After their issues with the organization, June and Emily returned to their normal life. However, before meeting with Kana's crew in Alternativa, Emily has something inspired from her visit to Hane City.
Emily said, "A little this and that I did… You'll see soon enough, soon as we arrive in my room. I rented myself a lab here in New York, to study and dabble in the scientific field."
June said, "Of course. But after that, we have to go see Koumoto."
Emily said, "It won't take long."
As they were walking, a car passed them by, as a girl in long dark blue hair and an ample chest was sitting in the front seat, next to a guy in a suit. The man said, "Did you hear that we lost one of the capos? Popo committed suicide."
"Eh?" The girl gasped.
"Fat bastard killed himself, shame, he did. So, dunno if Popo was sad because he was in prison, or that his obesity made him trapped inside the walls of his cell, leading to depression."
"The way I see it, it's the latter… minus the depression part."
"Either way, he wasn't very mentally strong. Shoved a gun barrel into his mouth, and BANG, blew his brains out."
"You sure it wasn't murder?"
"No, suicide. At least that's what the autopsy said, right? That's what the experts say."
They turned right at the light, as the girl said, "I understand… So, any news on the fortune that Popo left behind? I don't know anything about it, but I heard it from fellow capos…"
The man said, "Oh, yeah, you heard? Before Popo went to prison, he converted some of his jewels and gold. It's a hidden treasure. It's too much to deposit in the bank, and he kept it hidden from the organization. No one would be stupid enough to look for it, but now that he's dead, that fortune is up for grabs… but it's somewhere hidden away. And no one knows about it. It's said to be worth at least five billion Lire (nearly $3,000 US)."
"Five billion Lire?!" The girl gasped, and chuckled, "If I had that much money, I'd retire in style. But leaving the organization with that much cash, I couldn't."
"You said it. I'd rather work my way up. If I could get that money, I can become a capo in no time, and taste the glory of being noticeable in the ranks! But even so, finding the treasure will be tough."
"Eh? It's nowhere?"
"No one even knows, or how the story goes. Even a fatass like Popo wouldn't even go outside, on his own. Do you think he did it on his own?"
"Nah. He must've had backup. Look how small his arms are, compared to the rest!"
"Who knows? Popo did have a thing for the Hirasawa-type girls…"
"Hira-? You mean Koumoto? She has been Popo's favorite… She's one of those thugs hailing in Naples."
"That's her. And if anyone could've hidden it, it's her. Now that Popo is dead, Koumoto will step in and make her move. We want that Lire, and not her. She knows where it is, so I'm sure even her wants it."
He turned to the seat, as the girl vanished. He went wild and drove in a zig-zag. He screamed, "ASAKURA!"
He stopped the car and panicked, "Oh, man… Ryoko already left? She's after the Lire, and not me?! Well… if you're going after Koumoto, be careful… Besides, her abilities are way beyond imagination, likewise her gang."
ACT V: Episode 2 - Chapter 1: Nanao Kashima!
The Projected Geek!
June and Emily arrive at the house, as Emily said, "Okay. We should be almost there. Down here, I got a lab. You'd be amazed by what the entire world has come to, after the deaths of many…"
June said, "You're right. Beth feels upset, since Kyo died."
Emily growled, "Who cares about this runt? I'm more concerned about Tanukichi, and his ex-girlfriend (ergo, since she's dead and all)."
"So, what is the plan for Okuma?"
"Just a little experiment… And it starts with my project… My prototype."
"Prototype?"
They went into a huge room, as they saw a pod inside. The same girl in green hair was inside, as Emily said, "There she is."
"Huh?!"
June was stammering, as she asked, "Wha-? What is-?"
Emily sighed and grumbled, "Say it. Just say what it is… since it's obvious."
"A corpse?!" June cried.
Emily jeered, "EEEH! WRONG!"
She explained, "Even better. Learning from the late Kajou's perverted science, and learning how to reanimate doubles of yourself, without the use of magic, ninjutsu, or 3D printing, I created and finished my new prototype for my work."
