Gabriella had been completely miserable in Denver with her being beaten to a pulp whenever David deemed necessary and Scott and Blaire torturing her with messages from Troy about him and the twins. She looked down to the bloody rips in her jeans and scoffed, remembering David describing the cuts as a minor punishment for her misbehaviour.

She shivered as she thought of her time in the basement, having no concept of how long she'd been stuck with her kidnappers. Her nausea was strong having survived off the little food and water she'd been offered and the constant beatings from whoever came to pick up drugs from the gang had her head spinning.

She was struggling to keep her eyes open and she felt awful. Wanting to bring herself comfort and some sense of normalcy, she whispered her and Olivia's special good night to herself not caring what time it actually was.

She was brought from her thoughts by a sarcastic laugh. "I cannot believe you still do that." She glared at David not responding.

Vivien looked at her surprisingly gently. "Do you still do that every night even when she's not here?" Gabriella only shrugged in response.

"What part of you respond when we talk to you don't you understand?" She prepared herself for another one of David's beatings.

When she had the strength to open her eyes, she found Vivien beside her with some first aid supplies to treat her. When her eyes met Gabriella's, she smiled sadly. "You can go back to sleep Gabriella, I'm not gonna hurt you, I promise." The girl didn't have the strength to keep her eyes open and surrendered to the sleep she desperately needed.

When she woke up the next day, she found Vivien sitting with her. "It's just me, the rest of them are out." She came towards Gabriella and sat below her, placing her hands on the girl's knees. "I'm so sorry Gabriella, I'm so sorry." Gabriella didn't respond, making the woman sigh. "I know you don't trust me and I understand why but I want to make it up to you."

"C-can you just tell me why?"

Vivien sighed. "What your father, I mean, what David told you was a lie. Your parents weren't in our gang. We knew Maria and Greg from high school, we were all really good friends. David and I got mixed up in the gang but your parents never did. They were so excited when they fell pregnant with you and I-I was so jealous because that's all I wanted but David, he never wanted kids. And I didn't want them in this lifestyle, it's not right." She sighed. "I've regretted this ever since but one day it got too much and we took you, they had no idea it was us. We just left town and settled here. We were scared that they'd find out and David couldn't risk that as he was climbing through the ranks so he-he got rid of them. I'm so sorry Gabriella."

Gabriella's eyes filled with tears at the confession and she almost felt bad for the woman she'd thought to be her mother. "What about Olivia, why did he take her?"

"As far as I know, another member at the time had a grudge against the family and saw Olivia by herself as the perfect opportunity to get even. You'd been asking for a sibling for ages so David said he'd take her, god knows what would've happened to that little girl if he didn't. But you don't have to worry about her, that man is long gone now, she's safe with her family again."

"Can I just ask one more thing?" The woman nodded. "Why am I here?"

Vivien shook her head. "I don't know what he was thinking Gabriella, I can't control him anymore, I have no idea what's going on in his head... You know what, I can't take it anymore."

"Can't take what anymore?"

Vivien ignored her and pulled out Gabriella's phone, handing it to the girl before pulling out her own and dialling a number. "Police please." Gabriella's eyes widened. "I'd like to turn myself in. My husband, two of our... interns and I have done something terrible. We've hurt a young girl repeatedly and she doesn't deserve it. I want you to come and get her so she can get the help she needs and I need you to put us away... permanently." She listened to the speaker. "They're not here at the moment so if you can come in twenty minutes or else they'll know something's wrong and try to run. We're at the abandoned store on main street."

Gabriella didn't know what to say. "Why would you do that?"

"Because it was the right thing, we don't deserve to be free after what we did to you. I can't live with myself having hurt the little girl I raised as my daughter. I loved you and Olivia as my own and I'm so sorry for how much we hurt you."

The twenty minutes passed, in which David, Scott and Blaire were all back in the basement when the police entered. "Put your hands in the air." David pulled a gun out of his jacket and held it to Gabriella's head. "Sir, drop your weapons and put your hands in the air."

He shrugged. "In for a penny in for a pound." He knocked Gabriella in the back of the bead with the bottom of his gun, making her fall unconscious before all four were taken into custody.

Gabriella woke to a female voice in front of her. "Gabriella, you gotta wake up for me Sweetie." She woke up and saw officer Harris. "Gabriella, do you remember me?"

Gabriella nodded slightly. "Officer Harris." She mumbled before she closed her eyes again and felt herself being moved into the ambulance.

Two hours after Gabriella had been found, Troy got a phone call from an unknown number. "Hello this is Troy Bolton speaking."

"Troy, it's Adam Charles from the Albuquerque police station, I've just received a call from Denver saying that they've found Gabriella and she's currently in Saint Joseph's hospital being treated. Her kidnappers have been taken into custody."

"What happened? How did they find her? Is she ok?"

"I'm not allowed to disclose any information on the case but all I can say is that one of the kidnappers handed them in. And unfortunately I have no knowledge on Gabriella's state only the hospital she is being treated in."

Troy sighed. "Thank you so much officer Charles, please tell them I'll be there as soon as I can." He messaged Gabriella's number: I don't know if you have your phone back but I'll be there as soon as I can Baby x He ran downstairs to his parents. "They found Gabriella, she's in hospital, I'm going up to get her."

Lucille's eyes widened. "Is she ok? Do you want one of us to come with you?"

"I don't know, I only know which hospital she's at, they couldn't tell me yet but it's ok, I'll go, I know you'll have to look after the twins."

Lucille nodded. "Alright, though you will need some information from us as we are her guardians so I'll write it all out for you. Are you leaving now?" He nodded. "Alright, go get ready and get whatever you need, it'll be done by the time you're finished."

The boy ran upstairs, almost colliding with his sister. "Oh sorry Lil, I didn't see you there."

"What's happening?" He looked hesitant to tell her. "Please Troy, tell me what's going on with Bria."

"They found her Lil, I don't know a lot because they wouldn't tell me but they found her and I'm going to get her."

"Can I come?" Troy shook his head slowly. "Please Troy, I want to come, I want to see my Bria."

"I can't let you come Angel." He kneeled down to her level. "If I had my way, I'd bring you with me without a thought, I'd take you straight there to see her. But I don't think I can convince Mom and Dad, not this time Lil, I'd never be able to convince them to let me bring you out of state away from them."

She looked at him with tear-filled eyes. "Please Troy."

He pulled her in a hug. "I'm sorry Lil but I promise, I'll bring Gabriella back as soon as I can and I'll call you as soon as I'm there to tell you what's going on."

"But Lucille and Jack will just say that I'm too young."

"I won't let them Angel, I'll talk to you separately, you'll just have to pretend that we're talking about something else but I'll tell you everything Gabriella wants you to know ok?"

"Promise?"

"I promise."

Lilliana nodded and hugged him. "Ok Troy, be careful and please bring back my Bria."

He kissed her forehead. "I will Angel." Troy packed his stuff in his truck, said goodbye to Jacob and took the necessary items from his parents before he went on his way to Denver.
