During the night, Kayla suddenly felt pain and woke up; Mike felt her moving and opened his eyes.
"Baby are you okay?"
"I am having some contraction Mike," she said, he sat up and moved closed to her.
"You sure, baby?" He asked
"Yes, take me to the hospital now," she said, he jumps out the bed and quickly got dress and then helps Kayla get dress.
Kayla groaned in pain as another contraction came on, as Mike and she walked toward the bedroom door.
"Ouch," Kayla said.
"You ok baby," he said
"Yeah, I'm fine. I mean it hurt like hell but its normal and part of childbirth."
Mike smile and says, "It'll be amazing." As they walk down the staircase.
When they reach the bottom walk toward the front odor Mike turn off the security alarm and then unlocked the door turned the door opened the door. Kayla walks out first followed closet by Mike he closes the door behind them and then slid his key into the lock and turn locked the door again. They walk toward Mike's car, then he presses the button turn off the car alarm and then press another button unlocked the doors. He opens the door for her, then help her into the passenger seat, and then close the door. He walks around the car open the door, got in behind the wheel and he pulls the door closed. He slid the key ignition turn it start the car as Kayla groaned in pain. Mike hated seeing her in pain.
Mike drives down the circular driveway to the gates that opened then out and sped off toward the hospital at the same time Kayla call Dr. Jones and told her that she might be labor. Dr. Jones told her okay, I am on way to the hospital I will meet you there. She disconnected her call with her Dr. Jones, as Mike tried his hardest not to step on the gas and then being pulled over for speeding. When he finally pulls up to the hospital and then, parks the car, in a nearly empty parking lot. He turns the key shutting off the engine and then pulls the key out of the ignition and then they unbuckled their seatbelt and opened the door. Mike got out and closes the door and quickly rush around the car and help Kayla out of the car.
He close the door and set the alarm on the car, and then they walk toward the hospital and went inside as another contraction hit Kayla and Nurses rush over to helps Mike with Kayla. One nurse grabs a wheelchair and they help Kayla sit down, and push her toward the elevator. Mike followed holding her bag. Mike pulls out his phone and texts his parents and in-laws to tell that, Kayla might be labor. The elevator doors slid open and they got on the elevator and the nurse push the button for the eighth floor. The doors slide closed and Mike kneels down beside the wheelchair.
"You still ok baby," he said softly
"Yeah" she groaned through another contraction.
He smiled at her "Kayla I'm so excited about this baby. I loved that we're adding to our family."
"Me too honey."
As the elevator reaches, the eighth floor, the doors slid open, and the nurse pushes Kayla out of the elevator and down the hallway to the reservation hospital room for Kayla Mizanin. The nurse pushes her into the hospital room and then the two nurse's help Kayla changed out of her maternity dress and into an ordinary hospital gown, her water broke.
"Oops. Sorry about that," she apologized to the nurses. The nurses smiled and "it's okay Mrs. Mizanin."
They help her into the bed, as Mike was hand papers to fill out. He sat down on the bed beside Kayla and began to fill out of the papers, as Kayla was been hooked up to a machine that monitoring her contraction. Once Mike finished the filling out the paper, he stood up, walk out the hospital room, heads to the nurse station, and give them to the nurse who took them. Mike then took out his wallet, open it, then pulls out the insurance card, and hand it to her.
"I will bring you the insurance card once I am done."
"Okay thanks"
"You're welcome Mr. Mizanin."
He walks back to the hospital room, went inside, and retook his spot beside Kayla. Dr. Jones came walking into the hospital room.
"Hello there," she said.
"Hello Dr. Jones," Mike and Kayla said together.
Dr. Jones looked at the read and noticed that the baby was not too born; it was going to be a while for the little guy.
"Is everything okay Dr. Jones?" Mike asked
"Yes, Mike, the baby isn't ready to enter the world it is going to be awhile."
Dr. Jones took look at Kayla and noticed she is barely dilated two centimeters. Mike held Kayla's hand.
"I will back in a little while," Dr. Jones said,
"Okay Dr. Jones," they said together, and she walks out of the hospital room.
Mike's cell went off and he grabs it off the table and saw it was mom text. Mike laughs reading the text has my grandbaby arrive. Mike touches the phone icon and then tocuh his mom name and then he heard her voice.
"No, mom your grandbaby isn't here yet. The baby is being stubborn. It showing the McMahon stubborn streak."
Kayla chuckled at him and he smiled at her.
"Okay son, call me after the baby is born."
"I will mom bye." He disconnected his call and looks at Kayla.
"She didn't even read the text."
Kayla chuckled and says, "I don't know what to say."
At the Mizanin house, Vicky and Kathy run down the hallway to their parents looks inside and noticed that they were not in bed and run to Nana Linda's room.
"Nana, nana," they yelled and Linda came out of the bedroom and caught her granddaughters.