"So, in short, she's…"
"She's an Enhanced Human Automaton… An android, if you will."
"Whoa…" June looked inside the pod and asked, "Amazing… And her boobs are so huge."
"Not that huge. I want hers to be three centimeters bigger than Kajou's. But I goofed, and gave her three inches." Emily explained, "It's no big deal. I studied the Ropponmatsus, during my time in Japan, a while back, and I learned that overuse of extra weight mass to the chest may cause issues. But luckily, I'm the one to create huge racks with lighter weight. Not silicone or that flabby memory foam, I'm going for the next thing in breast augmentations: marshmallows~!"
June groaned, "Marshmallows? They harden, you know."
"Not my marshmallows. They're inedible, but fusing marshmallow with a soft substance inside, which is made of a fibrous protein molecules called collagen, also used with cream cheese, gravy, sausages, and gelatin. Collagen is a structural molecule, most abundant in the human body, found in bones, muscles, skin, and the tendons. This is a substance that holds a body together.
And using my wits and brains, I made a new type of substance with collagen, to create a lighter and fluffier softness in a woman's body, in case they want F Cups. Collagen is safe, but it does help build a body. This girl, however, is all 100% young and lively, but her body was a bit uncontrollable. I fixed that about her. And it's all thanks to the clones of Ayame Kajou that I saw in Hane City."
She explained, "During my visit, I saw the wonders of a strip club, run and employed by clones of the same woman in long black hair, soft alabaster skin, and huge breasts… They were like the girl Okuma mentioned – Ayame Kajou."
June said, "I know about her. Mom told me of this girl, gunned down in that strip club."
Emily said, "Heartbreaking, yes. But even so, I had to examine the works of the demented and demonic powers of black magic and science, learning of a completely shocking theory. These clones are all new humans, created by life, defying god! No mechanical parts, no gears, no LED eyes, nothing! Kajou created cloning!"
June smiled, "Funny. I thought they were for sheep."
Emily grumbled, "I'm ignoring you on that remark."
She added, "No, June… While Kajou had dabbled with playing God, I will, too, but out of humane ways and technology! I will not be like Ayame Kajou, and I will NOT be like my family!"
She turned away, as June asked, "Em? You seemed a bit annoyed by what you just said…"
Emily sighed, as she whispered, "I didn't expect this… to be let out… but my pet project was built as to act human, and not be literally human. I cannot be like those that use corpses for reanimating life… AND I WILL NOT BE THE SAME HELL-BENT MAD SCIENTIST LIKE MY SODDING GRANDFATHER!"
She panted, as June gasped, "Em… No way… Emily Kathleen Maynard, you hate your own adventurer of a grandfather?! The same man that made your mother a hero in Argos?!"
Emily confessed, "He's not of my other blood… Granted, he was my grandfather… Hanemore Maynard… but… there was another… My grandfather, from my late father's side… Henry Julius Wyler."
"Wyler?"
"I was called that, before I dropped the Wyler."
"Oh… So, you're not into your other father's work? What did he do?"
Emily sighed and said, "I can't explain. It's too morbid to say. You could say that he's the equivalent of the man known as Fronkensteen!"
"You mean Frankenstein?"
"My grandfather, Doctor Henry J. Wyler, is a Fronkensteen, and I'm calling him that, because he denounces God, and BECOMES one! Besides, I heard of that name in a movie, and I liked that. Beth has family issues, likewise you, well, so do I!"
Emily calmed down and said, "But enough of that. Let me activate my project."
June said, "Okay." And then she thought, "Em's really got issues with her grandfather, on her father's side… Does Miranda Maynard know of this? There's something peculiar about Emily's past…"
Emily was typing in a key code on the keypad, and said, "Okay, here we go."
