Hey I'm back, thank you for reading and I hope you find some enjoyment. (Also-this-has-an-OC-so-I-wouldn't-blame-for-leaving-or-skip-this-chapter, just letting you know) anyway let's see what happens next.
TimeSkip:
Izuku Midoriya, a quirkless boy in a world where superpowers show your potential in this world, was not a good day (at least compared to most). At first it started off great with seeing a villain being stopped by several cool heroes and even being one of the lucky ones to see the debut of a new hero. He was able to write down some pretty good information of the quirks he saw, mostly excited about the new hero, Mt Lady.
Although things quickly turned sour when he got to school and his teacher told the class that he wanted to go to UA, the top hero school in the country. The whole class just laughed at him. The worst being from his former 'friend' now bully Kacchan. Like a daily routine Deku (a name he's gotten used to now) was reminded about him being a quirkless nobody, with no hope of a hero. He would have let it go and moved like usual until Kacchan came up to him and said something that was still in his head, "if you want a quirk that badly, pray you'll get one in the next life and take a swan dive off the roof." That was going too far, even for Kacchan but what can he do, no would even care what he'll say and he didn't want to waste his mothers time worrying.
He couldn't even go home smiling since he was attacked and nearly killed by a villian. Although he did meet his favorite hero, All Might and even signed his notebook (which he will treasure forever), but then Izuku asked him if he can be a hero without a quirk, he said no, he should have seen that coming. He felt lost realizing what he should know after being told the same thing for 10 years. He was brought out his thoughts when he heard an explosion in the distance, out of habit he went towards where he saw the smoke caused by the explosion, despite wanting to go home. He saw the very same villain that attacked him, the same one that was supposed to be captured by All Might. Did he escape? How many people got hurt from the explosion? That didn't matter all he knew was it was completely his fault. He ran towards the victim of the sludge villain after seeing it was Kacchan who was captured and suffering the same way was not even an hour earlier. Even after risking his life while all the other heroes did nothing but watch, scolded him while Kacchan was praised for his bravery. Things didn't get any better when Kacchan caught up to him and told him he was still useless and didn't change a thing.
"I guess he's right, it's not like I did anything," Izuku said, continuing his walk home. "I AM HERE" Izuku heard out of nowhere then seeing All Might appear in front of him. "All Might, what are you doing here? How'd you get rid of all those reporters." Izuku said, confused as to why All Might would show up. "HA HA, STAND FOR JUSTICE NOT SOUNDBITES BECAUSE I AM ALL MIGH-" All Might couldn't finish his sentence as he coughed up an unnatural amount of blood, causing Izuku to scream in worry. "I came here to thank you and to discuss your question from earlier." All Might said, only confusing Izuku. "What do you mean, all I did was get in your way and let the villain get away." Izuku said dejectedly. "Nonsense, you a quirkless boy jumped to save someone in danger, while the rest of the heroes, even I just stood behind." All Might said reassuring the boy of his actions. "You didn't even think about your actions, your legs just moved didn't they, that is the mark of being a real hero." All Might said. Hearing this Izuku felt his legs give out and with tears falling from his eyes finally hearing the words he needed to hear. "Young man you too can become a hero." All Might said proud of the boys true courage and willingness to help others. "So that's why I deem you worthy to inherit my power." Izuku could only look up at All Might not sure if he heard him correctly. "...Huh?"
A few days later:
It's been a few days since Izuku meet All Might and he still hasn't fully processed what had transpired during their last conversation. First he learned that All Might's super awesome and super powerful quirk is not his instead being passed down to him from a long line of great heroes with All Might being the 8th. The most surprising thing he was told was that All Might WANTED HIM TO BE HIS SUCCESSOR. He accepted obviously, this way he can finally achieve his dream and become a hero that saves everyone with a smile. 'I wonder...do I really deserve something so great.' Izuku thought as he reached Dagobah beach.
