It was now 4 days since the Oni were banished, and Geoff continuing his blind training. He knew how to fight with his other senses and even found out about Kai and Jay's cruel prank involving tabasco, and made it backfire on them. Right now, Dragon needed Zane to help out with his next lesson, while the others look on.
Geoff, sash over eyes, was standing on a platform with another ahead of him, with a rope between them as Zane and Dragon look up at him. "There are certain things that the blind must often do." Dragon said. "Such as the tightrope that lays ahead of you. You must walk across it without falling off, and making sure you don't lose grip of my staff." Dragon throws his staff towards Geoff, who turns towards it and held his hand out to catch it. "Now, are you ready?"
Geoff walks towards the rope before holding his right hand out, and wide to balance the staff on it. "Ready." He replied.
"You may begin." Geoff started to move across the rope as slowly as he could, making sure to keep his, and the staff's, balance in check. As he was now 1/3 away from the platform, Dragon turns to Zane, who gets out his bow and arrow, and aims it at the slowly moving Geoff.
Jay stood out and was about to warn him, when Lloyd and Maggie manage to stop him, yet fail to stop him from giving off a tiny yelp. "Shh!" They both said.
Unfortunately, Geoff had overheard the sudden and interrupted warning once he was nearing the halfway mark, and Zane fired the arrow. Geoff hears the arrow's release before twisting his feet to go on opposite sides of the rope, turned to the right, grips the staff tight and caught the arrow in his other hand. "This was the real test, wasn't it?" He asked.
"It was." Dragon replied before turning to glare at Jay. "And Jay had given it away."
"Sorry." He said.
Dragon turns back to Geoff, who tosses the staff towards him, and he catches it. "Master Wu, you need to give me some more advanced techniques." He said, throwing the arrow to Zane, and he catches it.
"Very well." Dragon replied. "Zane will fire as many arrows as he can. Your objective remains the same, but must also catch or deflect any arrow that comes your way."
"Yes, Master."
"Zane, if you will."
"As you wish, Master." Zane said before getting out two more arrows, puts them, as well as the returned arrow, on the bow, aims it at Geoff, pulls the wire back and fires.
All three arrows start to move towards Geoff, who cartwheels to the left to avoid one, with hands still on rope, moved his legs to catch the second one and spun to avoid the last one, surprising the others. While still spinning, Geoff lets go of the rope and jumps high, spins backwards, and lands back on the rope on his feet. Zane got out three more arrows and fired them. Geoff held his hands out to catch two of them before turning to the right and backflips along the rope to avoid another, and then bounces backwards to land on the other platform. "Excellent."
Lloyd, Kai, Jay, Cole, Nya, Gewuji, Maggie, Blake, Mantis and Faith soon applaud as Geoff then backflipped to jump off the platform and land next to Zane, and simply held up the arrows he caught. "Uh, thank you." Zane said, speechlessly taking them.
"You're getting more and more good with each lesson on fighting blind." Dragon said. "Tell me, what helped you out?"
"Jay's yelp of warning." Geoff replied, turning to glare at him, and he frowns. "The twang of the arrow's string and the arrows themselves moving along the wind."
"You're learning really fast, Blind Ninja."
"Thank you."
