(A/N: This one-shot, and a few others coming was basically supposed to be made into a story, but I suffered writer's block and was concentrating more on my other originals. I almost sort of feel like this was how the Ninja got together in the movie, but then thought maybe in another AU, so here you go)
Driving down the streets in the middle of the night in a brown convertible at fast speed, a 16 year old blonde haired boy with green eyes was listening to a bit of loud music with the top down and a white cap and green hoodie covering his face from other drivers, who furiously honk their car horns. But, the next car he overtook suddenly started to flash red and blue lights before immediately going after him. The boy sees the flashing lights before quickly turning to see a police car was coming after him. "Not good." He said before immediately going faster.
A Week Earlier
The boy walked along an alleyway, wearing a black jacket, brown jeans and green sneakers. He was coming up to a door labelled, 'Craig's Couriers' before opening it and heads inside. The interior, for some reason, was completely bare, hardly anything was around, making the completely confused boy wondering what is going on. "Look what the cat dragged in." Someone sarcastically said as the boy turned to see a man in his early 20s, wearing the same kind of jacket the boy was wearing, coming over to him.
"Craig, what happened?" The boy asked.
Craig sighed as he looked around the empty place. "Dad found out."
"What?"
"When my dad saw you the other day, he took the soda bottle you drank, gave it to mom, who ran a background check, and..." He claps his hands. "My new employee is one Lloyd Garmadon."
"But, what does this have to do with this?" He held his hand out to the entire room.
Craig sighed. "Mom and her colleagues made me shut it down. I told her that I only gave you the job because no one else would employee the son of the man who tries to take over Ninjago. And so, this place is going to be sold, and every single employee was out of a job, just like that."
"But, I only had this job for a week!"
"I know. I'm sorry."
"Can I at least keep the bike? It's the only way I can get to school."
"That has to be taken too." Lloyd immediately marched out in anger.
In retaliation for losing the only job he could get, Lloyd broke into Craig's family home, having once did it with a friend to try and steal test answer sheets. The immediate thing he did was take the car and sped out the driveway.
By now, Lloyd had three police cars chasing after him for his offence before noticing a roadblock up ahead. "Really not good." He said to himself as he was inches from the roadblock until he notices a path on the right. Left with no choice, he took it, with the police cars still after him.
The path that he took actually lead to a harbour, which Lloyd had difficulty driving due to it being not wide enough, fishermen and dock workers in the way, and he was close to going off a jetty. With no other choice and swiftly thinking of something, Lloyd quickly floored the accelerator and the car flies off the end of the jetty before nosediving into the ocean with a giant splash.
By the time the police cars arrive, it was already half-submerged and slowly sinking as one officer gets out his radio. "This is R-37, stolen car driven off jetty, I think the driver has bailed." He said.
The officer that was in the car next to him leaned over to him. "That car ain't driving on the streets anymore." He said.
But, unbeknownst to them, the driver was able to get out before they arrived, and slowly swam to the jetty's support beams where he surfaces and took in a giant amount of air. The swim over to the jetty had lowered Lloyd's hood as well as wash away the hat before he slowly started to swim for a nearby ladder not far from the officers, and silently laughed while climbing it, water dripping from his wet clothes. But before he could even reach the top, two sets of legs were what greeted him as he looked up to see that two officers were waiting for him before he lowered his head in defeat. "Hello, Mr. Garmadon." The female officer said.
"Hello, Officer Loan." He replied to the mother of his former boss, not look at her.
