Last time, the Alternativa team was successful in retrieving the treasure from Popo, who was killed secretly by June. The Ten Billion Lire fortune was taken by one of the capos, and in the process, Kana Koumoto became a capo.
Now that the issues and problems with Kana are now over, June & Emily, alongside Nanao, returns home to America, to form their own team, and return to Italy, joining Alternativa. Only Beth reluctantly joined, but what of the others?

Tanukichi asked, as June talked with him, "A mob? Are you serious?"
June nodded, "I, June Nevins, have a dream."
He barked, "Why say that?! You didn't answer my question! Why the hell are you joining the mafia?"
She replied, "Look, not that it's any of your business, I'm doing this to make peace in the world. I want to eliminate the boss, in order to stop the mafia from selling drugs to kids. I plan to be its boss, by going up the rankings!"
He stated, "But do you realize that you're in suicide territory? You'll be killed in seconds flat!"
"I'll be fine. Beth said that she'll join, thanks to some persuasion."
Beth called, "Liar! You bashed my head in!"
June stated, "She refused, at first."
She offered, "Look, I'm not forcing you to do anything, but I want you to get over yourself on Ayame Kajou's death. The last thing I wanted is a pouty boy who has nothing left, after the DNC disbanded. Your former crush died, your girlfriend died, everyone you sided with died, big deal! BIG FUCKING DEAL! It's not the end of the world!"
She stated, "I'm not forcing you to… I'm not Ayame Kajou… You were from a faction that wants to erase lewdness. I, however, want to erase drugs to kids. Understand me? I'm not just asking you, I'm telling you. Besides, think of it as a fresh new start to redeem yourself from society."
He replied, as he was sad, "June, you're right… You can't force me, but… This team you're forming… Count me out."
He walked off, as he said, "But thanks."
June was worried, as Beth hissed, "Smooth."
June growled, "Okuma…"
Beth held her and said, "Stop it. He's been through a lot. I think you played the Kajou Card, to prevent him from joining you. Can't you see he's been through enough suffering, after Kajou died?"
She stated, "Leave well enough alone! He won't join, fine!"
She walked away, as June sighed, following her, "You're right. It was a thought… but I made a mistake. I wonder how Em is doing, so far…"
Episode III – Chapter 1: A Maynard Legacy!
The Second Life of Emily Maynard!
Emily Kathleen Maynard, born in Argos, England, she is the daughter of the legendary hero, Miranda Maynard. It was at this moment in her life, Emily grew up to be into her memoirs of success.
Emily was only 2, as she hugged her father, who died in bed.
Emily's father, Gerhalt Wyler, died when she was just a child of only 2. In his dying breath, he told her that her mother was a great hero, but upon her sister's death, she put the sword down, and retired to be a housewife. At the time, Miranda was still unsure of her duty, and decided to start a family. Emily always knew that Miranda was a great hero in Argos, thanks to the training she had received.
Emily was training with Haruna Hiyashi, as they started to practice Kung Fu.
By the time Emily turned 10, she was given a chance in life, as Miranda offered Emily to continue the Maynard legacy. Trained by her friend, Haruna Hiyashi, one of the Chosen Choujin, Emily learned the art of self-defense, and even learned how to use the sword and shield, much as her mother had. Upon her training, she has easily mastered the sword, but with little success. But as time went on, Emily finally learned how to fight, especially for herself.
Emily was looking into her father's stuff, as she found her grandfather's book.
But… Emily would learn of a tragic past that even Miranda doesn't know about. Gerhalt's father, Henry Julius Wyler, was a mad scientist, dedicated to reviving human life, through science, defying God. This, somehow, angered Emily so that she denounced the Wyler name, her birthname, and stayed on as a Maynard. She even vowed to herself, as she did not forward this to anyone, especially to her Mom.
"My father was a quack! I refuse to accept his bizarre and uncanny lifestyle! I will NEVER be like him! I am my Mum's lineage, and NOT my father's! FOR ARGOS! NOT FOR SCIENCE! I WILL NOT DEFY GOD!"
But by the time Emily entered junior high, she had been a very great student, earning A's and B's in her report card. But the shocker was that Emily was an A-Plus… … …in Science.
