The 2018 WWE SummerSlam PPV opens up with a video package featuring actor Terry Crews talking. A live shot inside the Barclays Center, in Brooklyn New York, as Michael Cole welcomes the fans at home watching on the WWE Network. He is joining by Corey Graves and Jonathan Coachman. Michael Cole said, "The three of us hope that ours Boss Kayla McMahon and her and Miz's unborn child is okay." Michael tells the fans at home we still don't know if the Miz vs. Daniel Bryan is going happen.
We go right to the ring and out comes Dean Ambrose. He waits as Seth Rollins makes his way out next. Ambrose will be in the corner of Rollins. JoJo does the introduction, as Rollins and Ambrose head to the ring together. WWE Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler is out next with Drew McIntyre to accompany Dolph to the ring. McIntyre will be in Ziggler's corner tonight. Michael Cole announced some of the international teams at ringside. The bell sounded and here we go. Ziggler and Rollins go at it, throughout the match, include McIntyre gets on the apron but Ambrose pulls him off, and hits dirty deeds on the floor, as Rollins superkick Ziggler and hits the stop for the win and title. Renee Young is backstage with The Bella Twins and they won't say if they're focused on so many projects these days. They do reveal they will be ringside to watch Ronda Rousey vs. Alexa Bliss tonight.
We go back to the ringside and to Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton and Corey Graves on commentary now. Out first come the New Day Big E and Xavier Woods with Kofi Kingston. SmackDown Tag Team Champion Bludgeon Brothers Erick Rowan and Luke Harper are out next. They head to the ring, enter and hand the titles to the referee who show them to Xavier Woods and Big E. The bell sounded and here we go. They go at it until Erick jumps up and nail Woods with a sledgehammer for the Disqualification. We go to a commercial. Back from the break and we see Jon Stewart at ringside with his son. A video package for Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens. After the video, back to the ring, we go, and outcomes Kevin Owens. Braun Strowman is out next with his Money in the Bank Briefcase. Fans chant "Get These Hands" as they wait for the bell.
The bell finally sounded and Strowman goes right to works on Owens. Braun dominates Owens and tells Owens to get up. Braun scoops him up and then nails the running powerslam for the easy win. After the bell, Braun celebrates his easy win over Owens. We go back to commercial. Back from the break and the blue Brand announcers leads the fans to a video package for the next match. After the video, we go back to the ring and outcomes Charlotte Flair, head to the ring, and then enter it. Becky Lynch is out next then heads to the ring next and then poses for the fans. SmackDown Women's Champion Carmella comes out next. The formal ring introduction was done by Greg Hamilton. Carmella hand the title to the referee who showed it to both Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair and then he hands it to someone at ringside. The signal for the bell and it sounded. Carmella starts moonwalking. They go at it, throughout the match.
"My mommy is better," Vicky said while watching the TV with Kathy, Khloe, JJ, Sophia, and Ashley.
"Mommy is beautiful too," Kathy said.
They watched as Becky applies the Dis-Arm–Her but Charlotte Flair runs in breaks it up with Natural Selection and then covers her for the win and title. After the bell, Charlotte raising the title, as the fans boo her, cheer Becky, and chant her name. They speak and hug. Becky pulls back and slaps Flair to the mat with a stiff blow. Some fans go wild as Becky beats on Flair and kicks out of the ring. Becky raises the title as the chant continues. Becky goes to the ring and stands over Flair. Becky launches Charlotte into the barrier and then over the announce table. Some fans chant, "You deserve it." Becky marches to the back. Official's checks on Charlotte, who is still down by the German announce table.
We go back to the ring and outcomes, Samoa Joe. He heads to the ring and the WWE Champion AJ Styles is out next. We see AJ's wife Wendy and their daughter at ringside. Hamilton does formal ring introductions. Joe interrupts Greg Hamilton and points out Wendy, telling her not to worry because daddy is coming home tonight. AJ is ready to fight now. AJ said, "His family came for one reason it sees him kicks Joe's ass."
The bell sounded and they go at it and throughout the match until Joe addresses Wendy again and that he will be her daddy. AJ stands up and he's furious. AJ charges and knocks Joe from the announce table through the barrier at the timekeeper area. AJ snaps and takes out two staffers. AJ grabs and then smacks Joe in the back with a chair for the disqualification. After the bell, AJ continues hitting Joe after screams out. Fans chant, "Who's your daddy?" now. Producers are out too checking on Joe, including Adam Pearce and Fit Finely. AJ's wife Wendy and daughter look on from the crowd but it looks like they may have stepped back a bit. AJ charges with a chair but finally grabs it and stop him. Fans chant "One More time," as AJ looks at his wife. She tells him to stop. AJ goes to his wife and daughter, and apologize. AJ holds his daughter and fans cheer. AJ hands his daughter back and briefly talks to the referee. AJ walks to the back with his wife and daughter.
