CHAPTER 19: Old Friends, New Troubles

[Cafeteria, Unity Force Academy, U.F. Earth]
At the Academy's cafeteria at morning, we see Tsunayoshi Sawada, Reborn, Son Goku, Danny Phantom, Sonic, Robin, Kaori Miyazono, Hayate Ayasaki, Kanta Mizuno, Nagi Sanzenin, Taichi Yagami, Remon Yamano, Natsu Dragneel, Nagisa Shiota, Saitama, and two males on the back lining up for food in front of the counter, as well, as if the place becomes busy tenfold.
The first male is that of an overweight balding man. His eyes are blue and he is 6 feet tall (183 cm). He wears a white shirt, blue denim pants, and black shoes. This is Homer Simpson.
The second male is a portly man with a short brown hair and black dotted eyes. He wears a white collared shirt, green pants, brown shoes and wears glasses. This is Peter Griffin, who is one of Homer's friends in the U.F. Academy.
"Why do we have to line up in front of these idiots, again?" Homer complained.
"Dunno, mate." Peter simply responded, who only shrugged in an equivocal manner. "Why not ask the rest?" He reminded. "I just want my food, and that is it." He ended.
Homer leaves his spot to do so... But suddenly, he grabs Nagi by the collar of her shirt, as he begins bellowing out of nowhere in front of the poor girl!
"What the? What is wrong with you?" Nagi questioned in fright, causing several of the people lining up watching at the commotion, as well as the students sitting at their tables, as well.
"The heck...?" Danny questioned.
"Why, why, why do you have to take my spot?!" Homer furiously exclaimed. "You know that Peter and I came here before, you dickwads!" He added.
"Excuse me?!" Nagi argued.
"What is this guy's problem?" Son Goku said, as he only facepalms.
"Lots." Saitama said.
"God help me..." Kanta said.
"Says the guy who always have a short fuse in front of me." Hayate sneered.
"Oh, shut up. Don't lump me in with this douchebag." Kanta replied.
"That's Homer Simpson for you. The guy who is just utterly dumb to think straightly." Reborn remarked sarcastically.
The argument between Homer and Nagi continues.
"Have you completely lost it?!" Nagi exclaimed.
"Why you little...!" Homer then proceeds to strangle Nagi.
"What the fuck?!" Kanta said.
"You have got to be kidding me!" Hayate exclaimed.
"Please, guys, calm down!" Kaori admonished in front of Homer, Kanta, Nagi, and Hayate, trying to defuse this rather heated situation, as she tries to stop the latter's rather unexpected anger in a pacifistic manner.
"She took my spot on the line!" Homer bellowed, as he pointed the blame on Nagi.
"I DIDN'T take your spot!" Nagi argued.
"WHY YOU LITTLE...!" Homer said his trademark phrase again, as he proceeds to strangle Nagi, before Sonic quickly intervenes.
"This guy has lost it!" Hayate exclaimed.
"Please, calm down!" Sonic said.
"Boring! Can I have my food, instead of watching this argument like Nas and Jay-Z's beef in the past?" Peter interrupted from out of nowhere.
Later on, a girl suddenly appears at the cafeteria, who decides to intervene.
She has light blue eyes and light blue hair. Her hair is short and wavy. She has fair and pale coloured skin and pinkish lips. She is mostly seen wearing her school's uniform, and a pair of orange-ish red headphones with a CD player. She carries a black and white and has handbag with her in which she carries her favorite songs. She wears long, black socks, covering her thighs, and a pair of brown school shoes. This is Fuuka Akitsuki.
"Sorry about him!" Fuuka said. "Homer-sama's a little grumpy today!" She added, before she grabs Homer away by the collar from the chaos that he just caused. "Will you knock it off?!" She chastised.
"But she took my spot!" Homer rebutted.
"Your friend's a bit of an idiot." Natsu said bluntly in front of Peter.
"Agreeable." Robin responded.
"Why am I being surrounded by idiots, all the time?" Nagi uttered, as she coughs.
Not far from the line-up, at one of the tables, we see Kozakura Izumo all by herself sitting at one of the tables, as she wants to be alone, or so it seems. That is, until Saitama arrives from out of nowhere with a girl next to him.
"What are you doing here, Saitama-san?" Kozakura asked. "And who the heck is that waif next to you?" She asked the literal One-Punch Man, while looking at the girl beside him. "You're seriously attracting weird people, ever since you've come here." She described.
"Says the woman who is prone to getting scared." Saitama said.
"Oh, shut up." Kozakura said.
"Anyways, this is Layla, who is an idol at 346PRO." Saitama responded indifferently. "I've just picked her up yesterday at night, when she was about to be ganged up by some freaks yesterday." He continued.
"The fuck?" Kozakura said. "You pretty much said it casually, don't you?" She added.
"All it takes for them is a single punch." Saitama indifferently answered.
The girl known as Layla is a dark-skinned girl who has blonde hair and has vivid light blue eyes. She wears a school uniform that consists of a dark-blue blazer and skirt, as well as a white long-sleeved buttoned shirt and a red ribbon on the inside of the blazer. She also wears black socks and brown loafers.
