Chapter:2
"Why am I here? What happened?" Naruto asked, seeing that he was in the same grass field where he proposed to Cereza.
"It's about time you got here." A man wearing a white hoodie and some jeans.
"What the fuck I thought I beat you centuries ago." Naruto looking at his inner darkness for the first time in over 500 years.
"You beat me but darkness is always there.'' The dark half said, staring at his counterpart.
"Yeah, but that doesn't explain why you are back." Naruto said
"Like I said, I'm your darkness, too many negative thoughts and I will always come back." The dark half said smirking
"What the hell does that mean? " Naruto asked staring at his darker half
"You fool,when you were sealed away those sages didn't put you to sleep, you were awake thinking, hoping, dreaming, and praying for a way to get out to find Cereza. You even gave up hope several times both of you getting out and of you finding her. I'm your darkness, your other half as long as you live I exist too." he said, getting up and standing in front of Naruto
"Fine then what do I have to do?" Naruto asked, walking up to his darker half.
"You accept me. You accept yourself. Then our halves become whole once more." the darker half said
"You/I sound like a kingdom hearts character." They both said in unison before laughing.
"Can I really move past my own failures? I failed myself. I failed Cereza. Do I truly deserve to be with her?" Naruto thought before he felt a presence behind him turning around he saw Cereza who winked at him then blew him a kiss before disappearing into mist.
"Hmph even when she's not here she's teasing me. " Naruto said, turning back to his counterpart.
"Umbra witches seem dominating until they find the person they love most; they hide their love behind their dominating lust." White said
"Lumen sages were taught to hold back our emotions."
"But no lumen sage would pass out from seeing some womans' tits." The darker half said smirking , almost laughing.
"Hey, her tits are huge. I'm surprised I didn't die from the shock of seeing them." Naruto wipes a bit of blood from his nose.
"I know right the size is too big to be natural.It has to be some technique." White said, rubbing his chin curiously while smiling.
"As much as I enjoyed this, I think it's time for this to end." Naruto said, staring at his darker half before walking toward him.
"You're right." White said, walking towards his counterpart.
"Hey before we do this what's your name? Naruto asked, standing in front of his counterpart, holding out his hand to shake.
"It was white but call me Yami," Karna said, pulling off his hood to show a face that Naruto had never seen before(Karna's face from fate).
"Weird, you didn't look like this last time we met. Naruto said looking at karna strangely.
"That spear of ours is more special than we thought." Karna said, shaking Naruto's hand before a bright light appeared and consumed them both.
"Just hope you're ready for what comes next." Naruto heard as the light died down and Naruto left his mind.
"Real world"
Naruto wakes up and remembers his fight with ivy all the way until he sees her breast causing him to pass out.
"Damn that's a dirty trick." He said, recalling his spear before heading to his room to rest.
" The next day"
Naruto woke up the next day feeling different. His body felt stronger and lighter, but most importantly his mind felt clear and content; it seemed like permanently accepting his own darkness changed him more than he thought.
" 5 years later "
It's been 5 years since Naruto met his darkness again and conquered it for good this time.
Ever since that day Naruto had to train more to get used to his new body. His strength and speed had increased a surprising amount he also noticed that his fire had gotten strong as well he could tell because of the fact the it was red the same color fire Karna the original user of Vasavi shakti used in his lifetime
Naruto found out one more thing: he can use the full power of the spear. One night while Naruto was sleeping the spear just activated and showed its true form before covering itself in fire before the fire died down showing the spear at its full length.
Naruto now has to train to be able to use a higher percent of the spear's power but naruto knows he can't use the spear's full power without karna's armor which has been said to be lost but naruto thinks the spear holds the key.
Naruto is finishing his training when balder comes into the room with another woman following him.
"Naruto, why don't you say hello to Jeanne here." Balder said while Naruto was finishing his workout.
"Jeanne, why does that name sound familiar?" Naruto asked while thinking about where he could have heard such a name before Jeanne interrupts his thought process.
"I'm an umbra witch just like Cereza." Jeanne said looking at Naruto with a smirk.
"So your Naruto Cereza talked about you a lot. I wonder how much you truly care for her." She said walking over to him before standing across from him starting a staring match between the two of them for a few minutes before Jeanne Pulled out her gun aiming one of them at Naruto holding the other one on her hip.
