Andy hated when Robert had to go away for extended periods of time. When he became Battalion Chief again, he made it his number one priority, besides Andy of course, to help fix the way black people, specifically black firefighters were treated not only by the police department but by society. And he was making progress. With the help of Miller, Warren, Hughes, and their voices were being heard. Andy couldn't be more proud of him, for climbing his way back to the top despite everything. But right now in this very moment she hates him. She hates him for leaving her while she is 8 months pregnant. She couldn't go into work after she had an accident so she was stuck at home. Maya and Vic would come over to spend time with her, but it didn't change the fact that she wanted her husband. All she wanted to do for the next month was lay in bed, wrapped in his arms, and be loved by him. But that couldn't happen because he was across the country, in D.C.

'You couldn't have chosen a worse time to be a hero Robert,' Andy texted him

'What? Did something happen with the baby? Do you need me to come home?' He texted back, Andy could practically see the fear and anxiety welling up in his body

'No nothing happened, I just miss you,' she replied. If she was allowed to fly she would've gone with him.

'I miss you too, but it's just one more week and I'll be home with you until our little baby girl comes'

Andy smiled, she knew how excited he was for a daughter. Personally she wanted a son first but she wasn't going to complain, because she loved her unborn daughter with her entire heart.

'Yeah I know, but I'm just bored,' she said letting out a sigh

'I know baby. Can you do me a favor? Can you go to the office and check the desk I think I left a form there and I need you to send me a picture of it,' Robert asked

Andy found this so weird, he is always so put together making lists and checking them 500 times to make sure he doesn't forget anything. She slowly got out of bed, rubbing her belly as she walked down the upstairs hallway of their new three bedroom home. It took some convincing, but Robert finally got her to agree on a house. She didn't want to leave their apartment because that's where their love story started, but she couldn't deny the fact that they needed more space, especially if they were planning on having more kids.

She made her way into the room that had become Robert's home office. As she walked into the room she let out a gasp. Sitting on his desk chair was a large brown teddy bear. It had the cutest red and gold dress on it and a ribbon tied around its neck and a rose on its lap. She felt her phone ringing in her pocket. She accepted the Facetime call from her husband who had the biggest smile on his face.

"Did you see the form?" he asked jokingly

"Robert…" she said as she walked over to the desk. There was an envelope leaning on some books. Resting her phone down she opened it and began reading the letter.

To my beautiful wife and my amazing baby girl,

Andy I know you hate me for having to go away. I hate me for having to go away and leaving you by yourself. Which is why I got you this. This teddy bear. I know you love to cuddle while you sleep and you have probably been clinging to my pillow for dear life for the past two days, so here is a teddy bear that you can cuddle. I love you and I will see you soon.

Love,

Robert

"So? A teddy bear huh?" Andy teased wiping a tear that had fallen on her cheek

"Well I figured you could use one and then we can give it to our daughter when she is born," Robert said with a smile.

"Thank you, Baby. I love it. I'm going to name her Ariana," Andy said, holding onto the teddy bear.

"Ariana?" Robert asked with a confused look on his face

"Yes, Ariana,"

***about a month later***

"I can't do this Robert," Andy said, she was in pain and she was exhausted. She felt defeated. Sweat sat on her brow, her hair sticking to her forehead. "I want my mom," she cried out.

"Baby, you know if I could bring your mom here I would, but you know that isn't possible. You are the strongest woman I know, you can do this. One more push and then you get to meet your baby girl," Robert said brushing her hair out of her face

"Come one Mrs. Sullivan, I need one more big push," the doctor said

Andy grabbed onto her husband's hand squeezing it tightly as she screamed, pushing with all her might. Then they heard it. Their daughter's cries. Tears began to form in Andy's eyes as she looked up at Robert.

"See you did it, I knew you could do it," Robert said, kissing her forehead.

The doctor did a quick check on the baby to make sure everything was okay.
"Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan, here is your baby girl," the doctor said handing the baby who was wrapped in a blanket to Robert

"She is beautiful," Robert said, admiring his daughter's features. "Just like her mother," he continued handing the baby to Andy.

The two sat in silence just staring at the newest addition to their little family. After some time the rest of the team came in to meet the new bundle of joy.

They passed her around each team member getting a chance to hold her.

"She's beautiful," Vic said, caressing the baby's full head of hair.

"She's the perfect mix of the two of you," Dean said letting the baby wrap her hand around his finger.

"Does she have a name yet?" Jack asked looking at the new parents. Everyone turned to look at the two who were sitting on the bed.

Robert looked down at Andy expectantly. He had left the naming of their daughter up to her, after he gave her some names he was totally against of course.

"I would like you all to meet for the first time, our daughter, Ariana Lucia Sullivan. Ari for short." she smiled

"Lucia for Luke," she said looking between Vic and Robert

"And Sullivan, because, well, we are are Sullivans," She said looking up at her husband

"It's beautiful. But really? After the teddy bear?" He asked kissing her

"Yes, after the teddy bear." she said giving him a kiss

Shout out to Moo for the baby name! Hope you all enjoy this very unconventional one shot. I don't usually write pregnant Andy or giving birth Andy, because I simply don't like too, but when you tell your bestie the story of how you got your name and she tells you that you should fic it, you suck it up. So here it is. Yes I was named after a teddy bear my dad got my mom while they were dating.