Emily's grandfather, Henry Julius Wyler, was a demented old man, but a brilliant mind. He was a modern-day version of Dr. Victor Frankenstein, and was able to reanimate human tissue that was dead back to life. Emily, who had denounced the Wyler Family name, suddenly had a jolt of inspiration, and a sudden love for science. She suddenly became a well-known scientific mind, in all of England. While she's at a young age, Emily Maynard's brilliant mind was a sight to behold, as it also led to her success as not only the daughter of an adventurer, but the greatest genius in all of the United Kingdom. Of course, Emily never put away the sword. She would use her newfound knowledge and combat skills, and create her own legacy – a legacy that Emily Maynard follows through, as Maynard Blood makes her a worthy warrior, even with brains or brawn. This was Emily Maynard's path to success.
At a local university, Emily was giving a lecture to an audience of students.
"If we look at the base of a brain, which has just been removed from the skull, there's very little mid-brain than we actually see. Yet, as I demonstrated in a lecture, last week, if the under aspects of the temporal lobes gently pull apart, the upper portion of the stem of the brain can be seen… the so-called brainstem… consists of the mid-brain, a rounded contusion called the pons. And a stalk tapering downwards called the medulla oblongata… which passes out of the skull, through the foramen magnum, and becomes, of course, the spinal cord."
She drew a diagram of the brain and its features, inside the human body. She then said, "Any questions, before we proceed?"
A male student in black hair and glasses asked, "I have a question, Dr. Wyler."
Emily stopped, as she growled, "My name is Maynard, not Wyler."
"Beg your pardon?"
"My name is Emily Maynard… NOT Wyler."
"But aren't you the granddaughter of the famed Dr. Henry Julius Wyler, the man who was a modern-day Frankenstein, who dug up freshly buried corpses from the cemeteries, and transforms dead components int-?"
"YES! YES!" She called, and laughed, "That is my grandfather… But he's from my father's side. My mother was a great hero in Argos! And I chose to set aside the sword, for science! But we all know what he did… and even if he did, it was a movie. But I rather be remembered for my small contributions of science… and not because of my tainted branch in my family tree… to a famed… nut."
The students giggled, as Emily was washing her hands. She then asked, "Now, if you don't mind, you have a question, correct?"
The boy said, "Ahem! Yes, ma'am… I don't understand the theory between reflexive and voluntary nerve impulses."
She replied, "Ah, good question. Since our lab work today will be the demonstration of just that instinction, we shall proceed."
She summoned Nanao, as she brought a man in, covered in a tarp. Emily said, "Miss Kashima is bringing in the subject, right away. Mr. Hilton here, whom is a patient in the local infirmary, near this university…"
she muttered, "…of whom I do not work with…"
she continued, "…has graciously offered his services to perform this demonstration. Mr. Hilton, please hop onto position."
The man in gray hair stood up and was in his hospital gown. Emily bowed and said, "Now, he may be a bit frail, but even the weakest of muscles can be reflexive. Mr. Hilton, please move your left knee up."
He lifted his knee up, and then she said, "Now, this is simply voluntary nerve impulse. When someone tells you to lift your hand up, for example, you move it. It begins as a stimulus of the cerebral cortex, passes through the brainstem, and to the particular muscle involved."
He put his knee down, as she continued, "Reflexive Nerve Impulse is quite different. It is those which are made independently at will. But are carried out along pathways between the peripheral nervous system and the central nervous system…"
POW!
She kicked him in the gut, as the students gasped. However, she feigned contact, and smiled. She explained, "Note the movement he made, as I assaulted him. But it does not hurt. But we are not aware of these impulses. Neither do we intend to carry out our contradiction of the muscles, yet as you can see, they work by themselves. But what if we are to block those impulses, by simply applying local pressure? …which can be done with any ordinary metal clamp."
Nanao gave Emily a metal knife, and Emily resumed, "Thank you, Kashima. Just at the swelling of the posterior nerve roots… for, oh say, five or six seconds…"
She waited seconds, as Emily waited. She turned to Mr. Hilton and kicked him in the gut with her knee, this time, it connected. But he does not feel it. She then said, "As you can see, all communication is shut off. In spite of our mechanical magnificence, if it were NOT for this continuous stream of motor impulses, we would've collapsed like a bunch of dominoes!"
They applauded, as Nanao removed the clamp, and placed Mr. Hilton back in bed, mildly in pain. Emily said, "In conclusion, it should be noted, that any more than a common injury to the nerve root is always serious. That is because once a nerve fiber is severed, then there is no way possible that we could regenerate the life back from it. Now, any last questions, before we adjourn?"