"Let's see if you're as strong as she said" Jeanne said while doing the come here taunt with her gun.
"Fine then let's see what you got." Naruto said before pulling out his spear causing Jeanne to smirk.
"Overcompensating for something are we?" She asked playfully.
"Jeanne if you really wanna know you can find out later" Naruto said staring at her aiming his spear before Jeanne starts shooting both her guns six times in a row before Naruto uses light speed to stop time, catch the bullets and aim them back at Jeanne.
Jeanne dodge the bullets then dashes at naruto trying to engage in hand-to-hand combat with her barely getting close due to naruto swinging his spear almost hitting her several times. Jeanne punches Naruto in the face and chest several times before Naruto kicks under her feet tripping her but just before she falls on her big ass she lands on her hands flipping a few feet away from Naruto.
Naruto throws his spear to catch Jeanne off guard which works for a split second before Naruto punches her in the jaw before Jeanne flinches from said hit and turns into a swarm of bats flying all around Naruto before reforming right behind him just before kicking his arm and trying to disarm him which she did not even a second later Naruto hits her in the stomach with the palm of his hand sending her flying before she transforms into a bird and lands on ground going back to her human form.
"So you aren't all bark I can definitely see what cereza saw in you ,but I have things to do later darling" Jeanne said with a wink before leaving the room.
Naruto eases his stance before fully relaxing and calls back his spear before dismissing it, letting the spear fade into gold particles, while thinking about what happens next.
"Where is Cereza and what is Balder's plan?"
" Bayonetta "
Bayonetta just finished killing some low level angels. That's all she done kill angels and try to remember her past. She figures her necklace may help but every time she looks at it all she gets a headache and sees a vision of herself and a blurred out man standing across from her before the vision cuts out.
"Maybe I'm not supposed to get my memories back, maybe I lost them for a good reason. There's only one way to find out." She says holding the necklace in the palm of her hand staring at it slightly lost in her own mind.
"I have to find the man that gave this to me and see what he knows, maybe then I can find out who I really am." Bayonetta says putting back on the necklace.
"But for now it's about time I lea-bayonetta I found you again" Bayonetta was interrupted by Luka, a man in his late twenties to early thirties who's been chasing her for over fifteen years.
"What is it you want from dear Luka as you can see I am quite busy." Bayonetta said, turning to Luka smirking.
"Tell me Bayonetta, have you ever read a book called Romeo and Juliet?" Luka asks while walking around Bayonetta.
"Why of course I have, why do you ask? Bayonetta asked curiously
"Because I found an old story from the days of lumen sages and umbra witches that predates it a lumen sage falls for a witch but just before they try to leave there war-torn lives behind the witch disappears and the sage is killed.Tell me Bayonetta does this sound familiar to you at all?" Luka asks
"It does ring a bell but tell me where did you read this from?" Bayonetta asked thinking that if she may find out who the lumen sage and witch are it might help her recover her memories.
"Well it turns out that William Shakespeare's ancestor was a lumen sage. His ancestor passed down the story for generations until young William decided to make a story of some degree similar to it." Luka said
"Get to the point, Luka. I don't think you followed me here just to tell me about some old book." Bayonetta said, trying to hurry and end the conversation.
"Well the old story says that even though he wasn't well liked by his comrades he still was the most humble of the sages before being seduced and corrupted by the witch before she betrayed him leading to his execution. I just wanted to ask if you knew anything about that sage or witch." Luka asked while walking over to Bayonetta.
"I don't know Luka, maybe a name could help clear things up. Bayonetta said while thinking about what she heard from luka.
"Oh yea my bad from what I remember the sage's name was Nar-bayonetta are you alright." Luka stopped midway because he looked over and noticed Bayonetta holding her head in pain.
While Bayonetta is holding her head she hears a feminine voice whisper a name Naruto just as the voice finishes saying the word her headache vanishes and pieces of her memory come back all she remembers is a fight.
"Flashback Vigrid 500 years ago"
The sky is dark not because it is night but because it is a solar eclipse, a moment where both clans are at their weakest but still they fight trying to wipe the other off the face of the earth.
Bodies of dead lumen sages and angels and injured umbra witches litter the concrete ground but two people were still fighting. From a distance we can see Bayonetta trying to hit Naruto using her wicked weaves with Naruto countering using light speed to dodge all of her hits.
