Chapter 2 Christmas with the Galaxys
Michelangelo and Kala enjoyed their honeymoon in the tropical island at Dimension X. When they returned to New York City on Earth the couple began their lives as husband and wife. They even helped their family kick some bad guy butt. Of course that didn't stop Michelangelo from worrying about the safety of his wife. However Kala proved that she was able to take care of herself whenever they were fighting bad guys. Kala started training with Master Splinter learning how to fight long before she and Michelangelo got married. A couple of months after the wedding the holiday season was approaching. One day while Michelangelo and Kala were at home Kala's holo phone started ringing. "It's my parents calling," Kala said to Michelangelo. "I hope everything is ok" replied Michelangelo as Kala answered her parents phone call. "Hi Mom and Dad, how are you?" Kala asked her parents as she answered the phone. "We're fine dear. Your mom and I wanted to know how the two of you are doing?" Kala's father Doppler asked.
Michelangelo said, "We're doing just fine Mr. and Mrs. Galaxy." "Michelangelo you're married to our daughter now which makes us family. You can call us by our first names or mom and dad if you want," said Kala's mother Sky. "Also your father and I wanted to invite you both to Christmas dinner here in Dimension X if you two don't have any plans for Christmas." Kala and Michelangelo thought it would be nice to spend Christmas with Kala's family so they agreed to it. "Sure mom and dad we'll celebrate Christmas with you" Kala told her parents which they were very happy to hear. "Wonderful and Michelangelo the whole family can't wait to meet you. See you both on Christmas" said Kala's dad before he and Sky hung up the phone. "Wow Christmas with my family. I haven't done that in years after moving to Earth" Kala stated. "It'll be great and I'll get to meet your family depending on how many people come," said Michelangelo who looked forward to meeting Kala's family.
Kala told Michelangelo, "It will be my uncles and aunts who are my dad's brothers and sisters and their kids who are my cousins." "What about your mom's side of the family if you mind me asking" Michelangelo asked. "My mom is an only child and my grandparents, her parents are on holiday. As for my other grandparents, my dad's parents, I don't know if they'll be there. I haven't seen them in years. They didn't like it when I moved to Earth just like my parents and who knows if they came around but it's ok you'll get to meet my big family" Kala explained to Michelangelo. "Well before we celebrate Christmas with your parents and your relatives how about we celebrate Christmas right now. I'm looking at a present I want to unwrapped" winked Michelangelo. Kala caught on right away as she and Michelangelo started kissing and went to their bedroom. "Hmmm am I on the nice or naughty list?" Kala asked as Michelangelo removed her clothes and kissed her neck. "You're on the naughty list but that's ok because this is nice" answered Michelangelo as they continued to make love.
Kala and Michelangelo told the others that they were spending Christmas with Kala's family in Dimension X. They told them to enjoy themselves and happy holidays before they left. On Christmas Eve Kala and Michelangelo flew to Dimension X in the flying car. When they landed they were greeted warmly by Kala's parents. "Hi mom and dad" Kala said as she hugged her parents. Michelangelo hugged his in-laws as he thanked them for inviting them to spend Christmas with them. Doppler and Sky helped their daughter and son in-law get settled in before it was time to eat. "OMG is that pizza?!" Michelangelo asked with a smile on his face. "It sure is. I learned how to make Earthly dishes from this cookbook I bought the last time I went to Earth" Sky said as she showed the cookbook to Michelangelo.
Everyone sat down at the table and started eating dinner. While everyone was enjoying the pizza Michelangelo and Kala talked about how their lives have been since they got married including beating up the bad guys with the others. "So what else is going on besides fighting crime and married life?" asked Doppler. "Well my brother Raphael and his wife Mona are going to become parents any day now" answered Michelangelo as he took another slice of pizza. "That's wonderful, do they know the gender of the baby?" Sky asked. They both nodded their heads no and Kala said, "They want to wait until the baby is born." "That's nice you know when I was pregnant with you sweetie your father and I didn't know you were a girl until your father rushed me to the hospital one night while we were having a movie night. You were not easy to push out but I did it and we were blessed with you" Sky stated.
Michelangelo requested to see baby pictures of Kala which Sky and Doppler brought out. "MOM DAD DON'T SHOW MY HUSBAND THAT ONE!" Kala said as she was embarrassed that her parents showed Michelangelo a picture of Kala naked in the bathtub at the age of one. "Awwww so cute! You're covered in bubbles and is that a rubber duckie!?" said Michelangelo as he looked at Kala's other baby pictures. "When we get home I'm going to ask Master Splinter if he has any baby pictures of you in the bathtub" Kala promised. Michelangelo, Kala and Kala's parents watched Christmas movies before going to bed. "You know Kala I thought you were too adorable covered in bubbles in the tub. I know it's too early to think about but if we have kids they'll probably enjoy being covered in bubbles during their bubble baths and to be honest I kind of want to see you in nothing but bubbles" said Michelangelo. "I'll cover myself in bubbles if you will" Kala to Michelangelo who agreed to the deal before falling asleep.
The next morning it was Christmas Day. Michelangelo and Kala woke up excited to celebrate with the family. The family started coming and Michelangelo couldn't believe how many aunts, uncles and cousins Kala had. "How your family is pretty big" Michelangelo pointed out as he introduced himself to Kala's relatives who were happy to meet him. Presents were exchanged and everyone got to know Michelangelo. They especially enjoyed the stories the couple told them of their many adventures in New York City kicking bad guy butt. Some of the relatives asked how they met and what their wedding was like since some of Kala's family members were unable to attend the wedding. Michelangelo even played with Kala's little cousins who thought Michelangelo was a lot of fun to play with.
Later on while everyone was at the table having Christmas dinner Kala and Michelangelo called their family and friends back on Earth. "Merry Christmas guys how's everyone back in New York?" Michelangelo asked his family. "We're going great and you won't believe the crazy Christmas Eve we all had" Raphael said as he told Kala and Michelangelo about the craziness that happened while visiting Mona's cousin Mindy in prison and that their baby was born on Christmas Day when the clock struck midnight. "Are you serious?! You guys had your baby? Is it a boy or a girl? Is Mona and the baby ok? I can't believe we missed it!" Both Michelangelo and Kala exclaimed as they were shocked but excited to hear about the birth of Raphael and Mona's child. "It's a boy, his name is Mason and both Mona and the baby are fine. They're resting right now and Mason can't wait to meet his uncle Michelangelo and aunt Kala" Raphael said as he and everyone else spoke with Michelangelo and Kala.
Sky and Doppler along with the rest of the family wondered if everything was ok. Kala said, "Everything is fine. Michelangelo's brother and his wife Mona had their baby today and it's a boy." "That's wonderful news to hear. Hopefully in the future you two could be blessed with a child of your own" Doppler said. "Doppler Galaxy our daughter and son in law haven't been married that long and you're talking about them giving us grandchildren?" Sky asked as she playfully punched him on the arm. "It's ok mom and dad. If or when we have children Michelangelo and I know that our child will be loved by our whole family" Kala pointed out as Michelangelo agreed with his wife. After celebrating Christmas with the family Kala and Michelangelo said their goodbyes before going back to Earth and looked forward to another family celebration in Dimension X and in New York where they were very excited to meet Mona and Raphael's new little bundle of joy.