Izuku was told to by All Might to pull a refrigerator while he got on top of it, "Hey, Hey, Hey, This is such a comfy fridge to sit on!" All Might said, watching Midorya failing to pull a 10 times his weight. Izuku then falls on his face, "This would be a lot easier if there wasn't 600 extra pounds on top of it" Izuku said, completely already tired. "Nah I lost weight, I'm down to 560." All Might said. "Anyway, why am I dragging trash at beach park?" Izuku asked, trying to catch his breath. "My quirk, One for all, is the fullest physical ability of many people gathered into one." All Might explained, "If you were to use One for all at your current state, your limbs would shoot right out of your body!" He finished. Izuku couldn't help but picture that happening to him, "Then...I'm picking up trash in order to train my body?" All Might walked towards the fridge, "Yes, also I discovered that this beach used to be a beautiful sight to see, being a hero used to be just volunteer work without all that showy stuff, even if it was boring." All Might said as he completely crushed the fridge with ease. "Getting into UA can't easily be done without a quirk." All said, then excitedly showed his "Aim to Pass: American Dream Plan!"
"And so began my ten months of Hell"
Izuku spent the first month with basic training and carrying small objects, 'Depending on size and shape, the muscles I have to use are completely different!' Izuku thought while carrying a tire over his shoulder.
Izuku was now completely committed to cleaning the beach on time, so much so he does as much as he can at home and even in school. During the little free time he has even started to change his training routine. Continually muttering during different classes creeping practically all his classmates. However during one of his muttering sessions one of his classmates, Hazuma Baburu, Quirk: Bouncy Bubble, a girl with long blue hair and eyes, standing at 168 cm (5,6 ft), is lost in her thoughts thinking she messed up.
Flashback:
During their previous year of middle school Hazuma just transferred to a new school after her family moved from tokyo to a safer and quieter part of japan. She was in the process of moving her books from her previous class into her locker. So far it wasn't too difficult to get used to her new school and even made a friend during one of her classes.
A few months later:
In her math class, her least favorite class, they were given a big project and she had absolutely no hope of even getting a passable grade, 'Damn what am I going to do' she thought. "Also don't forget you all have the option to work with only one partner during this project." their teacher said. This made her so relieved to hear, 'At least now I'll have someone to explain this to me.' Unfortunately, with this class in particular she didn't know anyone in this class. 'I mean everyone in school seems really nice. I'm sure I'll get along with whoever I'm partnered with.' Hazuma thought already making up her mind on getting a partner for this project. The class was nearing its end, during this time since the teacher wasn't saying anything important about the project, she was thinking of who she can ask to be her partner. Eventually she thought of Izuku Midoriya, she didn't know anything about him, then again she didn't know anything about her other classmates, however she does know that he has the highest grades in class. However she then thought about the negatives of asking for help since she didn't anyone, what if he was an ass? Or what if he can't explain it to her? Or he gets too lazy and leaves her with all the work. 'I might as well take my chances, it's not like I'll end up any worse than doing it by myself.' she thought. When class ended she quickly walked up to him.
"Hey, you're Midoriya right." she said with a friendly smile. She noticed that he flinched slightly and had a tinge of red on his cheeks. "U-uh y-y-yes I a-am" Midoriya said, having an idea on why she started to talk to him. 'Oh man this might be more difficult than I thought.' Hazuma thought, well it's no big deal she's had experience dealing with shy people before, plus she was nervous talking to people before so it shouldn't be too bad. "Well I'm Baburu, I was hoping, if you don't already have one, can we be partners for the project, before you answer I really need help understanding the material so you might need to also explain what I should do. No pressure!" Hazuma said quickly, trying not to make feel like he doesn't have a choice.
Izuku was slightly taken aback by this but still sounded fairly familiar when others 'asked' him for help, "O-o-of course, i-it'll b-be n-n-no p-promblem." Izuku said. "Cool thanks I really appreciate it, I'll see you at the library after school." Baburu said waving goodbye. Now that was new, usually people just ask him to be their partner or just hand them their work and then leave him to do the work, maybe she was meeting someone there later, who knows he needs to get to his next class.