Realizing her hits aren't landing, Bayonetta jumps back to get some distance for her opponent.
"I didn't think one of your kind could be so powerful, it's a shame though you're more handsome then most of your friends.
"There are no friends of mine. They only came to make sure that I died. I am an outcast among the lumen sages after all." Naruto said not caring about telling the umbra witch such information
"Really I thought the lumen sages were all perfect and proper gentlemen. I didn't think they could have a black sheep among them, guess I was wrong."
"Lumen sages aren't proper or perfect; there are just men who claim to have been enlightened just because they pray to jubileus and shame those who pray to the weaker gods." Naruto said slowly lowering his spear
"Well they sound like a bunch of bullies don't they.So that just leaves the question what makes you an outcast?" Bayonetta asked curiously
"You seem like an interesting witch ,but excuse me if I don't know who you are." Naruto said, making sure to keep his eyes on her but taking a second to stare at the eclipse.
"I'll tell you if you can keep me entertained, sage." Bayonetta said, taunting Naruto with her guns as her body started glowing showing the part of the moon was out automatically activating umbra climax
"Fine then show me your real power witch." Naruto said, aiming his spear at Bayonetta as the solar eclipse fully ended and the full moon was out.
"Seems a little unfair, only I can go all out. I can hold back some if you want." Bayonetta said, smirking, waiting for him to answer.
"No need." He said getting in a fighting stance.
"I'm Naruto the forsaken sage and I accept your challenge." Naruto said
"Well then Naruto make sure to keep me entertained." Bayonetta said gaining some respect for the sage.
They rush at each other and clash and Bayonetta uses the gun on her right foot to clash with Naruto's spear jab.
They jump back from there clash then Bayonetta shoots 16 shots while running towards Naruto while he is spinning his spear blocking each bullet before covering the spear in orange fire slashing at Bayonetta she duck's under the slash and kicks Naruto in the stomach causing him to him to double over in pain just as Bayonetta leans over for a kick Naruto dodges and sweeps the button part of his staff under her which Bayonetta jumps over and as she lands on the tip of Naruto's spear.
"Come I'm sure you've got more than that. I don't want you to be the only one that's satisfied here." She said after back flipping off his spear and landing back on the back on the concrete ground.
"I can't let the lady down now can I." Naruto said, covering himself in fire before resuming their fight.
A few hours later
Naruto and Bayonetta are resting back to back after their long battle while the sun is slowly rising. Both of them look up to see the sun.
"Looks like you outlasted me after all." Bayonetta said as she slowly got up to see the fact that Naruto's sounds are slowly if not fully healed.
"I won so keep your end of the deal." Naruto said slowly getting up as well despite his wound having already healed his stamina is still recovering.
"My name is ...
"End flashback"
"Bayonetta Bayonetta" she heard someone calling her name she looks over to see luka staring at her with a worried and confused look on his face.
"Bayonetta are you okay?. Luka asked
"Yes Luka I'm fine seeing as you got me this important information you get to ask me 3 questions. Bayonetta said holding up the number three.
"Whose Naruto to you?" Luka asked curiously
"I don't know but I plan to find out." She said
"Did you kill my father?'' Luka asked mustering up the strength to ask said question.
"No he was used and then killed by someone else." Bayonetta said sighing thinking about Antonios death
"Why didn't you tell me?" Luka asked angered by Bayonetta's answer.
"Because either you have gotten yourself killed or you wouldn't believe me." Bayonetta said
"Why should I believe you and why tell me now?" Luka said, starting to calm down as he thought about his father's death.
"Because Luka I've never lied to you before and like I said before I didn't want you going off and getting yourself killed." Bayonetta said
"You know you're not so bad after all, Bayonetta thank you." Luka said, pulling out his grappling hook, latching on to a random building and swinging away.
"Naruto, maybe he was the one who gave me this necklace." She said looking down at her crescent moon necklace.
"But Luka said in the reports he found Naruto is dead and I killed him. Maybe Rodin knows something" she said, jumping into random buildings until she got to her destination.
" Gates of hell "
"Bayonetta, good to see you here for information or a job or you still want the chainsaw on your arms?" Rodin asked, ready to serve.
"Right Now I'm here for information. Does the name Naruto ring any bells? She asked.