"Just stay out of trouble next time, or you just wind up being with more weirdos like him." Kozakura replied.
"But he's not a weirdo." Layla argued. "Although, I liked his bloody ways of dealing with people." She casually uttered, not knowing the weight of what she has just said.
"You have got to be kidding me... This person is officially a weirdo..." Kozakura thought, who is describing Layla.
Yesterday that night...
[Flashback Starts]
After a successful rehearsal at the filming studio of the 346 Production building, Layla is later seen walking by herself around the streets of Tokyo, before she suddenly approaches a duo of rather unknown, muscular men in front of her.
"Uh, hello there?" Layla greeted randomly. "I just want to talk to both of you." She added.
Instead, one of the muscular men looked at Layla with a sadistic grin on his face, who are clearly not partaking at conversing the runaway 346PRO idol, but rather doing something far worse...
"What do we have in here?" The first man asked.
"A lost, little girl stepping in our turf, that is." The second man said while cracking his knuckles, as he grabs her hand without hesitation. "Actually, screw it. She does look beautiful!" He added, as he ogled maliciously at her frightened face, before proceeding to fondle it.
"This is bad!" Layla thought frightfully, as she attempts to run away, but the second man doesn't let her do so.
"Where do you think you're going, little bitch?" The second man said.
"Let me go!" Layla argued.
"Oh no, you don't." The first man answered. "We'll be having some quality time here!" He added, as he proceeds to affix her to the wall with his hands being held into hers.
"Someone help me..." Layla said loudly, as she starts to tear up.
But before that, a shadowy figure is to be seen around the city, revealing Saitama in his hero costume. He then proceeds to approach the thugs casually.
"What do you think you're doing in here?" The first man said, as he looks at Saitama.
"Walking, that's why." Saitama said. "Seriously, girl. You really tried to talk with them." He ended, who is looking at Layla.
"DON'T FUCK WITH ME!" The first man yelled before targeting Saitama, where Saitama only watches at him indifferently.
"Consecutive Normal Punches..." Saitama said, as he unleashes a flurry of attacks known as Normal Punch towards him, causing him to explode into a collection of gore and bloody mess.
"That... That's impossible...!" Layla exclaimed, before some blood spattered onto her. "Get this thing off me!" She panicked.
This, alone, caused several people to appear and to watch this commotion.
"Is he even a normal human to do that?" A person from the crowd questioned Saitama's inhuman ability.
"WHAT?! What are you made of?! Damn it, forget about this foreigner bitch!" The second man exclaimed, as he drops Layla down, where he instead focuses on Saitama, before he grinned maliciously. "I'll beat your ass into a bloody pulp!"
"I know, but can we focus on fighting instead of yapping?" Saitama simply said.
"Oh, I will, after breaking every single bone in your body!" The second man exclaimed maliciously.
However, Saitama proceeds to end the battle anti-climatically, as he unleashes a regular Normal Punch towards him, causing the muscular thug to scream in agony, as he was being thrown violently from one building to the other, before the thug later lands to the 346PRO building.
"HUH?!" The crowd uttered, before a pause ensues.
"That was it?"
"What the hell was that?"
"Did he just punch that thug with a single blow?"
"Impossible!"
"This person has to be that powerful for it to send the thug into the 346PRO building!"
"He's not even a normal human being!"
"Are you okay?" Saitama asked Layla.
"I-I-I-I guess... Thanks for saving me." Layla replied in stutters. "I was just wanting to talk to them, but they didn't like me." She added, as she holds Saitama's hands, out of fright.
"You must have taken it literally." Saitama said indifferently.
[Flashback Ends]
"And that's how it happened." Layla responded in front of Kozakura.
"This was your fault for being an idiot in the first place." Kozakura retorted. "I have to go now, before I lose my mind." She added, before leaving the table that she is currently in.
With that, only Saitama and Layla are left, before they are approached by Nagisa and Natsu.
"Idiots..." Kozakura uttered, before leaving the cafeteria.
[Kozakura's Mansion, Shakujii Park, Normal Earth]
Forty minutes later, Kozakura later arrives at her mansion, where most of it is covered in snow.
"Oh, great..." Kozakura uttered.
However, she suddenly hears a voice, causing her to immediately open the door out of her own safety for anyone who attempted to rob her mansion.
Much to her utter annoyance, however, she sees Sorawo Kamikoshi, Toriko Nishina, and two other women, one of which is familiar to Toriko and the other being familiar to Kozakura.
The first woman has olive hair and blue eyes. She wears a black blouse, blue tight-fitting denim pants, and black winter boots. This is Kaede Takagaki, a 346PRO idol and one of Kozakura's oldest friends since childhood.
The second woman has long light-brown hair in a ponytail, as well as green eyes. She wears a pink buttoned dress with a black belt, as well as brown winter boots. This is Kumiko Matsuyama, who is also an idol for 346PRO, and Toriko's best friend.
"What the hell are you all doing IN MY HOUSE?!" Kozakura fumed malignantly, before looking at Sorawo and Toriko. "You twerps entered my mansion, once again, without my permission!" She furiously exclaimed, as she looks at the group.
