Mantis' overnight stay at the hospital was a bit tricky. He suffered a few nightmares from when he was tortured by the Dragon Hunters, but was given something to get him to go back to sleep, which he was subscribed for, in case he suffered nightmares again, until they stop.
And so, the following morning, the Ninja decide to take it in turns on teaching Mantis about life in Ninjago, and Nya was up first. When she went to pick him up, Nya noticed Mantis, wearing a blue hooded jacket, white t-shirt, blue jeans and blue boots, was struggling to write on a form, so she showed him how it was done.
Once they were finished, Nya and Mantis walk along the city, which is still being repaired. "So, people here have different clothes than in the First Realm?" Mantis asked Nya, noting some of the peoples' style of clothing.
"Yeah, some go in whatever suits them." She replied. "Just need to get the size and types of clothes you need." She then noticed Mantis rubbing his leg a little. "Are you okay?"
"Either these pants are tight, or these boxer shorts, or whatever they are, is sticking to me."
"The word is chafing. Maybe it's one or both. I know, why don't I take you to do some shopping?"
"Shopping?"
"To buy stuff. For example, we're off to buy you some proper clothes, and whatever style suits you."
"Okay, then."
They went to the nearest clothing store, where most of the Ninja were regulars, some even promoting shirts with their likenesses on them as well as signing them. The moment they walk in, one of the employees, a young woman, noticed them. "Ah, Nya, welcome." He said, coming over to them.
"Hey, Trish." She replied. "How's Rocco?"
"He's not bad. Still getting use to being paralysed, though."
"Oh. Well, tell him I said hello when you see him." Nya and Mantis head further down the store.
"I shall."
They went to the men's section, where they both look among jackets, shirts, jeans, shorts, sports clothing and shoes before Nya grabbed a black sweatshirt, grey jeans and brown boots, and dragged Mantis to a dressing room to put them on.
A few seconds later, Mantis came out, wearing the clothes before Nya shook her head.
A few more seconds later, Mantis came out, wearing an unbuttoned green shirt, black t-shirt, black jeans and grey boots before Nya shook her head again.
Several more seconds later, Mantis came out, wearing a black and grey sweater, black jeans and brown boots before Nya shook her head once more. "Maybe I'll let you decide."
Within minutes, Mantis emerged from the dressing room, wearing a light brown letter jacket, brown t-shirt, black track pants and black boots. "Well?" He asked.
Nya nods. "Perfect." Mantis soon smiled.
They spent the rest of the day buying clothes that would suit Mantis' style, and Nya showed him how to buy stuff by giving them money, and sometimes if it is over, they're given change. Even though it was expensive buying a lot of clothes, Mantis had a great time.
