The wedding day came. Penny woke up alone in the house. Derek and she had bought a house several months earlier and Derek had been working on updating it till about a week ago. Penny had given up her apartment a few months previously and had been staying at Derek's. But they had done the traditional not spending the night before the wedding together.

Derek was at his apartment. He woke up and looked around. The place was pretty much empty. This was his last day in the apartment. He had the apartment for the next week technically but after the wedding. He and Penny were going on their honeymoon. He got up and went into the kitchen.

Penny got up as well when she heard a knock on the door. She went and opened it to find JJ was the first to arrive and she had her hands full with coffee and other thing. Lorelai right behind her carrying things as well. Penny let them in, and they set the things down and JJ handed them both their coffee's.

"How are you feeling?" JJ asked Penny,

"Excited. But nervous." Penny said

"Completely normal." JJ said.

Slowly everyone else showed up. When the hair stylists and make-up artists showed up everyone got seated and started to get hair and make up done. Had music playing and lots of talking.

Emily looked at Lorelai and JJ. "How is the morning sickness for the two of you?"

"Hanging on for dear life." Lorelai said

"All gone for me." JJ said

"Urg. Jealous." Lorelai said

"But sounds like yours is heading out too?" Becca asked

"Yes. Its definitely much better than it was." Lorelai said. "And I feel good today." She said with a smile

Penny smiled. "Good."

They finished getting ready.

Meanwhile at the Hotchner residence the men were getting ready too.

Spencer took Aaron aside.

"Its kind of last minute but haven't had a chance to get you alone to ask." Spencer started

Aaron looked at the younger man. "Okay."

"Derek and Penny have of course approved it but I'm planning on proposing to Lorelai tonight. Do I have your blessing?" Spencer asked the older man.

Aaron took a breathe. The last several years with Lorelai flashed through his brain. The good and the bad. He didn't get as many years with her as he wished he could have but he knew that Spencer was a good man and through everything Lorelai had been through and put Spencer through he was always there for her even when they weren't together he had her back. His little girl wasn't that anymore. These two were going to be parents in just a few months and that baby deserved two happy parents and he knew that they both made each other very happy. Aaron nodded. "Yes. You have my blessing. But you hurt my daughter." He warned.

"There will not be a safe place in this world. I understand completely." Spencer nodded.

Aaron smirked and shook his hand. "Good."

Slowly both groups finished getting ready and the man headed to the church first.

Derek and Penny agreed to get married in a church to appease his mother. Derek believed in God, but he wouldn't have pushed for a church wedding if his mother hadn't requested it.

In true wedding tradition they were waiting for the bridal party. Penny was getting anxious about being late.

"It is -your wedding. You are the bride you can not be late." Emily told her.

They headed to the church soon after and the wedding ceremony started. Kelsey was the flower girl. Henry was the ring bearer.

Lorelai, Emily, and Becca were the bridesmaids, JJ was the matron of honor. Aaron & David were the groomsman and Spencer was the best man. Once everyone had made their way down the aisle the bridal march started, everyone stood up and Penny walked down.

When Derek saw her his heart stopped for a moment. She looked stunning. She was of course always beautiful but that dress. Was everything that Penny was. Unique, beautiful, and over the top in the best way. He had to stop himself from thinking about taking that dress off later that night.

The ceremony started and before long the priest was saying those last words.

"You may now kiss the bride."

Derek and Penny moved in close and kissed. Derek tipped her as they kissed. Everyone cheered. And not long after everyone was at the hall celebrating this couple.

The food was fabulous, and everyone was on the floor dancing after the speeches. It was time for the flower toss.

All the unmarried woman and girls got up and went to get situated behind Penny. Penny started to pretend like she was going to throw up. Once, she lifted the bouquet above her head, twice she did it again. Before she turned around and walked directly over to Lorelai and handed it to her. Lorelai was a little confused till Becca and Emily turned her around to see Spencer on one knee on the ground in front of her. He held a small box in his hands. Lorelai took a breathe.

"Lorelai Hotchner. The day you walked into work as the new agent I felt the spark. I knew that you were going to be an important person in my life. We have been to hell and back together the last several years. And through it all my love for you has never changed. We are about to be parents for the first time, and I cant imagine doing it without us being married. You are everything I have ever dreamed off for a wife. Will you do me the honor of being your husband." Spencer said

Lorelai was to shocked to speak so she just nodded. Spencer took the ring out of the box and put it on Lorelai's hand that she was holding out. Spencer took up and pulled her in close and kissed her. Wrapped his arms around her and picked her up in his arms.

Everyone cheered.

The kiss and the cheering brought her back to reality. She looked down at the beautiful ring. It was a very simple ring. But it was perfect for Lorelai. She hugged Spencer again and kissed him again. Before she turned to Penny who had a big smile on her face. She hugged her. "I guess this was planned."

Penny chuckled. "Yup. It was your turn to be surprised."

Lorelai hugged everyone. When she came to her dad she hugged him tight.

"I'm so happy for you two. If there is a heaven and Hailey is watching she is so happy for you too." He said

Lorelai got a little chocked up again and nodded. "I hope there is, and she is."

Aaron nodded and kissed her head. "Go. Be with your fiancé." He said

Lorelai smiled and went back to Spencer and hugged him again.

Spencer wrapped her in a hug. "How are you feeling?" He asked

"So happy Spenc. For Derek and Penny, for this baby." She said putting her hand on her tummy. "And for us." She said

Spencer nodded and smiled.

Everyone got back on the dance floor and danced the night away. The party kept going till the wee hours of the morning. Slowly people started to leave. Will took the kids and headed home letting JJ stay and party. Aaron and Dave took their kids home around midnight. Rachel stayed Lorelai would take her home. In the end it was just the bridal party and Rachel staying dancing till three in the morning. Derek took Penny at that point, and they headed to the hotel they were staying at that night.

Everyone else started for home around the same time. It had been a great party, but it was time to end it and head home.