"Oh, it's Kozakura-chan." Toriko greeted.
"Sup." Sorawo said.
"I told you not to break into my house, again, Sorawo-chan and Toriko-chan!" Kozakura said. "And not to bring these complete whack jobs, including Kaede!" She said, as she pointed at Kaede, who is only seen drinking saké.
"It's Takagaki-san's idea to see you again for a reunion, Izumo-sama." Kumiko said.
"Why did you bring this friend of yours, Toriko-chan?" Kozakura questioned, as she asks Toriko about Kumiko, before looking at the said woman. "How the hell do you know about me?" She asked annoyingly.
"Oh, I heard a lot of you from Takagaki-san and Toriko-chan." Kumiko exclaimed.
"You know Toriko-chan?" Kozakura asked.
"Kumi-chan is a best friend of mine in university!" Toriko said.
"Great... More idiots." Kozakura grumbled.
"Been a long time, Kozakura-chin." Kaede suddenly greeted in an inebriating manner. "You really, really grow up to be a VTuber, I see!" She added, before she proceeds to hug her best friend in a lascivious manner by pushing her head into her breasts.
"The fuck, Kaede! Cut it out, will you?!" Kozakura said.
"Nope!" Kaede simply said happily, albeit in a drunk manner.
"Awww..." Toriko said in awe.
"You two are really close, Takagaki-san, like childhood friends." Kumiko said, who only smiled deviously, while being oblivious to Kozakura's fury.
"Since elementary." Kaede responded.
"This... Is... Why... I don't allow these nutcases to be at my mansion!" Kozakura exclaimed.
Minutes later...
The scene cuts to Kozakura, Sorawo, Kumiko, Toriko, and Kaede sitting in front of the table, as they sit down, with Kozakura smoking a cigarette. The petite Otherside researcher later turns the ventilation on.
"I do know Kaede since first grade." Kozakura said. "But ever since she became an idol, I felt disillusioned over this stunt that she has started." She added.
"You really have problems, Kozakura-san." Sorawo said. "It's no wonder you are looking more of a waif bordering into becoming a full-time misanthrope than a normal person." She replied.
"Oh, shut it." Kozakura added.
"I heard that Koume Shirasaka-chan, an idol within 346PRO, is interested with this Otherside thing that you do here." Kumiko replied.
"You have to be kidding me." Kozakura said. "This is exactly the reason why matters regarding Otherside are confidential, because of people like her." She ended with a huff.
"Don't be shy, Kozakura-chin." Kaede said, as she playfully pats her best friend's head. "I'm pretty sure that she wants her to be your friend, because of it." She added.
"Get that freaking hand of yours off my head." Kozakura threatened. "And for the record, no." She added.
"About that." Sorawo said.
"I heard that Saitama-san is talked a lot in Tokyo, after he saved Layla-chan from those thugs!" Toriko exclaimed.
"Even though we had to clean the building..." Kumiko added.
"That's Layla-san's fault for being an irresponsible idiot." Kozakura added, as she is drinking a glass of wine.
"She's obsessed at talking to strangers at random." Kaede said.
"That makes her an even bigger idiot." Kozakura retorted mockingly. "Saitama-san only made things worse, based on what he told me earlier about that incident." She ended.
"That's harsh, Kozakura-chin." Kaede said.
"Leave me out of this." Kozakura said indecorously.
"So, are you going back to your ghost adventures?" Kumiko questioned, as she changed the subject.
"I'm not thinking of going to Otherside matters for now." Kozakura replied. "There's still two missions happening with some of the Unity Force being sent there, so I need to help them out, in case something comes up." Kozakura ended.
"That doesn't sound right." Toriko answered. "I wonder if their missions in those worlds are bigger than what it was in Chito-chan's world, months ago."
"Which is?" Kozakura asked, while unbeknown to her that her best friend is completely drunk from the cups of sakés that she had drunk for several minutes.
"Do you think there is a bigger force causing this to happen?" Toriko asked.
"Don't ask me. I'm not an oracle. However, we still don't know why it is, but I assume that something is up." Kozakura ended, before attempting to pour another glass of wine, but was interrupted, once again, when Kaede suddenly gropes her best friend. "What the?!" She blushes profusely. "K-K-Kaede!"
"Kozakura-chan~" Kaede replied in a drunk manner.
"Damn it! I knew that this is a terrible idea!" Kozakura said. "Matsuyama-san, you should know the reason WHY I don't want this freak in my mansion!" She exclaimed.
"Bear with it, because I truly know how Kaede-san acts when she is drunk." Kumiko answered casually, as she smiled mischievously. "After all, she wants to see you again~!" She said, while winking, causing Toriko to smile.
"Isn't this a time where both of you bond each other?" Toriko casually remarked.
"Goddamn you for causing this, Toriko-chan-" Kozakura cursed, as her face contorted into anger, but was cut off, when Kaede proceeds to rub her face against Kozakura's, blushing her furthermore.
"You're so cute when you're flustered, Kozakura-chan..." Kaede said inebriatingly.
"GODDAMN YOU, TORIKO-CHAN!" Kozakura only screamed on top of her lungs.
