Went a little experimental with this one...you'll know when you get...THERE

It had been so long since they were able to get away. Just the two of them. Don't get him wrong, he loved the crew at Station 19. He loved how accepting they were eventually about him being a Probie, although they made some jokes. He especially loved how his wife would light up when she was around them. But god did he want some time alone with Andy.

He took matters into his own hands. Last shift he pulled Bishop to the side and explained his plan. He just wanted two days. Two days for him and his wife to go up North to a Cabin Lucas left for him after he died. A cabin that Andy didn't know about, yet. He had driven the two hours a few days ago to make sure everything was in place and clean and ready for their eventual arrival, so when Maya approved their two days off he was barely able to contain his excitement.

His alarm went off at 4 am that morning.

"Baby, come on. Wake up," He whispered to his wife, planting feather-like kisses all over her sleeping form.

"Robert, what time is it?" she groaned still half asleep

"4," he replied, running his fingers through her hair

"Why are you waking me up at 4 am on our day off, especially when we don't work until tomorrow morning," she said opening only one eye to look at her husband who was smiling innocently beside her

"Because I have something planned," he said getting out of bed and walking to the bathroom

"Oh and we don't work tomorrow, so hurry and get up," he added, laughing at Andy's overly confused face.

After washing her face and brushing her teeth, Andy was finally awake enough to comprehend everything that just happened in their bedroom at 4 am.

She sat on the edge of the bed still in her pajamas, watching her husband get dressed.

"Robert, I need you to stop for one second and explain to me what the hell is going on, and why the hell you woke me up at this godforsaken hour of the morning," she said, crossing her arms over her chest.

"I have something planned so I need you to get dressed, preferably in some warm clothes, and also pack enough clothes in your duffle bag for today and tomorrow." He said giving her a quick kiss before going back to what he was going.

She didn't question it, she just did what she was told. She got dressed in a sweater and a scarf, her tight fitted black jeans and her boots. Packing two other outfits that were similar in the bag along with other essentials. She followed Robert down the stairs and out the front door once they got their jackets on.

"Can you at least tell me where we are going?" she asked once they got in the car

"Some place you will really enjoy," Robert replied, smiling at his wife while pulling out the driveway.

Andy let out a sigh. Clearly she wasnt getting anything out of him. She knew if she asked any more and got any more extremely vague answers she was going to get annoyed so she reclined the passenger seat turned on her side, as far as she could with the seat belt and closed her eyes.

She didn't know how long she was asleep. She just knew the car stopped moving and she heard a door close. When she opened her eyes she saw a small two-story wooden cabin, surrounded by tall pine trees that were covered in snow. She got out of the car and spun around taking in everything that was around her. She didn't have the slightest clue as to where she was, but wherever she was, she didn't want to leave.

"Are you coming inside?" Robert said as stood leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed over his chest pulling Andy from her thoughts. She shut the passenger side door and quickly made her way inside. She didn't realize how cold it was outside until she was standing in front of the warm fireplace.

"Robert, this place is amazing, but what are we doing here," she said putting her back to the fire to warm up her thighs

"I figured we could use a little escape. With everything going on between COVID and the entire world being shut down, and everything going on with social justice and police brutality," He said inching his was closer to her

"I just wanted to take a moment to be with my wife alone, away from the team, somewhere secluded...somewhere where we don't have to worry about waking the neighbors," He said finally enveloping her in a hug

Andy felt her entire face heat up and she knew it wasn't from the fire, or from being buried in Robert's chest.

"You plan on being loud?" Andy asked looking up at him through her long eyelashes

"Not me, love...you," He slid his finger under her chin tilting her head leaning down and planting a kiss on her soft lips and then quickly pulling away. "I'm going to go get more firewood," he turned around swiftly

"Robert Sullivan!" She yelled out, but he just shut the back door to keep the heat in. "God, he is going to kill me," she mumbled. Making herself busy, Andy decided to explore this mystery cabin that they were going to be staying at for who knows how long. She made her way from the fireplace in the living room, to the large kitchen that looked way too high-tech to belong in this place. She opened a few random doors, discovering a pantry full of nonperishables and a bathroom. She made her way up the wooden stairs along the wall, climbing carefully not wanting to fall. She slowly walked down the hallway. She admired the pictures of nature hanging on the wall. She opened the door at the end of the hall which led to what she assumed to be their bedroom. Their bags were piled in a corner she took this time to unpack a little and to hang her jacket up in the closet. After she had her fill of looking around she grabbed her book and made her way back down stairs where Robert was stacking the firewood. She plopped herself on the sofa, grabbing the blanket and covering her legs. Robert came and sat next to her lifting her legs so that they were now on top of his.

"What are you reading?" he asked trying to see the name of her book

"A book," she replied with a smirk, not shifting her eyes from the page.

