She stood in the front of her closet rummaging through her clothes for what she would be wearing to Fin's party. Pants obviously weren't an option so she picked out her best dresses and placed them on her bed. Some she didn't even know she had. Dresses she bought for dates but just ended up canceling. There was a small pile of clothes beside her bed on the floor. They were clothes and outfits she definitely wouldn't be ever wearing again. She picks up the scattered clothes hangers as she moves to sit on her bed to look at the few dresses she has set out as possible options. She eyes the black dress she sees and places it on a hanger because she wears enough dull colors at work. She spots a white dress she doesn't even remember buying and picked it up holding it to her chest. Under different circumstances she would've worn the dress but she didn't want anything so loose fitting. She almost gives up hope and thinks maybe she has enough time to go out and buy a new dress until dark red fabric catches her eye. She pushed everything aside and stands as she lifts the dress.

"This looks promising." She thinks to herself.

Thankfully she had enough time to get ready before Elliot shows up.

She puts away every other dress before she heads to her bathroom to shower.

She sits staring in her mirror applying light make up to her face. She adds loose curls to her hair and she can't help but notice how long it really has gotten. She fluffs the curls that fall along her shoulders, turning her head while looking in the mirror until she's satisfied.

She grabs the dress she has placed on her bed and slips it on. She prays to God she looks as good as she feels. She doesn't even know how it looks on her for Christ sake. Stepping in front of the mirror she thanks God for what she sees. The dark dress fits perfectly as it clings to her like second skin. It's stops directly above her knees with a small slit in the back. It's form fitting material pushes against her chest that shows more than she wants but she doesn't have time to get picky. Her hour glass figure seems to be enhanced and she can't believe she's thinking it but she hopes Elliot likes it. He's already openly told her she's beautiful. She wonders what he'll think when he sees her in this dress. Checking her phone she knows he'll be showing up soon. She puts on her tan heels, sprays perfume around her body then takes a final look in her mirror. She's more than happy with the outcome after she puts on sliver ears and a necklace that rest perfectly on her chest.

Minutes later he's knocking on her door then adjust his tie while on the other side. She a little nervous and she yells "I'll get it." For some reason she doesn't know why. Lucy can clearly get it.

She is in the living room playing cards with Noah. She walks out with a small clutch in her hands that holds her phone and a few things in case she has to touch up her make up.

"Wow, you look pretty mom." Noah say when she comes into view.

"So I don't always look pretty?" She ask him jokingly.

"Of course you do."

"Thank you sweetie." She bends to place a kiss on his nose. She laughs when she hears a dragged out "Mommm" because she leaves lipstick on his face.

"You look great, Liv." Lucy tells her.

"Thank you."

She opens the door and both of them smile when the lay eyes on each other. He's there in a classic black and white suit. His face lights up as he takes a glimpse at her.

"Hey"

"Hi, Elliot." He hears her son scream before she has a chance to greet him.

"Well we should get going. Noah be good for Lucy."

They walk side by side making their way out of the building and his eyes doesn't leave her body for a second. The dark red sits perfectly on her skin that's illuminated by the building lights. He knows that it's obvious that he's staring but he doesn't care. She tried to make it seem like she doesn't know he's watching but it's hard to hide because he's causing her skin to burn red.

She avoids his eyes until they are in the parking lot of her building. She follows behind him as he leads her to his car which is only a few steps away.

He opens the passenger door for her then stops to turn toward her. She isn't able to go around him due to another car being next to them. She has no idea what he's doing so she looks at him questioningly. This is the time he takes to really look at her. From head to toe his eyes linger over her body. The dress clings to her hugging her figure perfectly. It's all clear what's been hiding under her captain outfits. A lot has changed over the years and he's not complaining. Everything she is screams woman. Her breast what he's sure has gotten bigger and she is certainly more curved than she was back when they were partners. It adds to the want that he will always have for her.

"You look amazing, Liv." He says in the lowest tone she has ever heard from him.

She steps close to him but not close enough for their bodies to touch.

She reached for the hem of his coat jacket and tugs on it lightly.

"So do you, El." She adds with a coy smile.

Her hands briefly slides up to his chest where she rest there only for a few seconds. Her eyes follows her hands movements until she's looking him directly in his icy outer rings that are watching her intensely.

The fervent eye contact sends a subtle shudder through her that she isn't able to shake.

He stares at her passionately totally consumed by her.

Just as he did she makes it undoubtedly obvious that she's checking him out too.

"We should get going." She says with a soft voice.

He steps aside and watches her make her way into the car, then closes the door once she's seated.

There isn't much small talk during the ride. The only kind of speaking taking place is Olivia reading off directions on where to go.

After arriving they step into the building and Olivia is more than happy that everything is still together and in place. She's more than grateful that somehow Carisi found the perfect place for the party. Not too small but big enough to have an open bar and spacious enough for people to gather.

He trails behind her as he looks around at the decorated area.

He leans over her shoulder and tells her. "You did a great job decorating the place."

"Thank you, but I wasn't all me Amanda helped. We Didn't trust the guys."

He laughs then says "Understandable."

"Do you want something to drink from the bar." He ask her since there wasn't much to do at the moment.