We go back to commercial. Back from the break and Elias is in the ring, with a spotlight and his guitar. He does his thing and goes to start playing the guitar but it breaks in two. Fans chants "You fucked up," now. Elias throws a fit toss the guitar.
The camera cut the back as The Mizanin tour bus pulling into the arena and the crowd erupts seeing the bus. "The Miz and Mrs. Awesome tour bus," Byron said.
Tom leads the fans to a video package for Miz vs. Daniel Bryan. After the video, The Miz's music hits and Stephanie show the bus again as the door open and a bodyguard step off the bus and the Miz walks off the bus and they walked through the back.
Miz said, "Once the match is over we are head right back Greenwich."
The bodyguard said, "Okay, Sir." They went out of sight and the fans boo and then they walk out to cheers and some boo. Miz pose and then makes his way to the ring.
"You know Kayla has to be on Miz's mind tonight," Byron said.
"She probably is… but I am sure that Miz will able to focus on Bryan," Corey said.
Miz enters the ring and poses for the fans. Daniel Bryan is out next and he Yes his way to the ring, as Miz looks on from the ring. He was not impressed with Bryan. Bryan poses on the top turnbuckle and then enters the ring. He took off his t-shirt and then tosses it away. The bell sounded and they size each other up before locking up. Bryan takes to the ropes, but Miz rocks Bryan with a cheap shot, as they break. Miz unloads and rocks Bryan into the opposite corner now. Miz beats on Bryan as the referee warns him. Miz with big kicks in the corner as fans chant "Yes!" while he kicks.
Miz with the running clothesline. He goes for running dropkicks and nails it. He goes for another but Bryan grabs him by the throat and then the referee is yelling at Bryan to let him go now or I will disqualification you. Bryan punches Miz back into the corner and the referee is reprimand Bryan for the using a closed fist. Some fans chant with him. Bryan unloads with "Yes!" kicks in the corner now. The referee is warned Bryan about he is close to being disqualified. Miz manages to turn it around and drops Bryan with a shoulder. He looks out at the fans. They run ropes and Bryan levels Miz with a kick. The action continues Brie was shown at ringside watching the match. Bryan hits a bulldog and then covers him for a two count.
Miz turns it back around again and uses a surfboard submission in the middle of the ring, and mocking with it. Bryan gets free and ends up getting the same submission applied. Miz wouldn't give up and Bryan let go of the hold. Bryan with kicks in the corner now. Miz crotches Bryan on the top ropes now, and nails a flying clothesline from the second turnbuckle to knocks Bryan off the ropes. Miz covers him for close two counts. Miz keeps control and drops knees into Bryan's back next. Miz talks some trash and keeps Bryan grounded. Bryan fights up and they tangle some more and Miz gets the upperhand, hitting the neckbreaker and then covers him for another close two counts.
Miz talks some more trash to Bryan and rocks Bryan in the face with a right hand and another. Miz tells Bryan to stay down and rocks him with another right. Bryan gets up but Miz rocks him into the ropes. Miz with more lefts and rights, sending Bryan into the corner. Miz plays to the crowd for some boo and cheers from Miz and Mrs. Awesome fans. Bryan fights out of the corner with rights. Bryan comes off the top and lands on is feet. Bryan runs the ropes duck a clothesline and levels Miz. Fans do dueling chant for two now. Bryan runs and hits the corner dropkick and goes for another, but Miz comes out of the corner with a vicious clothesline that turning Bryan inside out.
Bryan come right back with "Yes!" kicks now. Bryan takes Miz up and brings down with a hurricanrana for a two count. Bryan with more chops and kicks now. Bryan knocks Miz over the ropes to the floor. Bryan runs the ropes again and dropkicks Miz through the ropes, sending him over the German announce table. Bryan goes to the top and leaps out taking Miz back down on the floor. Bryan pound on Miz on the outside. Bryan brings it back into the ring and goes to the rope. Miz cuts him off. Miz rocks Bryan and climbs up with a few right hands as fans count. Bryan counters and Miz are hung upsides down in the trees of woes. Bryan kicks Miz while he's upside down. Bryan charge in with a dropkick. Bryan with a back-to-back suplex.