"I-, okay well you can read your book later I want to talk to my wife," he said rubbing her leg, "please," he added when he saw she didn't budge

"Okay, Robert. What do you want to talk about," she said, wrapping her hair up into a loose, messy bun.

"I don't know," he said laughing a little

Andy let out a laugh, and opened her book again, "well, when you figure it out, let me know."

They sat in silence for a while. Robert's eyes were shifting between the fire in front of him, to his hands, and then to his wife.

"How are you?" He asked finally breaking the silence

Andy closed her book, dropping it in her lap, "How am I?"

"Yes, how are you?" Robert reiterated his question

"I'm good, a little tired seeing that you woke me up at 4 am but I'm okay." she replied letting out a sigh

"Okay, now that you have given me the answer you would give Vic or Travis. Give me your real answer. I want to know how my wife is really doing," he said looking at her in the eye

Andy hated how well he knew her. She hated that he knew how to get her to talk, how to get her to spill all her feelings.

"I'm tired. Not physically tired, although right at this moment I am," she said, nudging Robert a little to let him know it was his fault, "but I'm emotionally and mentally tired. I'm tired of hearing how many people died every day, not just from COVID but from police brutality. We are living through two pandemics and there are people who seem like they are making it their life mission to make sure these pandemics go on forever. I'm tired of being scared that you won't come home to me. I already think about that everytime you run into a fire and now I have to think about it when you go to the grocery store? It makes me so angry, and we go to marches and we peacefully protest and we sign petitions and we call our representatives but no one is seeing change. And I know, my fear could never measure up to your fear, or Vic's fear, or Dean and Warren's fear, but I'm still scared. And god don't even get me started on Travis's fear and the hate Asians are getting. I just feel so bad because he doesn't want to talk about what he experiences everytime he goes out, but it's clearly taking a toll on him. And I...I just don't know." she shook her head, tilting her head to the ceiling so the tears that were threatening to fall out went right back to where they came from

"Sorry, I didn't mean to get so deep. We are going to have a good...how long are we staying here?" she laughed

"Two days," Robert said. He wanted to reply to her whole monologue but clearly she wanted to move on.

"Okay, we will have a great two days. And where did you find this place because it is absolutely beautiful and we are most definitely coming back for a much longer stay," she continued, reaching to put her book on the coffee table.

Robert let out a chuckle, "Well it's ours," he said looking down at his feet

"It's what?" Andy asked. She was certain she didn't hear him correctly

"It's ours,"

"How-? Did you buy this place? Because if you did, it's a nice surprise but we definitely should've talked about it first,"

"No, I didn't buy it. Luke, he..uh...he left it for me in his will. So when he died, it became mine," he said letting out a breath

"Well that was very nice of him," Andy said reaching for Roberts hand

"Yeah, even though I cut him out of my life for 15 years, and continuously pushed him away as he tried to mend things, he still left this beautiful place for me...a place that we can now enjoy together," they smiled at each other. "Alright well it's only 8am so we can either go back to sleep, or get breakfast and go for a walk."

"I vote to sleep first, have lunch, then go for a walk." Andy said squeezing Roberts hand and getting up from the couch

"Lead the way,"

Andy rolled over in the bed feeling around for her husband, but was met with cold sheets indicating that Robert had been out of the bed for a while. She let out a groan looking over at the alarm clock. It was already 3pm, and she didn't realize how tired she was. She changed into some new clothes, and made her way downstairs.

"Good morning, sleepy head," Robert said when he heard her reach the bottom of the staircase

Andy laughed

"There's a sandwich on the counter for you," he said turning is attention back to whatever was in his lap

"Thank you," Andy called out from the kitchen. She sat on one of the bar stools eating her sandwich and drinking her water.

"Really Andy? A romance novel?" Robert said, walking into the kitchen with her book in hand.

"What? There is nothing wrong with a good romance novel," Andy said smugly

"I just never pegged you for a romance novel kind of girl," Robert shrugged leaning against the counter in front of her

"Well, I never pegged myself as a marriage kind of girl either, yet here we are," she said, patting his cheek and disposing of her dishes. "Ready for our walk?" she asked drying her hands

Robert responded with a nod, still shocked by Andy's quick come back.

"Are you sure you don't want your jacket? We arent that far I can run back for it," Robert asked. Andy decided to dress for fashion over function, hoping to take this as an opportunity to snap some pictures. She wasn't a big social media person but since lockdown she has gotten back into instagram and twitter and decided that this could be her first post in a while.

"I'm fine Robert, Im wearing a sweater," she said looking up at the snow covered trees

"Yeah, a sweater that is probably thinner than a piece of paper, and a skirt. Andy, are you kidding me. Don't get me wrong, you look gorgeous, but baby I don't want you to get sick."