The same boy called, "Yes, Dr. Maynard… Isn't it true that Darwin placed a piece of Vermicelli into a glass case, until I actually started to move in a voluntary motion?"
Emily thought, "This again? Bloody little…"
She replied, "Uh… are you speaking of the worm, or the pasta?"
"Why, the worm, ma'am."
"Yes, as a matter of fact, I have read that this such thing occurred, during my days in Elementary School. However, a worm, with very few exceptions, is NOT human. But it is a living creature."
The boy asked, "But wasn't that the whole basis of your grandfather's work?"
She asked, "Excuse me?"
"The reanimation of dead tissue? Why, you said it was only a movie, correct?"
"I have two grandfathers… my grandfather from Mom's side was a hero to the land… but my father's father, my second grandfather, was a daffy old fart. And he was a sick man…"
The boy asked, "But the whole bringing the dead back to life thing, doesn't it ever intrigue you in any way, being you're a Wyler, almost more than your Maynard lineage? I mean, you never knew much about your grandfather, Dr. Wyler, since you were just a child."
She stated, "My grandfather was a lunatic, and an old bag of bones! He is a loony! You are talking about a nonsensical raving of a mind that is knee-deep in Arkham Asylum! DEAD is DEAD!"
"But look what happened with hearts and kidneys, today."
"Mere tinker toys! That's what they are… but they do save lives, not revive lives. And I am talking about the central nervous system!"
She bellowed, "I AM A SCIENTIST! I AM NOT LIKE MY GRANDFATHER! THAT GRANDFATHER IS A CRAZY NUT, COMPARED TO MY OTHER GRANDFATHER, WHO IS A LEGEND BEYOND TIME, TOLD IN THE GREAT ARGOS TOMES! Look!"
She grabbed a scalpel and shouted, "You have more chances of reanimating this scalpel, than to revive human tissue, or mending a broken nervous system!"
He asked, "But what about your grandfather's work? Didn't he hand it to your father?"
"MY FATHER DIED, WHEN I WAS 2! AND HE AGREED FROM MUM THAT HIS FATHER'S WORK WAS COMPLETE BOLLOCKS!"
The students gasped, as Emily complained, "I am a scientist, NOT a philosopher! I am NOT like those mad scientists in these ridiculous B-Films or famed-slash-flopped science fiction movies! I am not interested in death! The only thing that concerns me, more than death, is the preservation of life!"
STAB!
She inadvertently stabbed herself in the thigh, as she cringed a bit. The students were in a complete hush, as Emily gulped and said, withstanding the pain, "Class… dismissed…"
The students leave, as Emily pulled out the scalpel from her thigh. She moaned, "Ungh… that stings…"
A man approached her with a box, as the class was leaving, "Excuse me, are you Gerhart Wyler's daughter?"
Emily said, "Yes, but I'm referred to be only called Miranda Maynard's daughter… thank you."
He introduced himself, wearing a black suit, "My name is Stuart Heinrich, and I traveled 5,000 miles to meet you here… to give you the will of your grandfather, Henry Julius Wyler."
"You don't say…" Emily said, "And this will reflect me how?"
"Well, during his work, he even recreated his life's work, here in America. As a matter of fact, from what I hear, from your mother, Miss Maynard, Dr. Wyler was once a friend of the recently deceased Pastor Clifton Nevins."
Emily was stunned, as she thought in disbelief, "My grandfather… knew June's grandfather?"
XXXXX
That evening, Emily called June, as she explained to her what happened today.
June asked, "WHAT? My grandfather knew your grandfather?"
Emily said, "I know… but it's so sudden. He did his work, right here, in America… after he left England. And he left everything to his grandchild, just to continue the legacy of the Wylers. But… I'm not like him… I'm a Maynard, and granted I was a Wyler, before Mom changed my name. She didn't even know about the whole science fiasco… well, other than that nice Old Man Potter…"
"You really got to step out, more often. You're becoming a shut-in."
"I am not a shut-in! Besides, Maynard blood flows within me, not Wyler blood. I was busying being a guest lecturer in a local university, and this man gave me the will to his entire career. I can't refuse, but I should…"
"Then do it! If it'll get it off your back, do it!"
Emily sighed, "I don't know… Anyways, how about you?"
June sighed, "Terrible… I tried to talk Tanukichi into joining my team."
