Ummmm... Hi again. Please don't kill me! I promise I'll explain. So when I last updated was in November of 2014, and I was currently on the beautiful island of St. Lucia building housing for families in need with some of the most wonderful people I have ever been blessed to meet. I also was failing the class we had. So I was on academic probation for the rest of the year. However, because of that my advisor said I needed to change my major from what would get me my dream job to something I hate. Needless to say that I left that college. So last fall I started all over again at the wonderful College of Saint Benedict, an all girls college in St. Cloud Minnesota only an hour from home. St. Ben's is the girls side of a college couple, St. John's University is our brother college. I'm now a sophomore in college. I'm an Environmental studies major so I can get extremely busy so I again apologize for not updating but I also have been lacking ideas so... I'm here begging for any suggestions, you can pm me any ideas or idea stories. But without further ado here is:
Chapter 5
Fiona peeked inside her bedroom to see if Georgie was there, and to her surprise found all three children there. Fiona smiled gently and went over to Jonas' room to give the report; she came in the room and was surprised to see him sitting in bed waiting for her.
"They're all in there aren't they?" Jonas said. Fiona nodded, she walked over to edge of his bed; he scooted over so there was enough space for her to slip in and sleep. Fiona snuggled up close to him; she did not care anymore about the rules that their community had imposed upon them. Jonas smiled, placed an arm around her and began stroking her wavy bright red hair. Fiona leaned in close and whispered, "How are we going to get the cameras into Gabby's house?"
"Trick him, and put one in every room and several on the kids themselves, their head most likely." Jonas answered confidently.
"You will tell the kids what you are doing right?" Fiona asked.
"Nop!" Jonas grinned.
"What! Jonas you have to tell them." Fiona said angrily, pulling away gently.
"Fiona, we will tell them when it's all done. It will be the best present they've ever gotten." Jonas said soothingly pulling her gently closer.
"Christmas what is it and presents what are they?" Fiona asked annoyed at herself.
"Did you get the memory of the family?" Jonas asked.
"Yeah." Fiona replied.
"What they are celebrating is Christmas, the birth of our savoir Jesus the Christ. Presents are thing you give to each other to show your love for them, but you're the best present I've ever gotten here." Jonas added, leaning over and kissed her right on the lips. Fiona lost herself in that kiss the rush of joy, excitement, desire, and tenderness of it. Fiona knew that Jonas loved her more than anything on earth and that if they had any chance of Gabriella, George, and Georgie living with them they would have to work together. Jonas smiled gently at her and Fiona smiled back at him, leaned closer to him and fell asleep.
Next morning Fiona awoke to the smell of eggs and bacon. She yawned, stretched and got out of bed. Fiona looked around the room trying to find something to cover her pajamas and found a beautiful purple silk robe draped over the back of the chair in the room. She pulled it on and as she went down the stairs, she could already hear the sound of the children's laughter.
"Morning!" Jonas said, "Two cups of sugar, George, not eight."
Fiona smiled, and scooted around the busy children to Jonas. He pecked her lightly on the forehead, pointed to the corner farthest away from them, and whispered, "There's the camera." Fiona nodded.
"What are we making?" Fiona asked.
"Gingerbread, Gingersnaps, and Chocolate-chip cookies." Jonas answered with a smile. Fiona grinned.
"How much ginger?" Jonas asked.
"Four teaspoons for Gingerbread and two teaspoons for Gingersnaps." Fiona read aloud.
"Thanks sweet." Jonas replied.
"No problem, four cups of flour Georgie." Fiona said.
By the end of the day, they had made three platters of sweets. They sat around the blazing fire wrapping gifts.
"All right what exactly are 'white elephant' gifts?" Fiona asked.
"They are a gift under twenty dollars and are usually very funny." Jonas said, taping up a big box full of paper and a tiny picture frame.
"What time's the party?" Gabby asked.
"Two." George said.
"Bet anything Dad will be there."
"Yeah and drunk enough to kill."
Fiona did not like the sound of that; they had to get them out of there.
"Jonas," Fiona said, Jonas nodded.
"Gabriel, would you kindly get Georgie ready for bed?" he asked.
"Yes Jonas. Georgie come on let's get ready for beddie." Gabriel said, helping the exhausted Georgie up the stairs and George and Gabriella began to go up with them but Jonas said, "George, Gabriella, we would like to talk to you."
They turned around slowly, looking at their feet. Fiona glance at Jonas, how were they going to explain this?
"Look at me." Jonas said his voice firm but kind, a splitting sound of the receiver's, George and Gabby looked at him.
"Even if your father is there tomorrow don't let him affect your joy, everything will be fine. Do you understand?" Jonas said.
"Yes Jonas.'' they said.
"Go on get some rest." Jonas said. They ran up the stairs.
"Is he going to be there?" Fiona asked.
"I don't know, love, for their sake, I hope not." Jonas said and he turned to look at her, his eyes were on fire, Fiona ran into his arms.
"Oh Jonas." she sobbed.
"Sh Fiona, everything will be fine." he said, stroking her hair, Fiona clung to him and Jonas held her close and after a while gathered her in his arms and brought her up stairs. He sat down on the edge of their bed rocking back and forth with his Fiona.
"Fiona," he said, after he had slipped her off his lap and on to the bed.
"Yes?" she asked. Jonas slipped off the bed and onto one knee.
"Fiona. Will you marry me?" he asked, Fiona stared at him.
"Oh Jonas! Yes! Oh, yes, yes, yes!" she cried, hugging him. Jonas hugged her.
"I love you." Jonas whispered and he slipped a small beautiful ring on to her left ring finger.
"I love you, too." Fiona whispered.
They then changed into their pajamas and crawled into bed. Fiona snuggled close to Jonas, and he draped an arm around her and they slept.
