(A.N. this is probably going to be a short chapter but I'm planning on uploading two chapters today so the next one will be longer. Thanks to everyone who has given their comments or feedback, I really appreciate it. I hope you're enjoying the story so far and please let me know what you think :) )
A few weeks passed and the girls had been settling into their new home. Lilliana was still cautious around her parents and older brother but she had become very close to her twin. Gabriella was fitting in well with her group of friends but Troy had still been on her back a bit but she was never taunted or attacked by the jocks – only by Troy – which surprised her.
When Gabriella got home from school that afternoon, she smiled as she found her sister waiting for her in the living room. As the girl hugged her, she kissed her forehead. "Hey Livie, how was school?"
"It was good, my teacher liked my artwork that I've been doing."
"That's awesome! I'm very proud of you... Come with me for a minute." Gabriella put her bag down before turning to her sister. "I've got a surprise for you." She sat the six-year-old down on her bed and got out her laptop. Hiding the screen, she opened the Face-time app and called the number before setting the screen in front of Lilliana when the video call was answered.
Lilliana gasped, squealing. "Tatum! Clara!"
The two girls grinned. "Hi Olivia, we miss you."
"I miss you too."
"Why aren't you at school?" Clara asked.
"Gabriella and I had to move to..." She turned to her sister. "Bria, how do you say the name?... We moved to Albuquerque." She said, repeating after the junior. "I go to East Primary now."
"How far is Albuquerque from Denver, can we still have play dates?" Tatum asked.
Gabriella answered. "It's a bit far girls, you're in Colorado and Albuquerque's in New Mexico, so it would probably take six or seven hours to get from one to the other."
"Does that mean we can't be friends anymore?"
Gabriella saw the sadness appear in all their eyes and quickly answered. "Of course you girls can still be friends. Just because you don't see each other everyday doesn't mean you have to stop being friends. You can talk to each other whenever you want, we can face-time and it'll almost be like you're all together again." They all nodded and in the background they heard a woman calling the two girls for afternoon tea. "Alright well you girls have to go, but I'll talk to your parents about when you girls are free to face-time and we'll set up another call."
"Thank you Gabriella, bye Olivia." Clara said on behalf of both the two girls.
"Bye Clara, bye Tatum." Olivia said before Gabriella hung up the call. As soon as she did, the little girl hugged her. "Thank you Bria."
The junior rubbed her sister's back while they were in the embrace. "You're welcome Livie, I'm sorry it took a while to organise but I know that you've been missing Tatum and Clara so I'm glad that you got to talk to them."