"Hmm yeah it does, Naruto wasn't exactly a lumen sage he was taught there ways but was never considered one from what I remember he was the son of a disgraced sage and a normal woman.The mother died due to childbirth complications and the father was executed when Naruto was 8 for ill practice and experimenting on Naruto." Rodin said, rubbing his chin.
"What happened to him?" Bayonetta asked
"No one true knows but I heard before he disappeared he got ahold of one of my old creations Vasavi Shakti. I made the spear for one of the old gods Indra because I owed him a favor. Indra then gave it to a demigod named Karna, the hero of charity ,but Karna died before he could use it so I originally thought it was lost or destroyed but it seems Naruto found it and bonded with it." Rodin said
"So what can tell me about the spear?" Bayonetta said, trying to learn more about this weapon in case she bumps into it.
"The spear is very special, see I made the spear because I owed indra a favor but I made it a bit too strong for indra. Realizing he couldn't fully use it he locked it away until he met Karna after taking the poor guy's armor to protect his son." Rodin said, thinking about the tale of Karna.
"Sounds like a caring father but what does all this have to do with the information I asked rodin?" Bayonetta said wanting Rodin to get to the point.
"I told you everything I knew he wasn't well liked by the lumen sages because his father went rogue. He found one of my strongest creations and seems to be able to use it well. Any other information out there you are gonna have to get from either him or your lost memories." Rodin said as he pulled out a random red bottle of alcohol before pouring it in a small glass and handing it to Bayonetta.
"I wish I could but from what I heard he might be dead hell I may have even been the one who got killed in the first place. The only option I have left is to wait ,and waiting was never my forte ,but thanks anyway I'm gonna see if I can find any more info about this Naruto fellow." Bayonetta said, preparing to leave the gates of hell bar.
"Let me know if you want to fight again. It's been awhile since our last one. Also let me know if you learn more. I'm curious about this guy too. Rodin said as Bayonetta walked out the bar heading back home.
"Bayonetta's home"
Bayonetta's home, believe it or not, was a beautiful place despite the city they lived in not too big or too small, just a decent size house outside the city. Weird thing is that angels don't show up around here for some reason she could never figure out.
Right now Bayonetta is currently getting out of the shower wrapping a towel on her nude body while she is thinking about all the information she got today.
"So I may have had a deep connection with this Naruto guy ,but the question is who is he?" She asked herself.
Bayonetta got into her bedroom after drying off her body. She then sits at the desk in her room which has the necklace and lipstick she woke up with. She then picks up the necklace and lipstick just as more memories flood her head.
"Flashback Rosa's cell"
"That impure child has formed a bond with a lumen sage just like her mother. The Umbran council fear this sage will turn her against us and wipe us out." Said a random umbra witch to another as they walked past Rosa's cell.
On her way to her mother's cell, Cereza heard two witches talking about her fight with Naruto claiming he would have her destroy the witch clan. She walks into her mother's cell.
"Mummy" Cereza says as she runs to and hugs her mother.
"My dear sweet child, it's always good to see you in good health after that last battle I heard so much about." Rosa said as she happily returned the hug and then released her daughter.
"Mummy there's something I need to talk to you about." Cereza said to her mother.
"Is it about that lumen sage you fell for?" Rosa asked pretty much already knowing the answer.
"I didn't fall for him ,but yes it is about him. He is different from most sages. He doesn't seem to care about this war. The strange thing is he didn't kill a single witch before we thought he only injured them." Cereza said thinking about the strange sage.
"That is strange, a sage that doesn't kill witches is interesting. What does the council say?" Rosa said, trying to learn more about this sage.
"You know the council won't tell me anything. I did learn a few things from him. He's an outcast like me, maybe that's why I feel so attached to him. We are both outcasts and he was pretty strong too. He managed to fight me to a stand still even when the moon was out. Make me wonder what would have happened if the fight carried through the day? Cereza said thinking about how the fight could have been different if the sun was out.
"I'm pretty sure you would have been fine against him you are among the strongest of the witches." Rosa said reminding Cereza that due to her heritage she was stronger than some of the more experienced witches.
"That's the problem mummy, he didn't seem to care about us being witches he didn't fight to kill when he fought any of the other witches the only time he truly killed was when he was fighting demons I have to find out myself who he is." Cereza said
"Why are you so focused on your fight with this sage, don't tell me you're becoming blood thirsty." Rosa said thinking about her daughter becoming a warmonger.