"Uh yes please, I guess we'll just greet everyone that's already here. For some reason Fin isn't here yet."

"Okay, I'll be right back." He squeezes her shoulder before he steps away and heads toward the bar.

It isn't long until she hears Amanda calling her over to the table where she's sitting.

"Hey, Amanda you look great."

She tells her when she's stands and pulls her into a hug.

"Me? Look at you." She lowers her voice when she says "Wearing this for someone?"

"Manda." She replies without a warning but her face says otherwise.

"Where's Carisi?"

"I think he said he went to pick up the cake. He should be back anytime now he left a while ago."

Not too long after Carisi arrives Fin comes shortly after.

"He's here." Olivia says bring him in for a hug. "Hey, Phoebe"

"Hello Olivia, Elliot."

She's more than happy that Elliot had followed behind. It caught her by surprise when he wrapped an arm around her waist as he stood beside her, pulling her closer to him. He hands Olivia her glass of wine as he said hello to the couple.

The real reason she's happy is because she remembers Fin bringing up Phoebe wanting Elliot to meet her sister. She leans more into his body so hopefully she gets the picture. And maybe she does because she doesn't bother to bring it up. It has her wondering if it's even true or did he just tell her that thinking it might speed up the process of them getting together. She knows for sure Fin is bursting to ask questions seeing them like this.

Later on everyone gets accompanied and even shared words of appreciation toward Fin. Olivia also shared a few words and listened to what other had to say. The smile that was spread across his face became contagious.

She stepped away to use the restroom leaving Elliot at the table where they were sitting. He stands beside the seats left alone but not for long as the blond detective approached him.

"Detective Rollins." He says almost as if he's asking.

"Yeah, call me Amanda. So, Captain invited you." She also acts as if it's a question but she knows for sure she did.

"Yes, she did actually."

It's the first time she had a conversation with him and she feels the need to clarify somethings with him.

"She really likes you, you know. She trust you. She isn't that way with much people."

He looks at her then huffs out a breath "I know, we've been partners for a lot of years."

Long enough to know what makes her most angry, happy and what leaves her at her breaking point. But what he loves is she never gives up.

"Just do good by her she deserves it."

"I will, thank you." He says full of sincerity.

Olivia came back from the rest room and back to Elliot who was waiting patiently for her to return.

"I missed something?" She asked taking her glass from his outstretched hand.

"No."

They stood together watching the friends interact like they had done at Fin non- wedding.

"So how is undercover going."

"Well I'm nearly done. I do have a few court dates that I have to show up to but other wise farewell Eddie."

"Good, because I meant what I said when I told you I want you to come home."

Olivia stuck to her word when she told Fin it would only be an hour or two. It was a small celebration but it came out better than she had expected. Everyone that was there seemed to enjoyed their evening.

Fin and Phoebe were the first to leave thanking everyone as they left. She and Elliot did the same before leaving to take her back home.

"I'm walking you up." He said taking his key out of the ignition.

She doesn't bother protesting, she's sure he'll just insist on doing so until she gives in.

"Hmm is that because you won't be able to see anything when I blink my lights once I'm inside."

He smiles at her when he opens the door as the recollection came back to him. He constantly in the past told her to blink her lights so that he knew she was inside safe. The first time he asked her to she thought he had been joking. When she didn't he walked up to her apartment door knocked until she answered and he knew for sure she made it in okay.

"Still stubborn?" She asks him.

He replies saying "Maybe, but it's dark and late but it's the right thing to do. Besides I'm not letting you walk from this parking lot into that building alone. Especially wearing that dress."

She blushes at his flirtatious behavior.

At his lasting comment she knows for sure she has done right picking this dress. He likes it just like she hoped he would.

"Don't worry there's only one person I want looking at me in the dress." She looking him square in the face as she says it while a hand traced over his tie.

She says it more than confidently as she walks pass him. He's astonished by he bold comment.

She wants me looking at her. Either way he was definitely looking. She walked in front of him putting more sway in her hips. He managed to keep himself together until they reached her door. This woman is pure trouble.

His hand skimmed over his face and they both stopped at her door but she didn't bother to open it.

"Thank you for coming with me tonight."

"Thank you for inviting me."

He's looking down at her and she the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. He doesn't understand how he kept himself away from her for so long.

Looking up at him she sees unadulterated want and love in his eyes. It's the same look he gave her when her hand briefly touched his face the first time she told him she wanted him to come home.

His left hand holds her by her hip pulling her closer to him. His right brushes her hair back from her shoulders holding behind her neck and moved his thumb across her jawline.

She can swear she feels her heart beating against her chest. She isn't sure if she able to move but her eyes never leave his.

If she can't move from this alone who knows how she will react if their relationships moves on further.

"El…" she whispers breathlessly moving her hand along his arm that's rest on her hip until it reaches his shoulder.

They both lean into each other until their lips finally touch. The passion of the kiss surpasses every fantasy they both have ever had. He pulls her as close to him as possible as their lips move together because he can't get enough of her. Her other hand is holding her clutch but she uses the hand that's on his shoulder to hold the side of his face. They're so close she thinks she can almost feel his heart beat against her.

Their lips separate when their need for air becomes inescapable. He can hear the low pants coming from her but he doesn't let her go and neither does she.
