Andy walked out of Sullivan's office smiling from ear to ear. She had everything she wanted and hoped for. She had her dream job and she had the man she loved. She was so happy she forgot about what had happened just minutes before during line up. She wasn't reminded of it until she saw Maya standing at the bottom of the stairs. She took a deep breath before walking down taking on step at a time not making eye contact with the person, she considered her best friend. Andy just brushed past Maya and walked into the barn to begin taking inventory with Vic and Travis.

Sometime went by and they hadn't received any calls so they took that as an opportunity to clean the station. Andy, Vic and Travis were wiping down the aid car when Maya walked up.

"Andy…can we talk?" she croaked out causing Vic and Travis to look between her and Andy who continued to wipe down the door. "Andy, please…let me…" she began

"Let you what exactly? Let you explain? You want me to stand here and let you my quote on quote best friend, explain to me why you took information that I trusted you with, twisted it and started rumors about me and my boss." Everyone's attention was focused on this confrontation, even Sullivan came out his office to see what was happening. He thought about stopping it, but he knew he shouldn't get in the middle. Partially because he didn't want Andy to yell at him, but also because if he went around showing any form of favoritism to Andy or any resemblance of protecting her, he would only feed into the rumors and jeopardize both their jobs, so he just stayed silent.

"You see Maya, you got it wrong. Sullivan didn't bench me because I broke his heart, or because he broke mine. I got benched because I wasn't insubordinate. I was rude to my commanding officer and I got benched for it, and frankly I deserved it so yes I got benched for a week, but it wasn't because of some love affair that you are making up in your sick, twisted mind." Andy spat going back to wiping the car. I mean who could blame her for going off on Bishop like that. She betrayed Andy's trust, everyone was team Andy on this one, no matter how interested they were into finding out what was going on between Andy and their Battalion Chief.

Everyone stood there shocked after what just transpired. They all expected Sullivan to call both Bishop and Herrera to his office for a meeting, but instead he just went back to his paper work.

"Some things just need to be said," Travis whispered to Vic

Just then the alarm went off, they were being called to an apartment fire. Bishop and warren were on aid car, Miller, Montgomery, and Hughes were on ladder, leaving Sullivan on engine with Gibson and Herrera. They all suited up and made their way to the scene.

"Hey, are you okay?" Sullivan asked Andy who was gripping the steering wheel like her life depended on it.

"Yup, I'm perfect." She said flashing him a smile. He knew she was lying but the way her face always lit up when talking to him just made her melt. It didn't matter how angry she was with everyone else when she would talk directly to him her whole demeanor changed.

It wasn't too much longer before they arrived at the scene of the fire. The entire crew got out of their respective vehicles and made their way to their captain waiting for instructions.

"Herrera, I want you running this call today, I'll be here only if you need me," Sullivan said stepping aside so Andy could take his place.

"Okay Sir. I want Hughes and Miller and Sullivan begin evacuation for the lower floors. Montgomery and Gibson begin containment, Bishop and Warren stay on aid car be ready for injuries." Herrera said

"You heard your captain, let's move people," Sullivan yelled causing them all to run to their respective tasks.

The team had been in the building for about 10 minutes when Herrera began checking in," Montgomery, Gibson, how's that fire looking?" she said into the radio

"It hasn't jumped floors we are getting out what we can with extinguishers, but we may need some back up soon." Gibson replied

"Okay keep me updated" "Evac Team how is evac going?"

"We are clearing out the last floor now. Not many people live in this apartment, so it shouldn't take long, captain." Sullivan said into his radio

"Perfect, when evac is done I want you all on hoses to help Montgomery and Gibson, copy?"

"Copy" Hughes replied

Everything was going well. Herrera was feeling good about this call. This wasn't the first call she took lead on but it felt like it.

"Captain, we have a vic here, Male around 50, smoke inhalation and2nd degree burns all over his body we are bringing him out."

"Copy Montgomery" "Warren, Bishop get a gurney ready for Montgomery's vic." Andy yelled

The team was successful in getting the fire out, Warren and Bishop were taking their vic to Grey Sloan and everyone else got out of the building alive.

"Good job, Herrera" each of her friends came up to her and said. The last was Sullivan who wrapped his arm around her shoulder pulling her into his side. "I'm proud of you" he whispered before walking over to the engine. This left a smile on Andy's face. She knew he wouldn't say that unless she actually did well.

The rest of the shift went by quietly, no major calls, just minor injuries for aid car, which was good it gave the rest of the crew time to finish cleaning and Sullivan time to finalize the paper work for Andy's promotion. She would still have to take the tests but those were just to make the board feel good they weren't necessary. It was around 6:00 when shift came to an end. Andy quickly changed out of her uniform and went up to Sullivan's office.

"Hey," she said as she walked in closing the door behind us

"Hey, what's up?" He said as he put his last piece of paperwork in the folder to mail

"I'm excited for tonight," she said closing the blinds and taking a seat on the edge of his desk so that she was between his legs

"Oh yes? Me too," he said placing a hand on her thigh running it up and down. When his hand reached her upper thigh, she placed her hand on top of his to stop it.

