(A/N: For Kirby, one year on since his unfortunate passing. Hope Andrew Francis makes him proud from beyond the grave)

With nearly two weeks of being in Ninjago under his belt, Mantis suddenly asked if the Ninja would show where the fallen are buried. Cole was quick to comply as he needed to do something there anyway.

At the Ninjago City Graveyard, Mantis stopped his car at the entrance before he and Cole got out, and went in. "So, did you have someone pass on?" Mantis asked as they move along among the tombstones.

"Yeah, my mother." Cole replied, frowning a little. "She was the previous Master of Earth."

Mantis noticed his expression before putting a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be like that."

"No, no. It's okay. It's been 14 years. She was so sick, not even Maggie's father could find out her illness. Even tried to hide it, but all got too much. I still remember what she taught me. Before she died."

"So... what was it?"

Cole soon stopped at one tombstone, and Mantis saw was on it. 'Lilly Smith. Beloved daughter, wife and mother. She'll always be a pride and joy'. "That I will always stand up to those who are cruel and unjust."

"And I'd say being a Ninja is making you do that."

"You also did it. By stopping Wipedovith from whipping Jay. Even if you were made to do it yourself."

"Wow. Guess I made your mother proud as well."

"Yeah. Um, if you don't mind, I'd like to be alone."

"Sure thing, I'll walk around a little before I head back to the car." Mantis walks away as Cole turned back to his mother's grave.

"Hey, mom. I hope you were seeing everything from the Departed Realm. And sometimes, I wonder if you knew about a Master of Uranium, to help my new friend, Mantis."

Mantis walked along the graveyard, looking at some of the tombstones that were around, including Jake Smith, Clive Liger, Frank Carson, Olivia Carson, George Carson and Consuela. He then stopped at one tombstone and knelt down to brush away some dust on it, revealing the name on it: Kirby Morrow. "Great man he was." Someone said to him, making him turn to see a middle aged man with brown hair, a green eye and a red eye, wearing a grey suit, blue t-shirt and black dress shoes, holding a rose in his hand. "I wish I met him myself."

Mantis stood up and turned to him. "I don't really follow." He replied.

"Kirby is a great voice actor, his family even had a scholarship named after him."

"Sounds nice."

The man then realised something. "Sorry, I only came to place this on my sister's grave." The man heads towards a nearby grave as Mantis stood up and followed him as he placed a rose on top of a tombstone, where there were three names on it. 'Alpheus Salvos, Kelly Salvos and Hayden Salvos.'

"If you don't mind me asking, how did they die?"

"My sister, her husband and their son were on an archaeological expedition. For some reason, they never came back. At first, I refused to believe they were gone. Maybe they're still out there, just too tired or homesick to return from where they ended up. Actually, if my nephew were here today, he would've been about your age."

"That'd be nice." He then held his hand out. "I'm Mantis, by the way. Mantis Trudogolik."

The man took it and shook it. "Warnie Pantub. Maybe I'll see you around, catch up with a drink."

"Oh, you will. I just got accepted in the Ninjago City Police Department."

"Then, congratulations, officer. Have a good day." Warnie walks away as Mantis watched him leave.

Mantis then turned to the tombstone and looked at the names, and remembered what Warnie said. "Maybe they're still out there, just too tired or homesick to return from where they ended up. Actually, if my nephew were here today, he would've been about your age." He then looked at the rose Warnie placed down, and noticed some blood on a thorn. Kneeling down to it, Mantis picks up the rose, gets out a tissue, wraps it around the thorn and pulls it off.

While he looked at it, Cole came over to Mantis. "Okay, I'm ready." He said before noticing him holding the thorn. "Is there something wrong?"

"Nothing." Mantis replied, lying. He quickly wrapped the thorn in the tissue and puts it in his pocket before they head towards the entrance.