The pod opened, hissing out steam, as the figure was wearing her outfit, lying straight on the pod, and with her eyes closed. Her eyes suddenly opened, as they were light brown and shiny. She stepped out of her pod, as the android was taking her first step. June was puzzled, as she thought, "This is an android? She looks realistic. Too bad Em's not psychic like me… or she'd hear that."
Emily said, "I know what you're thinking… She's too human. But that's because I used Kajou's clone's skin diagram, over her chrome exterior, since she was originally a prototype."
June asked, "Does she even have a name?"
Emily replied, "She does." She turned to her robot, "Introduce yourself to my friend here, robot."
The girl replied in a calm robotic voice, "Why is that, master? Did you not tell her about me? I mean, you call me "robot", because you know I have a name, but she doesn't know me…"
"Well, I figured I would make it a surprise for her."
"Oh. Very well. I understand perfectly, Master."
She introduced herself, as she bowed, "Good day to you, young lady. My name is Nanao Kashima."
She stood straight up, as she asked, "And you are?"
June said, "I'm June Nevins."
Emily said, "She and I were about to go somewhere, but I figured we may need you for the first test. But it's best to introduce yourself, before we begin."
Nanao said, "Very well, Master. I understand. Forgive me for saying this, but I believe you should acquire information of the people you want me to meet."
Emily huffed, "Oh, stuff and nonsense, Kashima-san."
June said, "So, uh, Nanao… What abilities that Em built you in to? I mean, what special quirks do you have?"
Nanao pondered and said, "Accessing abilities… Well, I am an excellent archer."
"Like Aunt Erika." Emily smiled.
Nanao continued, "However, when I use the bow and arrow, aiming can be very tough. My art also acquires ninjutsu, of the healing kind, rarest of its form, as it was gained history from thousands of years ago."
She flashed her eyes and said, "Miss June Nevins. Do you wish to use my services, for anything that you attempt to do? Yes or no?"
Her breasts flashed a bit, as it showed a hologram Y and N, over her chest. She smiled and said, "Please reply to the appropriate question. Press Y here for YES, or N here for NO; or you can say-."
June blushed, "Uh, that won't be necessary…"
Emily said, "We're actually going to Alternativa, a café nearby, so we can go with a friend of ours… even if you'd call this jerk a friend…"
She muttered, as Nanao asked, "I understand. Are my services needed for this? Yes or no?"
June said, "Well, that's up to the person making the order. In short, yes, but with a maybe."
Nanao nodded, "Understood, June Nevins. Then I will be of your services. Master, tell me, does June Nevins have this sort of power like I do?"
Emily said, "Well, I never said, but… This is a very peculiar girl. Her sister, Beth, she has weird powers, too, yet the little brat is stronger than all three of us."
June barked, "HEY! I wasn't the one worried over my father, and denounced him, because he went rogue!" and then wept, "I'm overpowered by my own sister, and I can't even hold a lighter's flame for one day… only for Popo to accept me in, anyways."
Emily said, "Oh, grow up! What's done is done! You're in, and that means I have to clean up your messes from within the organization! Either way…"
She held up a briefcase and said, "Time to see what this baby can do." This was the same briefcase that she acquired from Lucca, out of payment. She explained, "Koumoto said that the parcel I took from Lucca, it's mine… as long as I join her for one mission, in debt. And since you're offering to end all druglords in the worlds, we could be unbeatable. Imagine, a NEW The Gang, with YOU as the leader… I mean, you are a Nevins, after all."
June asked, "Aren't you going to show me the device in there?"
Emily smirked, "In due time."
She turned to Nanao and said, "Now then, Kashima-san, we shou-."
Nanao was reading a manga, as she smiled, "Standby Mode in-progress…"
Emily shouted, "HEY! DON'T IGNORE ME!"
Nanao replied, "Sorry… But I was reading this cool manga. The latest volume from the hit comedy-romance series. Oh, what I wouldn't do for such a fantasy for myself…"
She was swooned down over a manga, as June said, "Great. An android who is also a dork."
Nanao was crushed heavily, as she gasped, "A DORK?!"
