5 YEARS LATER

"And then Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen lived happily ever after. The End," Mercedes read softly.

"Mommy?" The four-year-old spoke up.

"Yes baby," Mercedes answered.

"Can you tell me why you and daddy chose my name again?" She innocently asked.

"Well daddy and I wanted to give you the best name possible and we fell in love with the name Amara because it means grace. You are the best thing to ever happen to mommy and daddy you know that right?"

"Yes," She yawned.

"OK, now get some sleep, I love you," Mercedes said as she stood and walked towards the door and hit the light.

"Love you, mommy," She replied before pulling the sheets over her to herself before rolling over. Mercedes smiled at the little girl and hit the light and made her way downstairs where her husband was waiting on the couch with wine and popcorn. She walked over to him and gave him a kiss before sitting down on his lap and pulling the blanket on top of them.

"Who would have thought I would have seen the day where Miss. Mercedes Jones-Evans stopped working herself to the bone," Sam joked.

"You shouldn't be surprised, considering the fact that the moment you found out I was pregnant you made me stay home every single day," Mercedes replied.

After that night in D.C., a lot of things hand changed for Mercedes and Sam. Sam had returned back to Atlanta where everyone was thankful that he came back because now Mercedes would actually start taking care of herself. A few months later Jalen was arrested for money fraud, and his mistress revealed that her whole pregnancy was a lie. A year later Sam proposed to Mercedes and she said yes, and they had the most beautiful wedding of the century. Kurt designed her marvelous wedding dress which landed her in numerous magazines, and for the reception, some of Mercedes's clients have performed which everyone loved. A few months after the wedding they moved into their forever home that had five bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a chef's kitchen, two offices, and a home-theater and gym. Shortly after moving into their forever home, Mercedes found out that she was a few weeks pregnant with their baby girl Amara, and everyone thought they were going to have force Mercedes to stop working after the baby was born because Sam insisted that she did not work her whole pregnancy, but Mercedes hadn't returned back to work until Amara was a year old. Who would have thought that all it took was a baby to get Mercedes to stop working?

"I did in fact do that because you would have tried to work every single hour until it was time for a maternity leave, but I am also proud of you for taking a year off because no one expected you to," Sam said.

"Awe, well thank you, baby," Mercedes replied as she gave Sam a quick kiss, "So tell me are you excited that you and Puck now have your own private security company?"

"Yes I am more than excited," Sam gleamed. After coming back to D.C. Sam and Puck decided to open up their joint private security company and now that it was finally open Sam got to spend more time at home with Mercedes and Amara instead of picking up random hours protecting people which made him very happy.

"So since Amara is going to be out for school tomorrow because of summer break do you want to take her to see her grandparents. I was hoping that we could stay for a month, but if you need me to change the time frame then we can," Sam spoke.

"Oh yes please I love your parents and their barn, I especially love my horse," Mercedes replied.

"I think you love that horse more than me actually," Sam joked.

"Awe, don't be jealous of Toussiant," Mercedes cooed. After meeting Mary and Dwight Evans they had instantly fallen in love with Mercedes and it was possible that they loved her more than they did Sam. When the topic of conversation turned towards Mercedes's parents it was revealed that they had unfortunately passed away of old age, and feeling extremely sympathetic the Evans parents took Mercedes in as their own. They even gifted her, her very own horse out of the barn which Sam had gotten extremely jealous of because HE didn't even have a horse.

"I am not jealous I just think it is a little unfair that they gave you a horse and not me," Sam pouted. Mercedes laughed at his pout and gave him a deep kiss.

"Since I don't have to go in the office tomorrow and Amara has to be at school how about we have a little fun of our own tonight," Mercedes whispered. Sam raised his eyebrows at her before scooping her up in his arms, throwing her over his shoulders and walking to their bedroom, and tossing her on the bed.

"I Samuel Evans, love you, Mercedes Jones-Evans, more than anything in this world," Sam said as he straddled Mercedes.

"And I Mercedes Jones-Evans love you more than life itself," She replied back sweetly.

The next day after they had picked up Amara from school and packed their bags and got on their private jet and headed off Fortville, Indiana. Immediately after leaving the jet, they headed towards the Evans's Acres, and when they arrived Amara bounced around in her seat as the excitement bubbled over. Sam took her out of her car seat and placed her on his shoulders as they walked towards the awaiting Evans.

"Ohh my babies are here," Dwight beamed as he pulled Mercedes into a big bear hug.

"Dwight, you squeeze her any tighter you are going to hurt the poor girl," Mary said as she grabbed Amara from Sam and leaned and hugged Mercedes.

"Toussiant is waiting for you," Mary whispered in Mercedes's ear. Mercedes grinned from ear to ear as she rushed inside to change clothes.

"Well just forget about your husband and your daughter for a horse," Sam yelled after her.

"So little Ms. Cuddles, grandpa has a bunch of your favorite candies and sweets all in the kitchen then we can go see the animals how does that sound," Dwight spoke to Amara as he grabbed her from Amara. She nodded her head in agreement and Dwight ran to the door.

"Dwight, your run any faster and you are going to hurt yourself," Mary shouted after him. Sam laughed at his parents before sitting on the porch swing with his mother.

"I am so happy for you," Mary said.

"I know mom, I know, I love those girls like the air that I breathe," Sam replied.

"Are you and Merce are going to have another kid or is Amara it?"

"Well, we asked her one day would she like a sibling or a dog because it is going to be one or the other, and she said a dog. So we are getting her a dog when we go back home, and plus Mercedes and I are already happy and content with her we don't need another," Sam answered truthfully.

"Well that is good, and you better treat her right, or else Toussiant will steal her away," Mary joked as she gestured to Mercedes riding in the fields with the brown stallion as she had the biggest grin on her face.

"She better not leave me for a horse," Sam said as he stood up and raced to the barn to get a horse. Mary laughed at her son before heading inside with Dwight and Amara.

Sam grabbed a horse and went out and followed Mercedes and Toussiant on the horse trail they took that led to a nice lake. When he made it there Mercedes was sitting on the ground while Toussiant stook beside her drinking some of the water. Sam got off his horse and sat beside Mercedes.

"I'm so glad you had the balls to talk to me at that engagement party," Mercedes said as she looked at him.

"I'm so glad that you came to D.C. and got me," Sam joked.

"You are such an ass," Mercedes laughed.

"Awe c'mon it was a little funny. Anyways there is this small fair about thirty minutes away from here, tomorrow we are going to go and make new memories just the two of us,"

"Are you asking or telling?"

"Telling."
