After safely setting down among the fields of Hyrule, the Five Summoned Heroes along with Link set out for the Dueling peaks, following the route that King Rhoam described for them. It would be a bit of a long trek, but with some of them using horses, it wouldn't be a long journey to walk.
As they journeyed along the road, the group got to know each other a little bit more.
"So, what you mainly do where you come from is travel around the world searching for various items called "Shen Gong Wu" that do a variety of different things and keep them out of evil hands?" katara asked Raimundo.
"Yeah, that's mainly the short version of everything. The Fung-meister would tell it a bit longer if he was here." Raimundo mentioned. "And in a way more cryptic way."
"Seems a bit easier than what I'm doing. My brother Sokka and I are traveling all over our world to teach Aang, the current Avatar, all four bending styles so that he can save the world from the Fire Nation." the waterbender replied.
"That's a pretty cool place you come from. I bet there are a lot of strong people in your world to fight, I wish I could go there." Luck piped in.
"Dude, is fighting all you ever talk about?" Raimundo asked. "You gotta get yourself some more hobbies."
"Nah, I'm good. I'm happy as long as I get to fight strong people. Well, that and also staying with my Magic Knight Squad." Luck said. "Oh, right! Magic Knights are the defenders of the Kingdom where I come from."
"You're from a kingdom too? Its gotta be as big as this one, right?" Chase asked.
"Nah, our kingdoms are way smaller than this huge place." Luck replied.
Chase seemed to notice that luck didn't lose the smile on his face, as if he was constantly happy. Was he dysfunctionally born or something?
"How about you, Chase? What's your world like?" Katara asked.
"Well… it's pretty wild, i'll say that. Where I come from, almost every human being on the planet has this special ability we call a "Quirk", that's 80% of the entire population by the way." Chase explained.
"That many?!" Katara asked.
"Yup. And most people who have these quirks become literal superheroes. Its become pretty common in society, and the supernatural has become super-normal. There are so many heroes in the world now, and it's not uncommon to find a battle between heroes and villains to be the talk of the town." the young boy explained.'
"Cool! These heroes must be really strong!" Luck beamed. "Hey, do you have a Quirk, chase?"
"Yeah, I do. But i only use it in real clutch situations, I don't pull it out willy-nilly." Chase said. "Gotta save your best moves for the right time, right?"
"Awww, that's no fun. I was hoping we could fight and go all out on each other." Luck said.
"Were supposed to be a team, kid. It's never a good idea to kill your allies." Ace spoke up a bit seriously. "Trust me… I know."
"You do? Wait… have you killed anyone close on your crew?" Katara asked, a bit worried.
"No…. but someone else did. And now I'm chasing after that man." Ace said.
"Whoa… heavy stuff…" Chase thought.
Ace saw everyone looking at him nervously as he shook it off with a smile. "Anyway, don't worry about my life story for now. We've got somewhere to be, don't we?"
"Y-Yeah, we do." Katara said.
"So chase, do you wanna be a hero where you come from?" Raimundo asked.
"Eheh...hehe… that's not really something I think I'll be good at," Chase said despondently.
"Why not, you seem really strong." Luck said.
"...Because I'm not as special as some other people." Chase answered.
It took some travelling time but after a few days of avoiding unnecessary conflict with monsters, grabbing materials, food and weapons, the group finally arrived at a japanese styled village based in the crater of a hill.
"Kakariko village, we finally made it," Raimundo said. "Took us long enough."
"Yeah, it was quite the journey here. Hopefully we can rest inside before we set out after we get the information we need." Katara said. "So, where do we need to go?"
"If i had to guess, id say Impas hut should be the one right at the bottom of the village." CHase said.
"Well then what are we waiting for?" Ace asked.
The six of them ventured down through the village to the hut they had theyre eyes on. Before they could go any further however, they were blocked off by two guards with spears.
"Halt! You all there, who are you?! How dare you trespass lady impas abode!" one of them said.
"Whoa, whoa, chill dudes! Were just here to speak with Impa!" Raimundo tried to ease.
"Doesn't look like they'll let us through, though," Katara said.
"Does that mean we get to fight them?!" Luck asked eager to brawl.
"Hm? Wait, hold on…" the guard said looking at Link and eyeing his Shiekah Slate. "Is that...a Sheikah Slate? But that would mean you are… no, it's not possible. Can it be?"
"Your eyes arent fooling you. This is the Hylian Champion, Link. He's back after 100 years." Chase said. "And were his allies. If you don't mind, could you let us through to see Impa? We need to speak with her."
"Yes, of course. Please, forgive us for speaking so rudely," the first guard said. "Of course, we have heard the legends of Link from Lady Impa herself. Please, friends…. Go ahead and step inside." the two guards then stepped aside for them to pass.
"Well that worked out nicely." CHase said as they headed on in.
"So… are we not fighting anyone, or-?" Luck started.
"Luck, cmon!" Katara gestured.
"Ah, coming!" Luck followed after his allies.
Entering the abode, they found a elderly woman sittitng there, looking upwards as if she was expecting their arrival.
"...So, youre finally awake. It has been quite a long time… Link." the woman spoke. "I am much older now, but… you remember me, dont you?"
"Not exactly." Link spoke.
"I see, you do not remember me. That is unfortunate." she said.