Emily sighed, "I think she meant… You're a nerd."
Nanao said, "Error… I am an otaku. I am Nanao Kashima. I am an otaku."
June said, "My point exactly… I'm saying if you will assist our business."
Nanao replied, "Will you make me join you? Affirmative, June Nevins."
She insisted, "On one condition. This The NEW Gang intrigues me. Should I assist, then if we succeed, would you let me join this The NEW Gang? Yes or no?"
Emily asked, "What are you saying?"
Nanao said, "Let me make it clear. From what I overheard, before my sensors went to standby, you are to clean up the town, free of druglords. Perhaps this is where The NEW Gang steps in. If you want to have this THE New Gang, you may need my addition. Nanao Kashima joins The NEW Gang; yes or no."
Emily turned to June and said, "Well? It's your mess. You get the call on this, Leader."
June extended her hand and said, "It's not a YES, but it's close to it, by saying… … …I, June Nevins, have a dream."
Nanao nodded, as she shook her hand. She spoke, "Ah. The confirmation confirmed. Should we win, I, Nanao Kashima, will join The NEW Gang."
She put on a pair of glasses and said, "OH! You're speaking of the line… I, June Nevins, have a dream! Like in JoJo Golden Wind. Giorno Giovanna had a dream, and he always says that line, whenever he's close to succeeding his dream, as the main hero of the anime series. They just released a new anime adaptation, a while back, and ended, last month."
Emily barked, "HEY! Save your anime nerd wet dreams for a convention, robot! Now you're going with us, and NO exceptions!"
Nanao nodded, "Understood, Master. My apologies if my knowledge of anime and manga are a disturbance in the ways of your intellectual fields. I, however, run nicely, as my boobs are soft and squishy, made of-, OH! Is that collagen that made my huge boobs bounce for joy? Such girth and mass, and with light weight amount. And my chest, abdomen, and shoulders are very light like a feather, though I am made of titanium and steel, with a few electrodes and diodes inside me. She felt her breasts, and blushed in embarrassment. Emily griped, "Oh, god… I think I created an assistant. She's no monster, but she's a Brainiac… like me…"
June smiled, "What's wrong with that? She could be your assistant."
Emily barked, "NEVER! Emily Maynard works for science, ALONE! For Argos! For my Mommy! FOR SCIENCE!"
She pointed to the heavens, and called out, "HEAR THAT, GRANDPA HENRY?! A pox on your deviltry of reanimation!"
June sighed, "If you say so…"
Nanao asked, "Oh, what does this mean… I would be Master's assistant?"
Just then, the doorbell rang, as Emily said, "I wonder who it could be."
She called, "YOU TWO! Stay here! And, uh, get to know each other."
She stepped off, as Nanao said, "June Nevins. It's an honor working for you. But since it's just us three, should we invite more?"
June said, "Not yet. First, I have to help Koumoto on an important task, and then we'll add more members. Yes, three is plenty, but not enough. I'll see about asking Beth to join in… though, I don't think Emily would accept her. Besides, she's still sore over losing a tooth, thanks to her."
Nanao asked, "Beth Nevins? She lost a tooth?"
"No, Em did… and forcefully pulled it out, by the roots."
Nanao was perplexed, as she analyzed the situation. She beeped, "Conclusion of Master being yanked off tooth, by force: SHOCKING!"
Emily answered the door, as she said, "Yes? What can I-?"
She gasped, as she dropped onto her butt. It was Kana. She asked, "Emily Maynard?"
Emily shivered, "Ye-ye-ye-ye… Yes?"
Kana said, "Is June Nevins in here?"
Emily replied, "Yes. She's with me, and I was just-. AHEM!"
She begged, "PLEASE DON'T KILL ME, PLEASE!"
Kana sighed, "Calm down. It's nothing serious. Please… Show me to Miss Nevins, in case I want to know if she has proof…"
Emily moaned, "Okay… But… I have a request, if you're interested."
