Chapter 4: She's Mine
She knew the moment Carl turned to her what was about to happen. She knew at some point what his intentions would be. The way he looked at her, the way he ran his hand down her chest. She knew very well what was going on in his mind. She kept praying that she was wrong, but the moment he turned from his screen and walked towards her that he wasn't wasting any time. She knew how tightly he had bound the rope, and that her chances of getting away were slim but she couldn't help but try. Instinct took in as she began to struggle as he drew nearer. She watched as he unbuckled his pants, never taking his eyes off of her. She tried her best to keep her legs drawn together but he was too strong. He grabbed her thigh tightly and forced them to separate. Her heart raced a mile a minute as she felt the weight of his body press against her. She gasped in both pain and shock as she felt him inside her, it happened so quickly. She cried as she felt his body on hers, her thigh bruising as he held her leg tightly with one hand, while supporting himself up with another. She felt like an eternity was passing before she felt him seize up and drop on top of her. Her body trembled as she cried. She had tried so hard to fight back her tears but it was no use. Her panic was too overwhelming. She had been raped before but not like this.
She went pale as she realized Olivia was still there on the screen, having witnessed it all. For a brief moment they had locked eyes, but Amanda turned away. She couldn't face her. Not only was she living a nightmare but someone she knew, loved, and respected had seen her entire assault.
She gasped for air as Carl sat up, she no longer felt the crushing weight of his body on her. She laid there still, just trembling, tears streaming down her face. She listened as Carl got up and walked towards the desk. Slowly she turned to watch him speak to Olivia.
"Hope you enjoyed the show, Captain," he smirked as he ran his hand through his hair. "I'm going to let you go. Your detective and I need a little alone time now. I'll be in touch."
He never unmuted Olivia before he hung up from her. Amanda had caught one last glance at her friend before the screen went dark, and Carl turned around.
"Now where were we?" he asked, walking back towards her. "What? You didn't think we were finished did you?"
Amanda stared at him with a cold stone face, her crying came to a sudden stop as she felt frozen, just eyeing him.
"Yeah, I'm sorry about putting you on the spot like that in front of your Captain," he replied. "It made it a little bit more challenging for us to just get to know each other one on one."
She watched as he came closer to the bed again, looking her up and down. She shivered as he placed a hand on her knee and began to run his hand up and down her thigh.
"Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about you," he said, watching her eyes shift, trying to understand what he was saying. "You know, I read that 75% of women don't orgasm from sex alone. Isn't that crazy? I mean, how are two people supposed to experience each other if only one of them is getting what they want… what they crave."
Amanda just stared at him, feeling sick to her stomach. She began to shake, her body trembling as she felt his hand shift higher and higher up her thigh. He came closer to her, his body pressed back against hers. He began to kiss her neck, and ran his hands across her breasts, toying with her. She stared at the ceiling, trying to disassociate – disconnect from where she was. She tried to shift, from him force him away but it just made him hold her tighter. She bit her lip as she felt his hand reach between her legs, forcing her still as he began to touch her, make her squirm. She began to beg him to stop. She thought she had endured his horror, and yet she was still trapped beneath him – a victim to his games. She jerked as she felt him place his fingers inside of her, playing with her, feeling her.
"I'm going to make you mine," he whispered into her ear as he continued to violate her. He smirked as she squirmed beneath him, it just made the game more fun. He continued to toy with her until felt a shift in her tone, her body began to stiffen. She was just a subject to his little game, and he was about to conquer her. "You're mine."
"Please," she cried, begging him to stop but it only encouraged him. She tried not to let it happen, but she couldn't help it. Her body's natural response kicked in and she suddenly felt her back arch and her body overcome with a heightened sensation. Within a few moments she collapsed back onto the bed and he let go of her, smiling and eyeing her knowing he'd made her body react in such a way. He could control her like a puppet master.
"I think we're good for night, it's been long evening wouldn't you say?" he smirked as he adjusted his pants, watching her lay on the bed as she finally caught her breath. "You'll want to rest for tomorrow. I have a feeling we're just getting acquainted."
Amanda watched in horror as he winked at her before he left the room, locking the door behind her. As soon as he was gone, she laid there crying, shaking. Her whole body hurt. She felt horrified, and ashamed. She couldn't take another moment. His words haunted her. The image of enduring her trauma again felt unbearable. The image of Liv's horrified face was engrained in her mind. She kept running the events over and over in her mind, praying it was all some awful nightmare and that she'd wake up at any moment. The tears continued to flow, and she struggled to catch her breath between the sobs.
Nearly an hour passed before Amanda felt the exhaustion take over and she was no longer able to keep her burning eyes open. She slowly closed them, feeling empty and broken, before she completely passed out.
"Where is she?" Fin turned to see Elliot Stabler ask as he walked into the squad room. He nodded towards the bunks and Elliot immediately headed down the hall. "Thanks."
Fin sighed heavily as he turned back to his computer. He held his phone between his ear and his shoulder, balancing it while he typed. He was on hold with Jamie Masters, a hacker turned tech op. He was one of the best at cracking codes, and the first call Fin placed. He couldn't get Olivia's face out of his mind. As soon as she demanded them out of the room, Fin placed his call as Kat began to place hers. He assumed Olivia would want to speak to the Deputy Chief herself about Earl Clinton's release. However, when he heard her yell at her screen and watched her horrified face he wasn't sure. It wasn't a moment later he saw the tears streaming down her face. Finn passed the phone to Kat, asking her to keep redialing the number until Jamie answered. He stood from his desk and went to her door.
