T10: Kitchen Conflict.
Back in the house, in the kitchen at the middle counter, Alice, Olivia, Skye and Monica were working on their dressings, with Lulu assisting Monica with her's.
"Alright, Skye, i'm gonna need this area to chop up my onions." Olivia said.
"No, no, no. Not before i chop up my parsley. I don't want your onions ruining my dressing." Skye said.
"Believe me, you don't need my onions to ruin your dressing." Olivia said.
"Girls, please." Monica said while cutting her celery.
"Just like you, moving in on somebody." Olivia said.
"You're the one to talk. I was the golden woman in the family before you came along." Skye said.
"Why don't you let that go? You hold on to things like a racoon." Olivia said.
"Now why did you have to go there? What are you talking about "holding onto something"?" Skye said.
"I'm glad i never had daughters." Monica said.
"Me too." Lulu added.
"Just push your little onions right over there." Skye said.
"So Alice...how are things with you, Bill and Cam in Tennessee?" Lulu asked, trying to change the subject.
"Oh, it's good. In fact, it's great. Our house is nice, my job as a waitress is good, Bill's job at the space center is great and Cameron's new school is perfect. You know, i was pretty skeptical about moving away to another state at first, but when Bill reminded me of the carnival disaster in Paris, Texas-and how we could've lost Cameron-as well as that big Dalmatians fiasco...we both decided it would be for the best. And it has been. Moving to Tennessee was the best decision we ever made." Alice explained.
"I'm sure it was." Lulu said. Her cellphone rang and she reached in her right pants pocket, got it out, and answered it. "Hello?" She said. "Hey, you." She said, with a grin on her face. "Are you almost here? You're on your way right now? Good. I'll see you then. Bye." She said before hanging up.
"Who was that on the phone just now?" Alice asked as Lulu placed her cellphone back in her right pants pocket.
"That was Dustin. He said he's on his way over here right now." Lulu answered.
"Oh. So he's coming here, huh?" Olivia said.
"Yeah, he is." Lulu said.
"May i ask why?" Olivia asked.
"Don't ask so surprised, Olivia, i explained this to you and everyone else earlier in the living-room. Dante had to work, he sent Dustin in his place, and he's gonna be spending the Thanksgiving holidays with us. And yes, that includes staying here." Lulu said.
"Oh. Well...okay." Olivia said.
"I'm gonna step outside and get some air. Be right back." Lulu said before leaving out of the kitchen.
"Want some company?!" Alice called.
"No!" The voice of Lulu snapped.
Monica, Olivia, Alice and Skye just shrugged their shoulders and went back to working on their dressings.