Kana said, "Yes… What is it?"

Kana met with Nanao in the room, as Nanao bowed, "You must be Kana Koumoto. My name is Nanao Kashima, and I am a creation of Emily Kathleen Maynard, my master."
Kana asked, "An android?"
Nanao nodded, "Kana Koumoto, I trust you, since you know my master. I wish to offer my support for your organization, Kana Koumoto."
She asked, "So, am I suitable for your team, like Miss June Nevins? Yes or no?"
Her letters flashed, as Kana was stunned. She whispered, "Good lord…"
June said, "Never mind her." And then showed the badge from Popo to Kana.
Kana nodded, and then said, "Very good. But I suppose that you are trustworthy. As for these two, I believe you needed a crew of your own. This NEW Gang as you call it, it's still green. Uh, no offense, Miss Kashima."
Nanao huffed, "Too late." Fluffing her long green hair.
Kana said, "Va bene… She's in, the android. If she's trustworthy as you think, she's welcome to the familgia. Do not disgrace me, Maynard."
Emily bowed frantically, "Y-Y-Yes, Miss Koumoto!"
Kana smirked, "We leave for Alternativa, right now. I came to pick you guys up. It's close by, so we got a lot to talk about, before we go meet my team."
June said, "Very well."
Kana agreed to welcome June, Emily, and Nanao to the team. She then stated, "BUT! Under no circumstances you breathe a word of your past follies towards the other capos and my crew. Remember, traitors will not go unpunished."
Nanao replied, "Affirmative, Kana Koumoto. I will follow the rules. I obey. Will I be useful? Yes or no?"
Kana walked off, as June and Emily followed. Nanao asked, "Answer me! Will I be useful? Yes or no?!" and followed the others to Alternativa.
Minutes later, Kana explained her role in the organization, as the others followed.
"June, the badge you have, it's the name of the organization… Alternativa."
Nanao asked, "Permit me, Kana Koumoto, but isn't Alternativa the café, where we're heading?"
Kana replied, "Yes. However, it's also the local rest spot for every member of the organization of the same name. First, there are groups made of six to ten underlings, like my team… which has only three. You three will be a part of my team. Then there are capos, like Popo, who command those teams. They reign over a particular region, making it their turf. These teams include specialty teams, from drug cartel to assassinations. Despite that I am happily joined by them, I refuse to let myself be involved with those teams, or their capos."
June asked, "But capos are NOT leaders, right? You have a boss."
Kana said, "Exactly. The one who stands at the top is the boss. The boss only has contact with the trustworthy subordinate that he considers his right hand man, though, we have no way of knowing who or where he or she is…
Gang members in this area hate standing out, as it leads them to their death, if wide open. So even capos will dress casually to blend in with the crowd. And that goes for jobs, as well… Even the boss has a side job, and yet he or she would never reveal what. Strictly confidential."
Nanao asked, "So, would we get close to your mysterious boss? Yes or no? I have a feeling that we may be closer to the boss, if we play ball, Kana Koumoto."
Kana said, "Well, if we're to stop the boss, we need to gain trust in the organization. But we can't, without someone to get acknowledged with. And seeing your history of a Gang, as you put it, we can have you climb up to the position of capo. Of course, just you, Maynard, and the android isn't enough. You need more than that, if you want to defeat the boss. I will take you three to Alternativa, and meet the crew."
Nanao replied, "I have a name, Kana Koumoto."
Kana stated, "Unless you want to follow what I say, being you're Maynard's doll… Speak, when you're being told! But… I won't say your name, yet. Not after you get to know your temps."
Nanao said, "Understood. I will do as you ask, Kana Koumoto."
Kana barked, "And will you STOP saying my full name?"
Emily said, "She's not used to speaking in the first person to others, yet."
June said, "We're not going to win, are we?"
The girls continued walking, as they head to Alternativa, to meet with their crew members. Next time, we meet the gang of Kana Koumoto's crew.
