T3: Family Arrival-(Part 2).
One Hour Later...
In the Thanksgiving decorated living-room, Brooklynn picked up one of the two paper turkeys that were on the coffee-table in front of the sofa and folded it up. After returning home from the shelter, she decided to take down the decorations in the living-room Olivia, with help from Leo, had put up earlier while she was out, as it looked like she had gone overboard with the decorating. All of the furniture was from the 19th century, except for a 1956 TV that was in front of the sofa and the coffee-table, with the 50s remote resting on the table.
"Who said you could do that?" Monica asked as she entered the living-room, startling Brooklynn, who turned to face her.
"Oh, come on, Monica." Brooklynn said.
"Come on" what?" Monica asked.
"It looks like the Thanksgiving parade broke down and parked itself in here. You cannot be okay with this." Brooklynn said.
"Well, Olivia and i have an agreement. She's in charge of the decorations, except for the Thanksgiving tree. I put my foot down on that one." Monica said.
"And not these? I don't get it, it's your house." Brooklynn said before putting the folded-up paper turkey on the sofa and then walking away from it.
"Yes, it is my house, Brooklynn." Said Monica as she walked over to Brooklynn. "And if Olivia wants to fill it with paper turkeys, she can fill it with paper turkeys."
"It's alright, Monica." Said Olivia as she entered into the living-room, with Monica and Brooklynn turning to face her.
"She's taking down your decorations." Monica said.
"Yes. You know what? I may have gone a bit over-board with all the paper turkeys. If it bothers you that much, Brooklynn...get rid of 'em." Olivia said.
"Happy almost Thanksgiving, everyone." Said Ned as he, Tracy, Cameron, Mickey and Leo entered into the living-room.
"Happy almost Thanksgiving, Dad." Said Brooklynn as she walked toward Ned.
"Thanks." Ned said as Brooklynn walked up to him and embraced him with a hug, with him hugging her back. They then ended the hug. "Wow. You look beautiful."
"Thank you, i feel beautiful." Brooklynn said. "You look nice too, Granny." She said, looking at Tracy, referring to her as Granny.
"Thanks. Same to you." Tracy said.
"What is the matter with you?" Monica asked Olivia.
"What do you mean?" Olivia asked.
"I defend our right to put up the decorations and you tell Brooklynn she can take them all down?" Monica said.
"Thank you, Monica, for having my back about the Thanksgiving decorations. But i have decided that it will be in everybody's best interest if i just try to get along with Brooklynn." Olivia said.
"Have you really lost it?" You know that Brooklynn is exactly like her grandmother, Tracy. If you haven't figured it out, there is no getting along with her. If you wanna survive, you better stand up to her or get trampled. Those are your options. There is no in-between." Monica said.
"Where's Gobble?" Leo asked, now standing at the coffee-table with Cameron and Mickey.
"Who's Gobble?" Brooklynn asked.
"My favorite turkey. Mom put him up." Leo said.
"Maybe Brooklynn ate him." Cameron joked.
"Funny. Real funny." Leo said sarcastically. "But seriously, where's Gobble?"
"Why don't you ask Brooklynn?" Monica suggested as she walked up to Leo, Cameron and Mickey.
"You mean this guy?" Brooklynn asked as she went over to the sofa and got the folded-up turkey off of it.
"Why did you fold him up?" Leo asked.
"Yes, Brooklynn, why?" Monica asked.
"Um, he fell." Brooklynn said. "You know, i'm gonna put him right back up. Okay?" She said before she un-folded the paper turkey and then placed it back on the coffee-table.
The door-bell then rang.
"I'll get it." Said Olivia before she went to the front door and opened it, revealing Cameron's aunt Lulu Finley and her 9-year old son, Rocco Finely. Lulu was Alice's younger sister and Rocco was her nephew and another one of Cameron's cousins.
Lulu had long blond hair that went past her shoulders and stopped at her upper-back, and her eyes were blue.
Rocco had blond hair and blue eyes too. He wore a green short sleeve shirt, blue pants, and black slip-on lace-less sneakers with white trims.
"Knock, knock." Said Lulu.
"Well, look who's here. Hi. Happy almost Thanksgiving." Said Olivia. "Come in, come in." She said, standing aside, allowing Lulu and Rocco to enter inside, with Lulu closing the door afterwards.
"Rocco!" Leo and Cameron said excitedly as they and Mickey ran up to Rocco, who also ran up to them at the same time.
"Let's go upstairs and watch the Disney Channel." Leo said before he, Cameron, Mickey and Rocco ran upstairs to one of the guest bedrooms Cameron and Mickey were using to sleep in.
"Couldn't find a family of your own to celebrate with?" Brooklynn asked Lulu.
"Oh, good. Brooklynn." Lulu said happily. "You're here." She said sternly, with her happy expression turning into a frown.
"What is all the commotion in here?" Alice as she, Bill and Skye came into the living-room. "Lulu?"
"Hey, big sis. Surprise." Lulu said, greeting her sister, Alice.
"LULU!" Alice shouted excitedly before she ran up to Lulu and hugged her, who hugged her back, and both women screamed with excitement before they ended the hug. "Oh, my gosh, this is incredible! I can't believe it's actually you!"
"Well, believe it, 'cause it is." Lulu said. "Hi, Bill, hi, Skye."
"Hey." Bill greeted.
"Hi, Lulu." Skye added.
"Wait. Did you come alone with Thanksgiving?" Alice asked.
"Of course not, i brought Rocco with me." Lulu said.
"Well, where is my adorable nephew?" Alice asked.
"He went upstairs with Leo, Cameron and his dog. If you wanna go upstairs and say hello, you can." Lulu said.
"No, that's alright. I'll do it when they come back down." Alice said. "So where's my brother in-law, Dante? Is he upstairs too?" She asked, referring to Lulu's husband.
"Uh, no. Actually, he's back home in Jacksonville, Florida, at work." Lulu answered.
"You mean Dante didn't come with you? I thought he was outside in the car." Olivia said, a bit upset that her first son, Dante, Leo's older brother, wouldn't be joining her and the rest of the family for this Thanksgiving vacation.
"No, like i said, he's back home at work." Lulu said.
"Well, why didn't he call his job and let them know he was going out of the state with you and Rocco for the Thanksgiving holidays?" Alice asked.
"You know Dante. If there's work to be done, he's all over it." Lulu said.
"That doesn't sound like Dante. Usually, he takes time off from work to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with us." Bill said.
"Yeah, well...not this year." Lulu said. "So...what's going on this Thanksgiving? What are you guys up to?"
"We were just in the kitchen, making all of our versions of dressings." Skye said, referring to herself and Alice. "Wanna help?"
"Sure. But first i gotta get mine and Rocco's luggage out of the trunk of the car." Lulu said.
"You mean you drove all the way from Florida?" Alice asked in disbelief.
"No. Rocco and i flew here on a plane, like the rest of you. Then i called a cab and had it drive us to the auto place where i rented a car for Rocco and myself, and we drove here." Lulu explained.
"Oh. Well...that makes sense." Alice said.
"Yes. Yes, it does. Now, as i said before, i'd like to get mine and Rocco's luggage out of the car, then i want for all of us to sit down and talk together as a family." Said Lulu.
"It's a deal." Alice said, with a grin on her face.
