(A.N. Here's the next chapter for Tomorrow's Another Day, sorry it's been so inconsistent! I've got a busy next 2 weeks but I should be back to posting the chapters more regularly after that. Thank you everyone for reading and for your feedback, I really appreciate it, I hope you enjoy the next chapter!)

The next day, the gang decided to spend their lunch break in the gym in order to give the couple a little more freedom and to give Gabriella a break from the watchful eyes of their classmates. The girls struggled to hide their smiles as they watched the couple interact. Whilst the girls and guys were having separate conversations, they fought to keep a neutral expression as they watched Troy – who was still involved in his conversation with the guys – gently pull Gabriella to lounge against him from her position between his legs, wrapping his arms around her waist and placing a kiss on her neck before returning his full attention to his friends. They enjoyed the way Gabriella seemed so comfortable with the boy and it was a shock to see Troy so open with his affection.

Their attention was brought away when they heard the boys talking about the championship game that would be occurring within the next few weeks. Sharpay immediately speaking up. "Speaking of the championship game, what's happening with homecoming?"

The guys looked at her curiously. "What about it?"

"Well are we going as a group? What are we organising?"

They looked at her confused so Taylor shook her head. "Don't worry about it, we'll sort it out and let you guys know." They nodded along and went back to their conversation. "So I guess we'll have to go out and buy dresses soon."

Sharpay perked up. "Oh my god! We can go shopping this weekend!"

Gabriella spoke up softly. "What kind of dresses are we getting, I've never been to a homecoming?"

"YOU'VE NEVER BEEN TO HOMECOMING!?"

The girls' yelling brought the boys out of their conversation as Gabriella answered. "No, it wasn't a big deal in Denver and I always had to look after my sister."

She felt Troy tighten his arms around her waist, giving her a light squeeze. "You'll enjoy it Brie, we'll make sure of it." The bell rang before anyone else could talk and the boys stood to head off to the change room for basketball and the girls to get ready for biology. As they reached the ground, Troy pulled Gabriella back into his arms, placing a kiss on her cheek. "I'll see you later Baby, enjoy bio."

"See you later and have fun at basketball." She noticed the girls' grins as they walked to their lockers. "What is it?"

"You two are so cute." Martha smiled. "Has Troy asked you to homecoming yet?"

Gabriella shook her head. "No, I just thought since we were together that we'd be going together, why? Is he supposed to ask me?"

Kelsi smiled gently. "I wouldn't stress Gabi, Troy probably thinks the same thing."

Sharpay also interjected. "Troy's never really been the type of guy to make a big deal about asking a girl to homecoming either."

"Though he never really went and he never had a serious relationship before Gabriella either." Kelsi countered.

The conversation was dropped as Sharpay continued, discussing what they were wanting to wear to the dance before they entered the classroom. After finishing their work and seeing that there was only ten minutes left, the teacher gave the class the remaining time to chat. Gabriella choosing to restart the homecoming conversation. "Are you hoping any of the guys will ask you to homecoming?"

Taylor shrugged. "Not really, it depends who asks, I don't know if I'd accept." They looked to Sharpay as she stopped making eye contact. "Shar, got something to share?"

The blonde laughed nervously, an uncharacteristic trait of the girl. "Well I was kinda hoping to go with Zeke but I don't think he'd ask me."

Gabriella fought a smile, knowing information her friend didn't. "What if you asked him?" They looked at her like she was ridiculous. "Hear me out, Zeke's rather shy and he doesn't seem like the type to go out of his way to ask if he thinks he'll get rejected, so why don't you ask him?"

"Girls don't really ask guys to homecoming and what if he says no?"

She shrugged slightly. "Does it really matter who asks who and if he says yes, you'll know he likes you too and if he says no, you can still go as friends but you'll have your answer." Sharpay still seemed hesitant. "Just think about it."

Before the conversation could continue further, the bell rang for class to end and they packed up their belongings. Sharpay, Martha and Taylor hurried off to their extracurricular activities leaving Gabriella and Kelsi to walk to their lockers together. As they got out the door, they saw Chad and Taylor surrounded by people 'aww'ing, the latter stood with a basketball in her hand with the message: 'I don't dance but will you be my date to homecoming?' Both girls smiled as they watched Taylor smile and nod, giving the boy a hug. Deciding to give their friend a moment with the boy, they continued to their lockers and Gabriella turned to Kelsi. "Are you hoping for anyone to ask you?"

Kelsi shrugged slightly. "I'd like to be asked but I don't think I will but it's ok." Seeing Gabriella about to speak, she decided to change the subject. "You and Troy are really cute, it's nice to see you both like that."

Gabriella looked at her curiously. "What do you mean?"

"Well it's nice to see you more relaxed and you seem really comfortable and happy with Troy." The girl nodded responding 'I am.' "And I've never seen Troy like this, it's not that he was a player or anything but he never had a serious relationship and he's never seemed to be as invested in anyone as he is with you." Seeing the disbelieving look, Kelsi continued. "I'm serious, Troy's always been quite private, he's popular but no one really knows much except for the basics of what everyone knows. I've known him since we were in kindergarten and I've never seen him as close to someone as he is with you, it's just nice to see him show affection the way he does with you. Your relationship is sweet." Seeing Troy approaching from the corner of her eye, Kelsi left it at that as he stopped beside them. "I'll see you later."

After Kelsi left, Troy looked to his shocked girlfriend. "Everything ok?"

She shook away her thoughts and smiled. "Yeah everything's fine, are you ready to go?" Troy nodded and they collected their belongings and headed out the door of the high school.