"And?"
"He said NO. Apparently, this Kajou girl is drawn within him. I don't suppose you could revive her, just to-."
"NO!" Emily barked, "I'm NOT a Frankenstein!" And then she calmed down and said, "I'm sorry… It's a swell idea, but I just couldn't. It might not be the same, since I was in Hane City, seeing her face in every clone. He misses her, that's all. I say you mucked up on recruiting Tanukichi, but… You're going to have to do better than that, just to convince him."
June said, "Yeah, I know… Try as I might, I want to help out Kana, more than anything."
Emily huffed, "Whatever. This is a lousy idea, being in a mob, just to cleanse the world of drugs. Anyways, I'm going to be gone to Hane City, this weekend, and I'm bringing Nanao. You want to come with?"
June said, "Sounds fair. I want to see the interior of the place, but NO on the lap dances. You know I'm underage."
Emily snorted, as she was annoyed, "I don't even own the bloody place. I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight."
"Good night."
She hung up, as she read the will of her grandfather. She sighed, as she was sitting by her chair. "First, I help a girl become a capo, now I'm going to be a Frankenstein… Just great…"
The next day, Emily was riding down a train to Hane City, which is where Tanukichi Okuma resides in, as owner of Club Tundra, the strip club once manned by the late Ayame Kajou. The train stopped, as it arrived in Hane City. She saw a boy in overalls, and a shoeshine kit, and asked, "Pardon me, boy! Is this the Hane City Choo-Choo?"
The shoeshine boy called, "Yeah! Track 69! Can I give you a shine?"
Emily replied, "No, thank you." And then she proceeded to step out of the train.

Minutes later, she was carrying her suitcase out of the station, as a woman in a black hood appeared behind her. She asked, "Dr. Wyler?"
Emily turned to her and asked, "Uh… Maynard, actually…"
The woman said, "I see… And you changed your name to Maynard."
"No, that's my Mum's doing, after my dad died."
"Do you also change your first name?"
"No. It's Emily… It always has been…"
She held her hand and said, "Indeed. You came alone…"
"No. I have Nanao in my case." Emily showed a huge crate, with Nanao inside. She stated, "I don't think the people are ready to accept androids as people, not yet at least."
"Well, why couldn't you go to Targus City?"
"I'm in an important task! I'm rather busy!"
The woman said, "Very well…"
She extended her hand, which has black nail polish on, and said, "You must be Mr. Okuma's guest…"
"Yes. And you must be-?"
"I have no name…" she held her robe, "I am nothing but a vacant vessel…"
Emily asked, "Uh… You were sent here by Mr. Henrich."
The woman said, "Yes. From what I hear, your grandfather, the Wyler, befriended the pastor, Clifton Nevins. However, my father met your grandfather, long before he passed away."
She chuckled, "How nice… Uh, I was going to Club Tundra, no… Oops…"
The woman said, "It's alright. It's on the way to where I am going… but…"
She undid her hood, revealing long black hair, with dark purple eyes and pale skin. She stated, "Allow me to carry your bags."
She carried her bags, as Emily opened up Nanao's case. She activated her and said, "Forgive me. But she's usually off, whenever in travels."
Nanao moaned, as she said, "Huh… Where am I?"
"Hane City." Emily said.
"Why did you deactivate me?"
"I had enough for one ticket."
The woman said, "Here, I set you up a ride." She showed a huge pick-up truck and added, "You'll be riding with a couple more passengers in the rear. Mr. Heinrich thinks you'd have more company."
Emily hopped in, as she asked, "Company? Well, I was waiting for my friends and-."
Nanao gasped, "June Nevins, what a surprise!"
Emily gasped, as she looked at June and Beth, in the car. June blushed, "Sorry… We were about to meet you, but-."
Beth barked, "This creepy lady came to us first and stuffed us in the vehicle!"
Emily sighed, as she was in contempt, "Well, what a surprise… I asked June to come with, and you bring her!"
Beth huffed, "So? I chose to come with, but not for your inane gay romps."
June whispered, "Beth, shush!"
Emily hopped in, as does Nanao, and the woman drove off. Emily asked, "So, this woman… Do you know of her?"
June shook her head, "No. I'm sorry. But she does seem awfully familiar."
Beth replied, "You said it. Reminds me of that creepy lady… But still…"
Nanao said, "Emily Maynard, I detect that this woman is-. Data unknown."
