Chapter 5 is here and let's see how things go.
Xavier's school:
When the group got back, Karolina and Nico took the shopping up to their room while Jean, Wanda and Raven made their way to Charles' office. The door to Charles' office opened as Jean used her powers, the trio walked in to see Charles behind his desk whilst talking to Hank.
"Professor, we need help." Jean shouted and Charles quickly wheeled from behind his desk and towards the girls. "We had a bit of trouble when we went out today." Jean told the two Professors which concerned them both.
"What kind of trouble, Jean?" Hank asked then they looked at Wanda who was looking at the floor.
"The Avengers." Wanda said which surprised both Hank and Charles. "Earlier, Jean answered a call from Steve Rogers, Captain America, asking where I was and that they were looking for me." Wanda explained to them and she felt betrayed. "This is my mess, not yours. I'll deal with this myself." Wanda got up then was stopped by Jean.
"You mean this is our mess," Jean told her, which surprised Wanda. "I promised you that we'll help you, no matter what the problem." Jean told her and it made Wanda happy.
"Let's go and talk to them," The group looked at the window to see Raven sat on the window edge, looking outside. "I would usually say let's hit them back but that would make things worse. Let's sit down with them and talk: tell that Wanda can do what she wants." Raven told them and they all looked at each other.
"Let's go then. I know where they'll be." Wanda told them then she, Jean and Raven were about to go when Karolina and Nico walked in.
"If you're going, we're coming too." Nico told them and Wanda nodded, the five women then walked down the hall and towards the Rolls-Royce. Charles and Hank were in the entrance of the school building as they watched the car drive down the path.
"Do you think they'll succeed?" Hank asked and Charles smiled then looked up at his friend.
"If I know those women, they'll definitely succeed in telling the Avengers to leave Wanda and us alone." Charles told Hank and they were both hoping that things would go well.
Avengers compound:
The Rolls-Royce drove up the road and towards the compound: with help from Wanda using her powers to get in. The car pulled up outside the front entrance and the doors opened then Karolina, Nico, Raven, Wanda and Jean got out.
"Welcome to the Avengers Compound. Follow me." Wanda told them then they walked in. They were heading to the meeting room as Wanda knew that either Steve or Natasha would be there. Wanda used her powers to open the door to the meeting room, they walked in and there was Natasha pointing two guns at them.
"Hello again, Miss Trigger Happy." Nico spoke with a fake smile then Karolina blasted the guns out of Natasha's hands. "Can we talk without being threatened?" Nico asked and at that moment, the other doors opened then out ran Steve and Clint. Vision appeared from under the floor and James Rhodes arrived in his War Machine suit.
"Wanda?" Vision asked and Wanda nodded. "How are you? Where have you been?" Vision asked and Wanda felt happy to see that Vision wasn't threatened by her being in the compound.
"She could be better if two of you didn't try and take her back but she didn't want to go with them." Jean told Vision and the hero looked at her. "I'm Jean. Jean Grey: Wanda's girlfriend." Jean introduced herself which surprised the others.
"These are my other friends: Karolina Dean, Nico Minoru and Raven Darkholme." Wanda told them then Wanda stepped forward and her hands started glowing. "Look: I don't wanna be an Avenger. I wanna live my life with my girlfriend, my friends and learn how to use my powers properly." Wanda told them then Raven stepped forward.
"Wanda is one of us. If you mess with her, you mess with us." Raven added and at that moment, the girls showed their abilities: Karolina started glowing multi-colours as she began to float, Nico took out her Staff Of One and her eyes were now purple, Jean's hands and hair were on fire and Wanda's hands started to glow red.
"We promise to leave you alone," Vision promised, which surprised everyone. "Wanda, be safe." Vision spoke and that made Wanda smile. Vision smiled then Steve stepped forward and Wanda looked at him.
"If we need you, will you help us?" Steve asked and Wanda nodded, she walked over to him as her hands stopped glowing.
"Yes but only if the situation becomes too much. Or if the world is coming to an end." Wanda told him and Steve nodded. Wanda walked back over to her friends then stopped, she walked over to Vision and smiled. "Vision, thank you for being there for me. And treating me like a person, not someone dangerous." Wanda thanked and Vision nodded then smiled.
"No Wanda. Thank you for helping me to understand people and treating me as a person, not a machine." Vision thanked then Wanda hugged him. Vision was confused, then copied Wanda and hugged her back. "I hope we meet again." Vision spoke as the two stepped back, Wanda nodded and smiled then she walked over to Jean and held her hand.
"I hope so too, Vis." Wanda smiled and Vision smiled back. "If you ever wanna talk, call me." Wanda told him and Vision nodded as he was happy to have a friend.