"Liv?" he didn't need a response. He heard the sound from her laptop, Amanda's screams. The bastard left the video on. She just looked up at him to go. He turned from her and headed back to his desk; he knew they had limited time.
After Carl had turned the screen off, Olivia just sat at her desk staring. She didn't move she didn't speak. It was as though it left her in a frozen state. Fin's protective nature took over. He wanted nothing more than to find his partner, but he needed Olivia to be at her best to do so. He tried to speak to her, break her from her trance but she was stuck. He didn't blame her. They were all running on no sleep, exhausted from their recent case. They'd barely slept in the last week, and now they were pressed against the clock to save one of their own. Not only that but Olivia was witness to her assault. His Captain had worked so hard to try and cope through her PTSD with Lewis, to now be subjected to watching another assault of someone she held so dearly was triggering.
Fin suggested she take a few minutes to close her eyes in the bunks. She finally spoke, objecting, how could she rest knowing Amanda was trapped with a psychopath. Finn insisted that he and Kat were doing everything they could to try and trace where the stream had been filmed from. A call to the Deputy was in order, and he insisted he could handle it. She needed to take a few, or else she wouldn't be any use to them. She needed to approach the situation with a clear head and being sleep deprived and forced to witness what she had was making her vision blurred. If she could just rest her eyes for an hour, and reset, she'd be able to help get Amanda home.
She finally nodded on the agreement he come get her as soon as they heard anything. Fin watched her walk down the hall. It'd been a long time since he'd seen her as such a mess. He couldn't blame her, it was taking everything in his power not to fall apart himself.
"Is she going to be okay?" Kat asked concerned when he sat back down. He looked at her when she made a comment, worried that if her Captain couldn't look at the case with a level head they were at a major disadvantage with just the two of them. "Sorry, I didn't mean-"
He knew. She didn't mean anything by it. Even the most resilient sometimes need help. As he had Jamie begin tracking the link and email address, Fin made a call to the one person he felt could help the situation.
The bond between Olivia and Elliot was unique, and he hoped his presence would be enough to give Olivia the strength she needed. He'd been there for her best and for her worst – he always knew what to say. Besides, it would be helpful to have the extra manpower. Kat was right, with Amanda missing, and Olivia's state undetermined, it only left the two of them. Elliot was an excellent detective and his knowledge and instinct would be a huge advantage.
He was snapped back to attention as he heard Jamie's voice on the phone. They had something.
Elliot slowly opened the door to see Olivia passed out on one of the lower beds. Her eyes were slightly swollen, and she was deep in sleep. He sighed as he closed the door and made his way to her. He leaned down and stroked the top of her head gently. He shook his head. Fin had filled him in briefly over the phone. As soon as he mentioned Olivia's name, Elliot began getting dressed and was out the door by the time Fin finished speaking. He wasn't sure Olivia's exact state as Fin wasn't sure himself. He just knew she'd need someone to lean on and that they could use his help. Elliot had met Amanda on several occasions, shared several laughs, he'd learned a bit about her and knew how much Olivia care for her. When Finn explained the situation as quickly as he could, Elliot knew how bad it was even with as little detail as was given.
"Shh, Liv it's just me," Elliot said gently, almost a whisper as Olivia stirred. He didn't want to startle her.
"Elliot?" she sighed as she rubbed her eyes, slowly sitting up, confused why he was there.
"Fin called me, he told me what happened," seeing her fearful face he continued. "We don't know anything new, they're still working on it."
Olivia sighed in slight relief. A moment of panic had taken over that they'd heard something worse and called Elliot. She nodded as he explained he was just there to help and wanted to make sure she was okay. He spoke as if Finn had only called him to help with the case, when in reality he wanted him there for her as well.
"Oh god, Elliot," she began to cry. Leaning against his chest as he took her into a tight embrace. "This is all my fault, if I had just stayed a few more minutes-"
"Liv, you know better than anyone that you can't do this. You can't blame yourself. The man who took her is a psychopath. For all you know he's been targeting her and if he wasn't able to take her earlier, he would've planned to do it another time. Running what if scenarios in your head will only make things worse. You need to let go of those what ifs to figure out how we can find her," he said as he pulled her from his chest and looked her straight in the eyes. "This is not your fault."
"What he did to her-"
"We'll get him," Elliot said firmly, confidently as he could. He took Olivia's hands in his and stared at her. "And he'll pay for this."
Olivia nodded. Holding back tears, the vision of Amanda's terrified expression stuck in her head. As she looked at Elliot's face, she knew what he was going to say and he was right. If they had any chance at getting Amanda back and getting Carl Clinton into custody they didn't have any time to waste. He only had Amanda hostage for a few hours and look what has already happened. He was a psychopath and there was no telling what he was capable of. He knew what he was doing, he had planned to make sure Olivia watch what he wanted to do with her for a reason. He wanted to shake her, throw her off her game, and he'd done just that. Amanda deserved more, she needed Olivia to be at her best to catch this son of a bitch – and when they did, he would pay.
Olivia and Elliot looked up as there was a knock at the door. Fin slowly opened it and sighed, "you okay, Liv?"
"Yeah, I'm good," she replied as she stood and wiped her eyes. "We got anything?"
"They're still processing the link to see if we can track it to an exact location. However, we got another security footage from the parkade. The car that sped out at the same time Amanda was taken, was a rental from Cars 4 Rent. Kat and I are heading down there now."
"Good, keep me posted."
"Will do," Fin said. Stopping before he left. "We'll get him, Liv."
"I know," she responded with a heavy sigh before looking at Elliot. She knew they would, she just hoped it was soon.