Emily said, "You don't know, either."
June responded, "I asked, but she never answered."
Emily asked, "So, I heard… OH! Hey, June… I never asked… How did you gain these dark powers you possess? Is it because of your abilities to see through the future?"
June sighed, saying nothing. Beth said, "She's not in the mood. She doesn't like to talk about what happened, long ago. She was once possessed by an evil spirit, and she's learned to control her dark powers and psychic energies."
Emily said, "So do you."
Beth stated, "No, not me. I've already got psychic energy…"
"But you just said-."
The car stopped, as the woman said, "Well, ladies, there it is… … …Home."
They viewed the back entrance to Club Tundra, as they stepped out. But as they stepped out, the woman redid her hood, and then vanished in the darkness. Nanao turned around, and then whispered, "This woman… Her analysis is unknown… Who is she?"
Emily opened the back door, but it was locked. She knocked on the door, as Beth viewed the front entrance, seeing poses of Ayame Kajou, a woman in black hair and a busty figure.
"What knockers…" Beth whispered. She gave a thumbs-up to the 4th wall, "Don't come natural."
June called, "BETH!"
Beth ran back, as June said, "Idiot. You know you cannot go to the front entrance."
Nanao said, "Only Master is a legal guardian, being she's 19."
Emily replied, "I'm fine. It's-."
Tanukichi answered it, as he asked, "Oh, Emily? What brings you here?"
Emily said, "I thought I'd visit you for the weekend. Never mind the rabble-rousers behind me…"
Nanao boomed, "I am not a rabble-rouser!"
He asked, "Oh, who's she?"
Emily said, "This is Nanao Kashima. She's an android that I created."
Nanao bowed, "I am Nanao Kashima. It's an honor to meet you, Tanukichi Okuma."
Okuma said, "Oh… Uh, thanks…" They shook hands, as he looked at her chest.
She blushed, as she said, "What? Is it rude to stare there? If you are staring at my breasts, give me an honest opinion: Did my master made my boobs bigger? YES or NO?"
He stammered, as Emily panicked, "AH! AH! HA! KASHIMA-SAN?!"
She scolded her, "RUDE! Just because he's a pervert-!"
Beth barked, "Oh, can it, Emily! The robot's soft for her cans and jugs! Uh… not related to the steel tin cans, you know…"
Nanao blushed, "Master, are my boobs that small…?"
Emily barked, "Who's the biggest chest in this group?"
"June Nevins is average, likewise you, while Beth Nevins is just a kid."
"Exactly. Now shut up about your tits!" And then swatted Nanao's bust with the back of her hand.
"Understood…" Nanao blushed, "But I'm jealous of those with big breasts…"
June & Beth thought, completely annoyed, "How insecure can you get?"
He smiled, "Well, since you're all here, come along. I'll show you girls around."
They all stepped inside, as they were viewing the building, from inside. As the door slammed shut, the woman appeared in the front of the entrance and said, "It has begun… Fate will change everything…"
Inside the club, Tanukichi was showing the others around. They arrived at a room, next to Tanukichi's room. This was Ayame's room, before he sealed it off. Beth said, "This room… It says that we're not allowed in."
"This is where Ayame died…" he explained, "Here, lemme show you…"
He opened the door, as Nanao whispered, "Amazing… Satin walls and such naughty props…"
Ayame's room was all satin with a vanity mirror and a couple of sex toys. It even has soft carpeting, which includes her outline from two years ago, when she was gunned down. Beth looked at the outline, "This must be her final spot… before the death…"
June said, "Beth, stay away from the crime scene!"
Emily said, "So, this is where she died…" and then she viewed a portrait of a man in balding brown hair and a mustache. She gasped, as she viewed his picture. The others were in disbelief, as she whispered, "No way…"
He said, "Yeah, Ayame told me that she found this musty portrait, when she did a little remodeling… She said something like…"
Ayame explained to Tanukichi, "This portrait is perfect for my quarters! Why, it's got an old man that is such an elderly handsome devil! He's a father I like to fuck~!"
June hissed, "She would say that…"
Nanao nodded, "I concur."
Emily looked on, and whispered, "Grandfather?"
June asked, "Huh? You mean… This is-?"
Emily nodded and said, "Dr. Henry Julius Wyler."
They were speechless, as Beth chimed in, "Now that's interesting!"
To be continued…