"Let's go home, girls." Nico suggested and they nodded, they turned around and walked towards the front doors of the compound. They got into the Rolls-Royce then Karolina drove them back to the mansion.
Xavier's school:
Later that day, it was time for the Halloween party and everyone was dressed. Meanwhile upstairs, Jean was in her room adding bright red lipstick as she was wearing her Poison Ivy costume. She was looking forward to seeing Wanda in her costume, she had just put her lipstick away when she heard a knock on her door.
"Jean, it's me." Wanda's voice called in then Jean ran over and opened the door. When Jean opened the door, she saw Wanda wearing red and black leather pants and a corset with a white wing with red and blue ponytails. "How do I look?" Wanda asked with a smile, she did a twirl to show off her costume.
"Damn, girl! You're so hot!" Jean exclaimed and Wanda blushed. "What do you think of my costume, babe?" Jean asked, she slowly turned around in a circle and showed off her costume, Wanda was impressed how the suit was perfectly fitted to Jean's body.
"Looks like the suit was made purposely for you." Wanda complimented and it made Jean smile. They took hold of each others' hands then kissed until they heard footsteps walking towards them.
"Looks like we arrived at a bad time." Wanda and Jean looked to the left and saw Nico and Karolina in their costumes: Nico was dressed as Raven and Karolina was dressed as Supergirl. "Come on, lovebirds. Raven's waiting for us downstairs." Karolina told them and the couple nodded with a smile and blushing cheeks, they all then headed downstairs and were met by all the students in costumes. The four looked in front of them to see Raven walking towards them in her Dove costume.
"Damn, Raven. You look amazing!" Jean exclaimed and the others nodded in agreement. "This Halloween party is amazing! And an amazing array of costumes!" Jean complimented and the others nodded then they went off to enjoy themselves.
Later on:
Time had passed and everyone was having fun: Jean and Wanda were dancing, Raven was chatting to Hank while Nico had disappeared, leaving Karolina concerned as she didn't know where her girlfriend had wandered off to. Karolina walked over to Wanda and Jean, they were now over by the drinks table whilst chatting.
"Wanda? Jean? Have you seen Nico?" Karolina asked as she was puzzled about where Nico had disappeared to. Jean looked around and was puzzled while Wanda looked up and smiled.
"Nico said she was gonna go outside for some fresh air." Wanda told her and Karolina smiled then headed towards the front doors. Jean looked at her girlfriend then smiled and Wanda was happy. "Come on. We don't want to miss this!" Wanda suggested and Jean nodded, the pair then followed Karolina as they knew what was going on.
Pond:
Karolina was looking everywhere for Nico and it wasn't long until she found her girlfriend. She ran over to see Nico smiling as she sat by the pond, Karolina sat next to Nico and looked at her.
"I was worried where you went, babe." Karolina smiled and Nico smiled then the couple looked at the pond. "Nico, is everything okay? Are we okay?" Karolina asked and Nico looked at Karolina, she felt happy as she looked at Karolina.
"Karolina, we are perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better partner and girlfriend," Nico started, she wiped a tear away from her eyes and pushed back her hood on her Raven costume. "The reason I came out here was because I wanted to think about something: something life changing." Nico got off the bench whilst reaching around her neck and took out a necklace which had a ring on the end.
"Nico…" Karolina was about to speak but she stopped when Nico removed the ring and held it out, causing Karolina to cover her mouth and tears appeared in her eyes.
"Karolina, we've been through a lot together. You are the one good thing to happen to me and I wouldn't want to change a thing." Nico started as she used her right hand to take hold of Karolina's left hand. "Karolina Dean, will you make me very happy and marry me?" Nico asked and Karolina nodded as she was still speechless. Nico was crying tears of joy as she slid the ring onto Karolina's finger.
"It's beautiful." Karolina exclaimed as she looked at the ring then she looked at Nico. "I love you, Nico." Karolina smiled and Nico smiled back, the pair kissed with the moon shining behind them. From a distance, Jean and Wanda had seen everything and they were happy for them.
"Must've been hard to get that for Nico." Jean thought but Wanda shook her head then she smiled at Jean. "How did you get the ring, babe?" Jean asked as the pair headed back to the school.
"I asked Vision for some help, he was happy to help me." Wanda explained and Jean was impressed. "Let's go. I wanna have some alone time with my girl." Wanda suggested and Jean smiled so the pair headed to their room, leaving the party to spend time alone.
This is the end of chapter 5 but it's not the end of the story. Chapter 6 onwards will be based after Endgame. Sorry for the long wait but I had a few problems: writer's block then I couldn't think of what else to add. But I'm back with loads of ideas for this story.
