(A/N: This one-shot is an alternate in Chapter 7 of March of the Oni that I changed before PrincePacman47 suggested I redid these. And I guess I needed something to do, since my support home is closing down and next month will be the last time I go)

In the bridge, Nya was at the helm before she turns to Zane and Blake, who were at the control panels. "How much farther to that distress call?" She asked.

"We should be approaching it now." Blake replied.

"I don't see it." Cole said.

"Neither can I." Gewuji replied.

"Geoff, can you try your Sand Sight?" Jay asked.

Geoff takes off his sash, closes his eyes, and his scars glow, activating his Sand Sight before he opens his eyes, and looked on through it. He soon notices something. "There!" He said, pointing out to a building almost engulfed by the cloud. "That's gotta be it!"

"That's the Ninjago News Centre!" Maggie replied as the Bounty comes up to it as tentacles start to surround it.

"It's covered in those...things." Kai said.

"I guess they didn't evacuate in time." Cole replied.

"Or Gayle Gossip made them all stay behind." Blake said before kneeling to the microphone. "NGTV News building, this is the Destiny's Bounty, do you read?" There is no response. "Still nothing."

"I'll bring us over the rooftop." Nya said. "You guys get them outta there before the clouds swallow the entire building."

"Come on, Cole, Jay!" Gewuji said before they immediately took off.

Inside, Gayle was sitting at a news desk, typing about the situation on a laptop. "'As the black cloud of Destruction grows ever closer, surrounding us on all sides, this intrepid reporter vows to stay at her desk, and bring you the news until the bitter end.'" She said as she typed on the laptop before thinking about the last thing she typed. "Tragic end? Terrible end?" Laughter and cheering was soon heard outside the room as Gayle turned to see Vinny and the employees looking out a window. "Would you guys keep it down? I'm about to go on air."

"It's the Ninja!" Vinny told her as the Bounty passes over the building. "They're here!" They all start running for the stairwell. "We're being rescued! Come on, we gotta get to the roof."

"Great." Gayle sarcastically spoke before closing her laptop and picks it up, immediately moving to catch up with the others. "Now I have to rewrite this whole thing."

On the rooftop, Vinny opens the roof access door as he, Gayle and the employees look to see the Bounty coming up to them with Jay, Cole and Gewuji on some rope ladders before they climb down. "Hey, folks, need a lift?" Gewuji asked.

"Boy, are we glad to see you, guys?" Vinny asked as he comes up to the ladder Jay was near. "Thanks!" He starts to climb it as the others start climbing up the ladders.

"Our pleasure." Jay replied as the other employees start to climb the ladders. "Mind your step now."

Cole turns to see the tentacles had just reached the rooftop. "Ah, a little quicker, folks?" He asked.

"Creepy black vines closing in..."

"Hut, two, hut, two, hut, two, hut, two, hut, two." Gewuji said as Gayle turned to Cole as she was about to climb up.

"You should know, you ruined one hell of broadcast!" She said before climbing up.

"What?" Cole asked as the tentacles start closing in, and Jay starts climbing.

"Cole, we gotta go." Gewuji said as she starts climbing up her ladder before Cole gets on his as well as the Bounty immediately takes off. "Complain to Gossip later."

"Okay, Nya, get us out of here!" Jay called out as they start climbing.

"You've got it!" Nya replied from the deck, and heads for the bridge.

In the bridge, Nya starts pressing some buttons before moving the thruster lever forward.

On the side, Gewuji see the thrusters turn back. "Oh!" She yelled before it soon started, causing the Bounty to reverse, the effect making her lose her grip of her ladder and fall, screaming.

But as she fell, Cole wraps his legs around the rope supports, lets go of it to hang by his legs, and catches Gewuji, but the catching as well as the weight of both Ninja had caused one of the ropes to snap. "Cole, Gewuji!" Jay yelled.

"Gewuji?" Geoff asked as he looked down as he heard Cole helping while hanging onto the ladder while holding Gewuji by her arms. "Stop the Bounty!"

On the bridge, Maggie realises what Nya has done, and pulls the lever backwards. "I keep forgetting that." Nya said as the thrusters soon went forward, and the Bounty starts to take off.

From the side, Cole and Gewuji hit a few of the buildings' vents and air ducts. "Hang on, guys!" Jay said.

On the deck, Geoff looks down at the ladders. "Help me get it back up!" He yelled as he, Blake, Vinny and a couple of the employees start trying to pull Cole's ladder back.

From the side, Gewuji looks on as the ladder was being brought back before noticing the snapped rope, and the remaining one, slowly straining from the weight. "Cole, just let me go!" She said. "The rope is gonna give!"

"I'm not letting you go!" He replied.

The rope holding the ladder immediately snapped and they both soon started to fall. "Cole!" Jay yelled, holding his hand out.

"Gewuji!" Geoff yelled as he, Blake, Vinny, and the employees look on to see them helplessly fall down the black cloud, both holding their hands up, unable to be helped.

On the deck, Kai, Zane, Maggie and some employees see the two fall before they pass through the cloud, disappearing from their view, along with the broken piece of the rope ladder. Nya soon notices one of the tentacles coming at them as Geoff immediately ran for the helm. "We gotta get down there!" Nya doesn't hear him as she immediately presses a button, giving the thrusters a boost, speeding far away from the building, and the location of their two fallen Ninja as Jay holds on to one of the two remaining ladders.
