Luz and Azara were sitting on the floor in the living room, talking to each other, while King was playing with his stuffed animals. Eda was cooking in the kitchen.

"So, how did you end up trapped here?" Azara asked. She saw that Luz looked a little bit sad before she answered her.

"Before I came here, I was from Connecticut. I didn't exactly fit in there and didn't have a lot of friends." Luz started to explain to her. Azara listened as she continued. "I constantly got into trouble and caused disruptions because of my wild creative imaginations at school. Mi mama wanted to send me to a camp to help control it and to help me make more friends." Azara stared at Luz for a minute, thinking, before she interrupted her.

"I hate to say this, but your mom kind of sounds like a bad mom," she told her. Luz's eyes widen in surprise.

"No! I gave you the wrong idea," she quickly tried to explain. "She's a wonderful mom! It's just ever since my dad left, it's been hard for her, especially raising someone like me."

"But, still it doesn't excuse her for trying to change who you are," Azara defended. Luz stared at Azara with wide eyes before she laughed.

"Why couldn't I have met you before all of this?" she smiled. Azara smiled back at her.

"Well, maybe when we find out a way to get back together, we can hang out? So, will you be my friend?" She asked.

"I'd like that," Luz smiled as she replied. She continued to explain her story to Azara.

"That's when I met Eda when her palisman, Owlbert stole my Azura book. That's how I found out about this world and wanted to become a witch. However, Belos found out about the portal and used me to capture Eda and that's how she lost her powers and was almost petrified," Luz sighed. "It's my fault that she's like this."

"Don't be hard on yourself," Azara tried to assured her. "It's not your fault. It's his." Luz made a small smile and continued. "He wanted the portal for some reason, but I couldn't just let him have it. I don't know why he wanted but I did know that he had bad intentions, so I destroyed it. I still have the key, but with the door gone, so is my way back and that's how I'm stuck here."

"Yeah, with a cranky old lady and the king of demons!" King shouted.

"I'm not THAT old!" Eda shouted from the kitchen. Luz and Azara both giggled and laughed.

"So, will you teach me about that glyph paper magic that you do?" Azara asked. Luz nodded and pulled out several papers and some with glyphs that were drawn on them, showing them to Azara.

"From what I've learned each glyph has an elemental magic to them, like earth, fire, and ice. You can also combine them with others as well for different results, but we'll get to that later," she told her. "But, this one's is my favorite!" She began to a spell glyph on a piece of blank paper. Luz tapped the pen on the paper as she finished. Suddenly, a small ball of light began to form then floated in the air. Azara stared with wide eyes in awe. Luz popped it with her finger and the light diminished.

"Now you try!" Luz told her, holding the pen out to her. Azara took it and tried to draw a circle, as Luz had showed her.

"How do you get your circles to be so perfect?" She asked. Luz smiled.

"Practice makes perfect," she told her. "Also, Eda told me that the bigger the circle is the more powerful the spell would be. So, don't worry about not getting it on your first try-" Luz was cut off short when Azara let out a loud gasp in surprise. Luz stared in shock to see a small ball of light hovering beside Azara.

"I did it!" She exclaimed.

"Huh, it took me a whole day to learn that spell," Luz replied, still in shock. "I can't believe you got it so fast."

"Well, it's only because I have a great teacher!" Azara smiled. Luz blushed, flattered by the compliment.

"Okay, let's try something a little harder," Luz told Azara. "We're going to try an illusion glyph. Try and make more than copy of yourself! But, it's okay if you can only do one-" Something lightly tapped Luz on the top of her head. She opened her eyes and yelled in shock to see not one but two more Azara lookalikes, standing beside the real one, before the two popped and disappeared.

"Easy peasy taco breezy!" Azara smiled, excited. "What other kind of spells do you know?" Luz began to fell strange as she felt heat began to rise in her chest staring at Azara, feeling a little envious. How is she getting all of this so fast and just in one day?!

"Let's try something something harder," Luz told her. "Now, we are going to try and combine some glyphs together. Try using the water and ice glyph and make a snowball." She showed Azara as she drew the two glyphs together, surrounded by a circle. A snowball formed and Luz picked it up with a mischievous smirk and chuckled. She tossed it and plowed Azara right in the face with it. Azara sputtered and she shook the cold snow off of her.

"Think you can do it?" Luz asked. Azara nodded and tried to draw the spells then combined them together. Again, her spell activated with no problem and a snowball was made. Azara smiled before she smirked at Luz and picked up the ball of snow and tossed it right back at her in the face.

"Right back at ya!" she cheered. "What other spells do you know?"

"That's enough lessons for today," Luz snapped. Azara's eyes widen as she stared at Luz, surprised by her sudden reaction. King as well as he watched the two.

"Um, okay, well, I'm going to head out. It's such a nice day out," Azara she replied to Luz, confused, wondering if she did something wrong. She stood up and King watched as she began to head to the front door, opening it. Azara back to turned to Luz. "Thank you for the lesson. It was really fun! I can't wait for what you have to teach me next!" She softly smiled and closed the door. King turned to Luz and Eda popped her head out from the kitchen. Luz noticed the two of them staring at her.

"What?" she asked. "Why is are you two staring at me like that?"

"Why are you jealous?" King asked. Luz's eyes widen in surprise.

"I-I don't know," she told them. "Just seeing Azara do the spells without a problem, made me act that way. I feel terrible."

"Kid, I know how you feel," Eda smiled as she told her she walked over to Luz, bending down. "I felt the same way when you learned your spells as well." Luz's eyes widen in surprise.

"You did?" she asked. Eda nodded and continued.

"But, then I realized that it is the teacher's job to see their students succeed," she told Luz. "If they're doing great then that means you've done your job awesome as well." she placed her hand on Luz's shoulder, smiling. Luz nodded, understanding. When Azara gets back, she was going to apologize to her.
