(This is gonna be a bit of a shorter chapter and the next one as well but the next ones after will be longer and it'll make sense later on :) )

A few weeks passed and Chad had kept his promises to Troy and Gabriella. Scott and Blaire had been coming around more often trying to build a relationship with Gabriella and the girl felt like she was on track to trusting them. Gabriella and Troy walked out of their chemistry class headed to their next period which was gym for Troy and US history for Gabriella. He wrapped her in a side hug whispering. "Bye Baby, enjoy history."

"Have fun in gym."

Gabriella walked through the mostly empty halls, a result of their teacher letting them out a few minutes late. She felt a shooting pain in the back of her head before everything went black.

When Troy walked to the lunch table after talking to his Dad after class, he immediately noticed that Gabriella wasn't there. "Hey guys, does anyone know where Gabriella is?" They all shook their head, responding that they hadn't seen her since homeroom. They all checked their phones, seeing no message from the girl. Troy scrunched his eyebrows. "We had chem and she walked off to history. She wouldn't just leave without telling anyone."

Worry filled the Wildcats as they decided to walk to Jack's office to see if he knew anything. Troy knocked on the door to his Dad's office, entering when given permission. "Dad have you seen Gabriella today?"

"Not since this morning why?"

"Well no one's seen her and we're getting kinda worried."

Jack thought for a minute. "Well have a look around if not, try checking in with the office, see if she's gone home."

"Alright, thanks Dad, we'll keep looking." The juniors searched every place they could think of where Gabriella could be and still could not find her so they decided to head up to the office and spoke with the receptionist. "Excuse me, we're looking for one of our friends and we can't find her anywhere. We're wondering if she maybe signed out to go home. Her name's Gabriella Montez."

"Ahh yes, a woman came in earlier to sign out Gabriella."

"Ok thank you so much." They walked out of the office. "Maybe she felt sick or something and my - I mean her mom signed her out." As the gang headed back to the cafeteria, a weight lifted off their shoulders, Troy pulled out his phone to message Gabriella. Hey Brie we spoke to the office and they said you were signed out. Are you ok?

He got a response back almost instantly. I'm ok just not feeling too great. I didn't feel like staying the rest of the day

Troy felt better having spoken to Gabriella and sent his reply. Alright just wanted to make sure you were ok. I'll see you later feel better soon :) . He put his phone away and went back to the cafeteria with the gang to continue the rest of the day.