"Well I won't get sick if you would hurry up and leave me alone so I can get some pictures," she said walking off deeper into the wooded area looking around for the perfect place for some pictures

"Robert look," she called out to her husband. "It's a bunny," she said. She knelt down in the snow and scooped the bunny up in her hands. "Can you take some pictures for me please," she begged

"My pleasure, dear," he said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice. He pulled out his phone waiting for Andy to pose with the bunny. He probably took over 100 pictures before she was satisfied.

They decided it was time to walk back seeing that the sun would be setting soon. As they walked side by side, Andy brought her hand up to rub her arms, hoping to get some warmth. She would ask for his jacket but her being the stubborn person she was she didnt want to prove him right. She shivered as a cold breeze blew past them. Robert noticed and bit back the 'I told you so' that was threatening to come out and shimmied off his jacket resting it over her shoulders.

Andy looked up at him and smiled, wedging herself under his arm, and nessling into his side.

"What do you want for dinner?"

"Honestly, anything you make would be fine." she replied with a genuine smile. Robert leaned down and planted a kiss on her forehead.

Dinner wasn't anything special seeing that neither of them were really that hungry. Andy had gone back upstairs to take a shower while Robert cleaned up the kitchen. She changed into her pajamas and went to stand outside on the balcony taking in the fresh air. Her hot breath showed itself as she enjoyed the silence on the balcony.

"Aren't you cold?" Robert stood beside her after wiping away a pile of snow

"Tonight I have chosen function over fashion," she replied with a laugh gesturing to the coat she was wearing

Robert reached over and hooked his finger under her chin, just like he did that morning and placed a kiss on her lips before pulling away.

"Nope not this time," Andy mumbled, pulling him closer and connecting their cold lips again. Robert let his hand raise to cup her face.

"It's cold," she mumbled

"Then let's go inside," Robert lifted her, causing her to squeal, "Now are you glad no one else is around."

Andy nodded, attacking his lips again. Robert's eager hands traced to take off Andy's coat, sprawling it across the ground. His smell intoxicated her as he moved down slowly, placing loving kisses along her jaw and down her neck. Letting self-control fly out the window Robert marked his spot along Andy's neck, bruising it eagerly. His hand kept cupping to her cheek, his thumb in the corner of her lips.

A hard shiver wracked through her body as he unbuttoned his shirt, her blissful eyes wandering along, taking in every detail before he helped her out of her own clothes.

"God, you're beautiful," Robert mumbled, throwing her shirt to the ground. Andy never felt more loved than when she was with Robert. He lifted her again positioning her against the pillows. Andy wrapped her hand around the back of his neck pulling him down, kissing him passionately. A lustful laugh escaped Robert as he moved her hand down to pin it above her head.

"I'm the lead tonight, yes?"

"Yes, sir," Andy took a deep breath as Robert let out a dark chuckle. They liked to keep things fresh when it came to their sex lives, so every now and them they would interchange who was incharge and clearly tonight Robert wanted to be incharge, so Andy let him have it.

He moved down, leaving Andy exposed and wanting more. Kisses were placed along her inner thigh as he pulled away the last bit of fabric.

Andy gripped onto her mouth tight, to stop the wave of noises from escaping. That was until Robert's hand pushed it away.

"I want to hear you. Let me hear you," before she could argue a loud moan escaped her mouth.

Robert went down. His tongue moved around in circles until it caught the right spot. Coiling in her stomach, Andy couldn't believe how easily he made her unravel.

"God baby, you taste just as good as you look," he grinned as he held her trembling legs, letting her ride out her high. "So easy, wasn't that?" He pulled up to kiss her again. "And just with my mouth…"

Andy let out another moan.

"Do you want this?"

"Yes,"

"Yes…?"

"Yes, sir-" Andy gasped as she felt him, a loud groan leaving his mouth. It felt like the first time all over again. A loud moan escaped, as he thrusted in deeped. Sweet words left his mouth as he buried his head in the crook of her neck. Her hands found their way to his back, gripping it tight as she placed eager kisses along his neck.

Another coil tied up in her core, more and more as he hit a certain sweet spot. The harder he hit it the closer she came until it all unraveled for the second time, but his rhythm didn't falter.

"R-Robert," she breathlessly moaned out as he lifted her lips to his again, cating another blissful noise.

"That's it, baby, say my name," his husky whisper sent another shiver through her as she said his name again, feeling him getting slow, sloppy, and needy.

"I'm-"

"So am I, baby," his groan escaped as they both reached their climax, taking a minute before collapsing on the bed next to her.

"That was…"

"Amazing," he mumbled against her. He quickly got up and grabbed a damp towel, cleaning them both up. The cold soon got to them both, now under the blankets feet tangled comfortably under the thick duvet.

"Just because I let you lead two weeks in a row doesn't mean anything, Sullivan. I'm in charge next time," Andy said smiling to herself

"Oh, shut up," Robert chucked, nuzzling against her neck, sighing at the feeling of her laugh against his lips. "Goodnight, baby,"

"Goodnight, Robert," Andy turned over and placed a kiss on his cheek.