"Because mummy I felt a spark in that fight when we fought I felt different. It didn't feel like a between enemy clans, it felt like a spar between old friends. I felt like I was fighting Jeanne but more." Cereza said thinking about all the emotions felt throughout the fight.
"You know what that sounds like to me. You're falling in love with him." She said smirking
"That can't be right, I don't even fully know him. The only thing I know about him is that we both are outcasts among our clans. That doesn't sound like love." Cereza said
"Trust me this was the same way I felt about your father when we first met." Rosa said thinking about the first time she met her husband.
"Speaking of, did you and daddy ever regret having me?" Cereza asks as she never truly forgot her existence started this war.
"No never me and your father knew the consequences of our actions and we choose to move forward and have you my beloved cereza." Rosa said, placing her hand on her daughter's face, rubbing her cheek.
"But don't you resent me? I'm basically the reason why you're locked up and daddy being exiled." Cereza said as the weight of this war was slowly taking its toll on her mental state.
"Cereza, me and your father love you no matter what. We could never hate you. We chose this so we have to live with it. We love you my little Cherry, and I say this with every ounce of motherly love. After this war is over I never want you to come back here again. Rosa said as she noticed Cereza was starting to get confused.
"What do you mean mummy?" Cereza said as she honestly wondered what her mother was thinking.
"Exactly as I said I want you to leave Vigrid and find happiness in your life." Rosa said, putting her hands on her daughter's shoulder.
"Mummy I can't leave you here, come with me." Cereza said, refusing to leave her mother behind.
"No I can't leave not yet at least but no matter how this war ends I want you to leave and never look back promise me cereza." Rosa said, looking at her daughter as seriously as possible.
"I promise mummy." Cereza said, pulling her mother into a hug before leaving her mother's cell to think about her mother's words.
"Could I really be in love with him? I have to find out for myself." Cereza thought to herself as she headed back to the area where she met Naruto. What she didn't expect was to see him there staring at the moon.
"Naruto." "Cereza." They both said each other's name in a more friendly way since the last time they met.
"What are you doing here cereza?" Naruto asked, wondering why she was here.
"Actually I was looking for you." She said looking at Naruto.
"Really what do you possibly want from me? Naruto said noticing cereza was acting
"Answers. I want to know more about you." Cereza said as she walked up to Naruto and stood right Infront of him.
"Well,what do you want to know?" Naruto asked, staring at Cereza curiously.
"Who are you, why are you an outcast like me, why do I feel so attached to you, and how are you so strong without being a hybrid and why didn't you kill any of the other witches before our fight?" She asked as her questions were finally gonna get answered.
"My name is Naruto, my father was a lumen scientist who tried to recreate fallen demigods from the less known periods of history. I was born naturally but my mother died due to my birth. My father started the project because he felt that lumen sages we're going to be erased from history. So he started the hero faction where he took the weapons and DNA of fallen demigods and re-created them. I'm an outcast because the lumen council found out about my father's experiments and had him executed. The council revealed my status as the son of the traitor and branded me an outcast. My demigod dna enhanced my body past that of normal human level, and I didn't kill the other witches because it wasn't necessary. Is that all cereza?" Naruto asked not caring about them being enemies.
"There is still one question you didn't answer: why do I feel so attached to you. My mother said it was love but I'm not sure if I can even be loved by a man. Cereza said finding comfort in his presence.
"To be honest I don't know myself, maybe it's because we are both outcasts just wanting to be loved by another." Naruto said
"Maybe but are we willing to love each other especially now?" Cereza said
"I don't know love isn't exactly an emotion I understand." Naruto said, trying to imagine a happy life together.
"Then think of this as a chance to learn. Maybe then we can find the peace we desire at least for a little while." Cereza said staring into Naruto's eyes while placing her hand on his cheek rubbing it with as much affection as possible
"You know loving someone like you shouldn't be so bad" Cereza said as she leaned up close and kissed Naruto on the lips for a few seconds before releasing and leaning on his chest.
"Flashback end."
"So that's who I was. I tossed away the only person that could ever love me as a person just to save my own ass. Bayonetta said, picking up her necklace.
"I'm sorry Naruto but Cereza died with you. If I see you again in the afterlife it will be as Bayonetta."
