised eyebrow
"It wasn't constant pain. And you didn't ask me about it. So, while I'm sure you see it as a lie of omission it wasn't exactly a lie." She said
"A lie of omission is a lie." Aaron said
"Okay. But I didn't know it was anything this serious." Lorelai said
"I know but still." He said
"I should have seen a doctor I know. You can save the lecture. I've already heard it from Spencer." She said
"I'll save it. For now." Aaron said
Lorelai sighed and nodded.
Before long Spencer came back as well and sat with the two of them.

Becca texted Dave and asked if he would meet her for a coffee. Dave got the text and agreed and met her at the cozy café.
Becca was already there when Dave showed up and he went and sat with her. "You like this place as much as Lorelai?" He asked
Becca smiled and nodded. "I think so yes."
"How are you?" he asked
"I'm okay. Just left the hospital checking on Lorelai. And talking things out." Becca said
"Good." Dave said
"And don't be angry with her but she told me that you two talked about me and how you were waiting for me to come talk to you. About what happened." Becca said
Dave nodded. "I'm not angry with her."
"I am so sorry. I had no idea how it would end. And I would never have put Jules or any of us in that situation intentionally." Becca said
"I realize that. I would never have asked you to watch her if I didn't trust you would protect her. I know the situation got out of your control quickly. I also know that Aaron has taken care of dealing with it. I have no doubt that you will never make that same choice again. It's forgiven." Dave said
Becca nodded. "Thank you."
"Are you okay?" Dave asked
Becca sighed. "I was seeing this guy for awhile. He broke up with me two days ago. Still trying to process than."
"Oh. I'm sorry. Do you know what made him decided that?" Dave asked
"I am to much drama." Becca said putting air quotes around the word drama
Dave shook his head. "The right person will accept you for who you are."
"I know its just hard. He seemed like the perfect guy." Becca said
"You're still very young. Give it time." Dave said
"I know your right." Becca said with a smile.
Dave nodded. They talked abit longer and Dave paid for their coffees before they went their own ways.