"Impa, right?" Chase asked. "Links got a heavy case of amnesia after waking up from his slumber in the Shrine of Ressurection. He doesnt remember a thing."
"Ah, yes. That may be a blessing in disguise though. Come closer, dearest link and associates." Impa gestured as the group did so. "I assume you must already know what happened 100 years ago?"
"Yeah, most of it. Hyrule was destroyed by Ganon, link was wounded defending Zelda, and he was placed in the Shrine of Ressurection to heal up." Raimundo said.
"Yes. And after which, Zelda went off to face Ganon… alone." Impa esaid. "Before Princess Zelda went to nobly meet her fate, she entrusted me with some words she wished to pass on to Link, as well as you who have been called here."
"Some words for us?" Katara asked.
"Yes. I have been waiting 100 years to deliver her message. However!" Impa said. "Before i reveal them, i must be certain that link, and all of you, are willing to risk your lives to save this kingdom."
"We already signed up for this when King Rhoam asked us to do this." Chase said. "It may be a huge task we need to take on, and it might be dangerous… but were willing to give this a shot."
"Indeed. So please, tell us what she said." Link nodded.
"Very well. I shall tell you all what has happened, thereby recounting everything to Link as well," Impa nodded. "The history of the Royal family of Hyrule is also the History of Calamity Ganon, a primal evil that has endured over the ages. This evil has been turned back time and time again by a warrior wielding the soul of a hero and a princess who carries the blood of the goddess."
"Link and Zelda in many other forms I'm guessing, right?" Ace asked.
"Yes. Each conflict with Ganon faded into legend time and time again. So listen closely as I tell you of this legend that took place 10,000 years ago. Hyrule was then blossoming as a highly advanced civilization. Even the most powerful monsters posed little threat to the denizens of the realm. The people thought it wise to utilize their technological prowess to ensure the safety of the land...should Calamity Ganon ever return. They constructed four mechanical wonders that are come to be known as the Divine Beasts. They also built a legion of autonomous weapons called Guardians. The Divine Beasts were piloted by four individuals of exceptional skill from across the land. And thus, the plan to neutralize Ganon was forged. Upon Ganon's inevitable return to Hyrule, the princess and the hero fought alongside these four Champions against this ancient evil. The Guardians were tasked with protecting the hero as the Divine Beasts unleashed a furious attack on their terrible foe. And when the hero wielding the sword that seals the darkness struck the final blow, the princess used her sacred power to seal away Calamity Ganon. And that...is the legend that has been told for 10,000 years." Impa said.
"Wow…." Katara breathed.
"We know the rest of the story, though. Calamity Ganon struck hard and fast 100 years ago. He took the lives of the champions and seized control of all four Divine beasts and the Guardians. Hyrule was utterly devastated after that." Chase said.
"Indded you are correct. In preparation for the foretold revival of Ganon, we strove to follow the path of our ancestors of 10,000 years prior," Impa explained. "But...in the end...despite our best efforts and planning, we underestimated his power. In order to avoid ever making that grave mistake again, the princess left you all these words…. 'Free the four Divine Beasts'."
"Shes got a good point. Wed probably stand more of a better chance with those things backing us up." Ace mentioned.
"Then thats what weve gotta do." Raimundo agreed. "So uh… where can we find these four divine beast guys?"
"The four Divine beasts are located amongst the lands that host the scattered races of Hyrule. Divine Beast Vah Rudania will be found in the Eldin region, amongst the firey Death Mountain." Impa explained. "Divine Beast Vah Medoh will be in the region of Tabantha, flying near the Hebra Mountains. Divine Beast Vah Ruta is located in Zoras Domain in Lanaryu. And Divine Beast Vah Naboris will be found roaming the Gerudo Desert."
"And let me guess, in order to take back all of them, were gonna have to get inside them, right?" Chase asked, to which impa nodded.
"Oh boy, thats gonna be so much fun!" Luck said.
"How exactly can you say thats fun?" Raimundo asked confused.
"More information about these Divine beasts can be given to you by the elders of each of the four races, which are the Zora, Goron, Rito and Gerudo. Consult the Sheikah Slate to guide you on your journey." Impa said.
Everyone looked to link Sheikah slate as four glowing points appeared on the map.
"Link, Chase, Katara, Ace, Luck, Raimundo…" Impa got their attention. "You are Princess Zelda's only hope, and Hyrules as well...you cannot turn back now. Follow your heart and seize your destiny!"
"Right...no pressure," Chase said to himself, still feeling a bit unsure of himself, but he shoved it aside to remain positive. "Alright, so we got four divine beasts to free across the entire region of Hyrule. We got some work ahead of us, so lets get to it."
"Hey, we should figure out which beast to go to first." Luck recommended.
"Good thinking." Katara nodded, looking to the Shiekah Slate, seeing the closest point on the map not too far from the village. "The closest location from where we are now is… this one."
"that would be Zoras Domain in Lanaryu, where the Zora reside. Proceed north from this village and you shall come across Zoras River. Follow it as it proceeds into the Lanaryu region and you shall find the path to Zoras Domain from there."
"Got it, thanks Impa." Chase said.
"No need to thank me. Just help link in saving this land." Impa said.
"Don't worry. We've got this. Probably." Chase nodded. "Alright gang, let's get going. Next stop, Zoras Domain."