"What?" he asked confused

"Nothing" she said with a smile moving to sit on his lap, taking his face in her hands moving it to the side so she could access his neck. Sullivan let out a deep quiet moan when she found the spot that drove him crazy. That only turned her on more, and she continued to kiss on neck.

"You know if we keep going, we are going to miss dinner." He struggled to get out.

Andy turned and gave him on more passionate kiss before getting up and walking to the door, "See you tonight, Chief" she said.

Sullivan sat there with a smile plastered on his face. What was he going to do? Andy had him wrapped around her finger.

He quickly got up and went home to shower and change into something nice before going to pick Andy up. Andy on the other hand was sifting through her closet looking for something. She had probably tried on 6 different outfits. She felt a wave of sadness overtake her. This is something she would go to her best friend about, but right now they were not on speaking terms. After about half an hour trying to find something to wear, she decided on a blue fitted dress. She remembered Robert telling her his favorite color was blue and that he like that dress. She heard a knock on the door checked herself in the mirror one last time, left a note for Maya on the counter and opened the door.

"Woah…" Andy had managed to render Robert Sullivan speechless. No one has ever done that

"Woah to you too," Andy laughed, "Shall we?" she asked he just nodded and smiled leading her to the car.

"You look beautiful, as usual," Robert said looking at her and flashing a smile.

"You look beautiful as well," Andy said jokingly, which resulted in an eye roll and chuckle from Robert

"Don't you mean, sexy, handsome, irresistible?" He asked raising his eyebrow

"We'll see how I feel at the end of the night," she said pulling down the mirror and reapplying her lip-gloss.

Dinner went well, they talked about the station, and about themselves. Although they had been friends for a while, they didn't know that much about each other, so they used this as an opportunity to learn more.

"Can I interest you in any desert?" the waiter asked looking between the two

"No thank you, we're okay," Andy answered, "I much rather have my desert at home" she said with a smirk after the waiter had walked away.

Robert's eyes went wide. He was not expecting that out of her. He didn't even say a word he got up took her hand and let her to the car, and began to drive.

Andy was looking out the window watching the lights when she felt a hand on her thigh, but she didn't flinch as it began creeping higher and higher, lifter her dress with ever movement. He made his was to her inner thigh and that when she held her breathe, but he just kept going higher and higher until her reached his destination, moving her panties to the side, and began playing with her. He watched and she closed her eyes and tilted her head back in pleasure. He didn't know he could have this effect on her, especially not while driving.

"Pull over," was all her heard her say and he did exactly that. He found the nearest back street and pulled the car to the side putting it in park. She climbed over the center console and got on his lap straddling him, as he lowered the seat. It was at this moment he was happy he made the decision to get tinted windows. She leaned down and began to kiss him while slowly unbuttoning his shirt, her kissed getting lower and lower down his body. When he couldn't take it anymore, he lifted her dress higher and unbuckled his belt and pants. He looked into Andy's eyes for any signs of doubt or regret but he saw none. He aligned himself with her and they made love in the car for hours, both not wanting to stop. They were quickly taken out of the moment when they saw the lights of a police car flashing coming down the street. They quickly went back to their seats, fixing themselves properly just as the officer pulled up behind them.

"Robert wait," Andy said turning his head and using a makeup wipe to get rid of the lip-gloss on his lip.

"Thank you," he said winking at her. She just rolled her eyes and ran her hands through her hair a few times

The officer walked up to them and knocked on the window. Robert rolled it down, "Is there a problem officer?" He asked as politely as possible. Both of them sitting in the car knew the relationship between minorities and cops, specifically white ones. And there they were two minorities sitting in a car parked on a back street with a white cop standing by the window.

"Is there a reason you are parked here?" the officer asked shining the light right in Andy's eye.

"We were just having a conversation." Robert responded. He wasn't going to let Andy say a word unless she had too, he was going to protect her.

"You know this man?" the officer asked pointing the light back at Andy

"Yes, we work at the same fire station." She responded

The officer was silent for a second. "You can't park here, leave now"

"Okay," Robert said putting the car in drive and pulling off.

"Wow" was all Andy could say.

"Quite the eventful night," Robert said with a soft smile, "Do you want me to drop you home, or do you want to spend the night?"

"I want to stay with you," she replied

The two went to Roberts apartment and showered. Robert gave Andy a shirt to wear and they climbed into bed falling asleep in each other's arms.

The next morning came quickly they both got up and Andy put on a pair of jeans she left here the last time she slept over and climbed into the car. They drove to the station and went their separate ways. Andy changed quickly before anyone noticed they came in together.

"19 line up" Sullivan yelled into the beanery

They all ran down the stairs and lines up as they normally did. All except Andy.

"Last shift I said that I would be announcing the new captain of 19. After much deliberation between Gibson and Herrera, I have come to my decision. The new Captain of Station 19 is Andrea Herrera" the entire team clapped and cheered as Andy walked into the beanery with the new Captains insignia on her collar and shirt, well, all except Bishop and they all noticed.

"Thank you, guys. Don't worry I won't be mean or grumpy like Sullivan was his first few months here, everything will stay the same unless I decide otherwise." Her comment got a chuckle out of everyone including Sullivan

"As you know today, we will be doing the training with SPD so let's move these trucks out of here and set up."
