Agnes smirked to herself as she hung up the phone. Kaede had agreed to her plan, had agreed it was what her father wanted, and that it would be best if Kotetsu came back to Sternbild, at least for a while.
She had thought of the plan when she saw Tiger and Barnaby's old suits in Saitou's lab. The suits could be upgraded, made lighter, but able to take more damage, protect the wearer for the shortened time limit. Barnaby needed his partner back, to help him out of his funk, as proven by Saitou's brain scans, and it seems Kotetsu needed his partner back, to break him out of whatever funk he was in. Having Kotetsu come back and join the second league would solve three problems for her. Barnaby would have his partner back, Kotetsu would have his job/life back and best of all, she would have her ratings!
She rubbed her hands together in excitement, before resting her wrists on her desk, typing away at her computer drawing up Tiger's new contract. As soon as Kotetsu phoned, after the plan with Kaede was set into motion she was sure it wouldn't take long, he would need a new contract to sign. A wicked grin was on her face as she typed, she would put a clause in (one she was sure he wouldn't read) stating he would automatically re-join a Hero Pairing, should Barnaby decide to join back up. She was sure he wouldn't protest partnering up again, but he may protest having Barnaby lower himself to the second league. She would prevent him from having a choice in the matter, if Barnaby was even willing to be in the second league (she was sure he would, as he seemed completely lost without Hero work or Kotetsu) he would obviously be joined back up with Tiger.
Second league would be best for both of them right now anyway, though it would be nice to break up the first league and get the points more evenly spread out, Barnaby was in no condition for full time work yet. And Kotetsu, with his powers so short, while his damage fines would be less, so would his effectiveness in a fight.
She glanced up at her secretary and then back to her screen. "Hold all calls except from Kotetsu T. Kaburagi or from Kaede Kaburagi," Agnes said as she kept typing away at the computer. Her secretary simply nodded, going back to her filing.
Kotetsu phoned an hour later, sounding a little unsure, and other voices in the background (an older man and woman? Maybe his brother and mother?) as well as Kaede chiming in now and then. He had asked if it would be possible to re-join Hero TV. Agnes had hemmed and hawed over it for a good while, having no intention to just give it to him without a fight, until she finally relented and offered him a second league position, the one she had suggested to Kaede earlier in the day. Kotetsu had then hemmed and hawed, not loving the idea of playing second fiddle to the other Heroes, but understanding that his powers were a liability in a big fight. He had eventually relented and would work out the details of his move back and let her know when he would be able to join in.