"What's the matters babies?" She asked rubbing their back.
"Mommy and daddy missing," they said with tears in their eyes.
"It's okay, babies," Nana Linda said, as Vince came out of the bedroom behind them.
"Honey your phone went off."
Linda let the girls go and took her phone from Vince and looks at it. She noticed that she received a text message from Mike. She opens it and read it. "Mom, Kayla might be in labor." She read.
"Baby here," Kathy said looking up at her Nana.
"No, honey, mommy might be in labor, so daddy took her to the hospital."
Linda touches the phone icon then touch Mike's name, bought the phone up to her ear and then heard his voice.
"Hi, mom."
"Hi, Mike, how is Kayla doing?"
"She is okay mom doing her breath and patiently waiting to give birth." He chuckled
"Okay,"
"Nana, can I talk to daddy?" Vicky asked
"Sure honey," she replied hand her the phone.
"Hi, daddy," she said
"Hi, princess"
"Mommy had the baby"
"Not yet, princess, the baby is being stubborn."
"Oh, Kathy and I came there."
"Well…Not right now, you and Kathy need to go to school. After school nana will bring you here okay."
"Okay daddy, kiss mommy for Kathy and me."
"I will princess."
Kathy took the phone and says, "Daddy tell mommy we love her."
"I will princess, have a good day and we will see you later."
"Okay, daddy" Linda took the phone from Kathy and says, "Mike don't forget to me after the birth."
He chuckled and says, "I won't mom, I promise."
"Okay. Kiss my pebble for her dad and me."
"I will mom, bye."
"Bye son." She disconnected the call.
"Princess Kayla is in labor," Vince asked with a smile.
"Yes, honey."
Back at the hospital, Mike placed his phone on the table and look at Kayla.
"Princesses Vicky and Kathy loved you."
Kayla smiled and says, "Missing me huh."
"Sound that way," he said leaned over and kissing her twice.
"Those kisses were from your mom, dad and Vicky and Kathy."
Dr. Jones came walking back into the hospital room to check on Kayla.
"How are we doing in here?" Dr. Jones asked as she looks a the readout.
"Okay, Dr. Jones," Kayla replied between breaths as another contraction hit her.
"Good," she said still reading the readout from the machine.
She then looks at Kayla to see how far dilated she was.
"You are 5 centimeters right now. Another five centimeters and then you began pushing."
"Okay Dr. Jones," she said, as she walks out of the hospital room.
Over the next few hours, Kayla had dilated one centimeter. Dr. Jones would come in and check her. Mike held her hand during her contractions and dilating. Kayla gave him a small smile as Dr. Jones came and check her again and she was fully dilating.
"Okay Kayla, it time to push," Dr. Jones said.
"Okay, Dr. Jones," she said, between the breath.
She gripped Mike's hand hard as she began to push. Even though it was her third child she found it was the same amount of pain she felt giving birth to Vicky and Kathy. Another few minutes of pushing and then Dr. Jones could see the head of the baby.
"You're almost there Kayla, a few more pushes," Dr. Jones said.
Kayla held Mike's hand as tight as she could and gave one push then another. She felt her son, come out of her but didn't hear any noise, with Vicky and Kathy they cried right away. She got really scared and nervous. Dr. Jones held the baby and looked at her nurse before rushing the baby away from Kayla and Mike. Kayla sat up as much as she could with terror in her eyes. She looked at Mike who had the same look of terror.
"Babe, what's wrong with our baby"
Mike watched the doctors who were performing CPR on the baby. Mike's heart broke and he prayed to God that their baby is ok. Kayla was begging and pleading with God not take their son away. Kayla was crying while she held Mike's hand as his own tears started to flow.
Meanwhile, outside of the delivery room, Linda arrived with her two granddaughters Vicky and Kathy anxious to see their parents and the new baby. A nurse walks over and whispers to Linda that doctors performing CPR on her grandchild right now.
"I need to call my husband," Linda said softly.
She steps away while the nurse took Vicky and Kathy into the waiting room. Linda pulls out her cell and calls Vince. The WWE Corporate Headquarters, Vince was talking with Stephanie and John when his cell rang. He grabs and saw Linda was calling him.
He answered and says, "Hey sweetheart."
"Vince you need to come to the hospital now," she said softly.
"Linda, what's wrong?" He asked
"They are performing CPR on our grandson, honey," she said scared.
"Oh, god. Okay, we are on our way," he said.
"Okay get here fast," she said.
"We will honey," he said disconnected his call. He looks up at Stephanie and John and they saw fear in his eyes.
"Dad, what's wrong?" Stephanie asked
"We need to get to the hospital. They are performing CPR on little Michael," he said, Stephanie gasped and John puts his arm around her.
"What?" She gasped.
"Your mom doesn't know much just that a team of Doctors is performing CPR." They walk out of the office and rush down the hallway as Vince's secretary what is going.