Bryan covers him for two counts. Bryan with more "Yes!" kicks in the middle of the ring. Miz counters shot and nail DDT, covers him but Bryan kicks out at two counts. Miz kicks Bryan right in the face a couple of time. Bryan shakes his head at Miz. Bryan catches kicks and fire back with a slap to Miz. Bryan with a dragon screw leg whip. Bryan drops Miz into the corner with a shot to the face. The referee tells Bryan I am not going to warn you again about the punch. Bryan chants "Yes!" and then charges with the knee but Miz catch Bryan and goes for the figure four. Bryan tries for a Yes Lock. Miz slingshots him into the corner the ring post and then nails a Skull-Crushing Finale and he covers him for a very close two count. Brie looks on from the front row and is concerned. Miz tries to do a "Yes!" chant now. He charges but Bryan drops him with a high kick and covers him for two counts.
Miz tries suplex Bryan from the ring to the floor but Bryan hangs on and goes to the apron. They go at it, Bryan shin goes hard into the ring post and he goes down as Miz moves. Bryan clutches his leg and is in some pain. Miz takes advantage and brings Bryan back into the ring for the figure four again. Bryan starts punching Miz while in the hold. The referee reprimands Bryan for using the closed fist again. Miz fights back with unloads on him now. Bryan eventually turns the hold over and tries to make Miz tap out. Miz finally gets to the bottom rope and break the hold. They get to their feet and trade shot again. Bryan blocks Skull-Crushing Finale and rolls Miz up for a two count.
The back and forth continues and pin attempts. Bryan drives elbows into Miz's neck and jaw now. Bryan applies the yes lock and rocks Miz in the back of the head with punches. The referee once again reprimands Bryan for the closed fist. Miz gets the bottom rope and breaks the yes lock. Miz rolls out of the ring for a breather. Bryan runs and leaps from the apron nailing the knee strike to the face Miz. Bryan goes for running dropkick from behind but Miz spin around and nail him with another vicious clothesline. Brie yells at Miz, and he ignores her. Bryan punches him in the gut and then Bryan kicks Miz in the barrier again and runs the ropes for a suicide dive. Miz meets Bryan at the ropes with a vicious forearm shot. Miz slid into the ring and then covers him for the pin to win. After the match, bodyguard climbs into the ring and checks on Miz.
"Here is your winner, The Miz," Greg Hamilton announced.
Brie was yells that Miz use a foreign object. A replay shows that Miz use nothing. Miz stands tall in the ring get his hand raised by the referee. Bryan is laid out, Miz exit the ring with the bodyguard and began to taunt Bryan and Brie before heading to the back. SummerSlam goes to commercial. Mike comes through the curtain and Stephanie smile at him.
"Congrats Mike on beating Daniel," she said.
"Thanks, Steph…"
"You're welcome, I am sure that Kayla is happy."
"Yeah, she probably happy. It felt really good to beat him cleanly. Did you hear Brie yell that I use a foreign object," he said.
"Yeah, I heard her but a replay shows that you didn't use anything," she said.
Back from the break and a promo for SuperShow Down event from Australian on October 6. We go back to the ring and outcomes Baron Corbin, as we see the other international announce team in the arena. Finn Balor is out next but fans pop big because he brought "The Demon" back to Brooklyn. Corbin argues with the referee, saying, "This isn't what he agreed on." The bell sounded and Balor dominated Corbin and then nails the Coup of Grace for the easy win. We go back to commercial.
Back from the break and Daniel Bryan is getting his head iced in the back when wife Brie Bella joins him. Brie doesn't even want to get started on Miz using a foreign object. Bryan is frustrated, ranting on his return has been a bust and he fought for the comeback just has The Miz beaten him. Brie talks him up reminding him of his dreams, and his fights to come back. Brie said, "She's going to stay in the back with him," but he wants her to go out and enjoys the show, saying he will stay in the back and punch some walls or something.
Back to the ring, we go for WWE United States Championship match, Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Jeff Hardy and there was actin the match until Nakamura's nails the big knee to the face for the pin to win and retain the title. We go back to commercial. Back from the break and for RAW Women's Championship match.
RAW Women's Champion Alexa Bliss goes out first and the fans chant "Mrs. Awesome" now. She isn't happy with the fans to chant for Kayla McMahon. Ronda Rousey comes out next and hits the ring. The bell sounded and Bliss coward away and hid behind the referee. Michael Cole and Corey Graves mentioned how Kayla was a fighting champion and never hid behind anyone. Rousey grabs her and went to work, at one point Bliss look like she dislocated her elbow, and Rousey locked in the armbar for the win and title. After the RAW Women's Championship match, a quick commercial break.
Back from the break and the main event WWE, Universal Championship matches. Once both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns were in the ring they action began to include Braun comes out to distract Lesnar, and allowed Reigns to nails the spear on Lesnar and pin to him for the win and the title and the fans boo, as SummerSlam went off the air with Reigns celebrates.