As Izuku left, several students looked disappointed seeing their interaction with Baburu, "Damn it looks like someone beat us to him." "I know there goes my easy A, *sigh* I'm definitely getting him to do my work next time we get another stupid assinment."
One hour later:
Izuku made his way to the library to start the project in peace but was very surprised to not only see Baburu there but also move the same table he was when he sat down. "Aww come on I won't bite, let's get to work this already." Baburu said very cheerfully to him. They quickly got on with Izuku doing his best to explain the material to her, Izuku was wondering when she finally got too frustrated working with him and just left or yelled at for his stuttering or him not doing a good job on explaining the project.
Hazuma Noticed however that Midoriya seemed tense during the whole hour they were working, "Hey do you want to pick up tomorrow, you look stressed." Hazuma said worried about over working him, since he was doing more work than she was. "O-oh n-no I'm o-okay, b-but i-if y-you want t-to c-c-continue t-thats f-fine." Midoriya reassured her. "I'm really sorry for making you do this, I know it's frustrating trying to explain this to a dummy while working on this. I'll keep trying if you're still willing to help, I don't blame you if you want to work on this alone" Hazuma said a little upset feeling like she's wasting both of their time. "N-no I s-swear its n-no trouble a-at all, I-I'll h-help a-as m-m-much a-as I-I c-can." Midoriya stuttered his way though. There was an awkward silence for a while, both eventually agreed to meet each other after school to work on the project.
It had been a week since they both started to work together, during that time Hazuma was able to learn more about her classmate, especially his excitement when it came to quirks. Midoriya would always be too nervous to say anything about himself and won't say anything unless it was related to their project. He seemed perfectly normal and definitely being the most patient and nicest person she met for not getting frustrated with explaining all this stuff to her, to him it must've been kindergarten stuff to him. Although the weirdest part about him was that he would always try to get to leave early, almost like he wanted to do the project himself. Was she slowing him down? He doesn't seem to be the type of person to think that, plus if he was, he wouldn't have agreed to help her especially this much. "Oh I-i'm sorry b-but I n-need t-to go h-home early." Midoriya said. "No problem I gotta head too anyways, I'll see you tomorrow, oh and hey it looks like we can finish this tomorrow." Hazuma said waving goodbye.
Hazuma was walking down the hallway when she was stopped by a voice, "Hey Baburu." Hazuma heard, she turned around to see her friend, Hongaru, a short plump girl with short brown hair, big green and two horns on her head. "Oh Hongaru, the art club ended already." Hazuma said, waiting for her friend. "Yup so this time we can walk home together." Hongaru said, "So how's that project you were so worried about." Hongaru asked. "It's going well, I've even got someone to work with to explain what the heck I'm supposed to do. He's been doing a great job in making me understand the project." Hazuma said. "Really who? I just might ask for their help if they can help you." Hongaru said. "Hey! What's that supposed to mean? Anyway his name is Midoriya." Hongaru only looked at her weird, "Really? I guess that makes sense, but why bother meeting up with him?" Hongaru asked. "What do you mean? I have to put in some work too." Hazuma said, confused. "Still though, I can't believe you'd work with someone so weird" Hongaru stated. "Hold on, he's not weird, a little awkward yes but he's still a pretty cool guy." Hazuma said, trying to defend Midoriya. "Hey shh you should be careful what you say." Hongaru said worried if anyone heard them. "Look if you say he's cool I'll believe you but you can't say that out loud." Hongaru said. "Huh." Hazuma was very confused and upset hearing this. "Look it'll be a lot safer for you to ignore him after your project." Hongaru said, worried about her friends well being. "Hold up that's not fair-" before Hazuma finished, "Look you'll see soon enough, you don't want to get noticed by Bakugo, I'll see you tomorrow." Hongaru said, walking off. 'What about Bakugo?'
Bakugo was a student that Hazuma heard about a lot, ever since she came to this school she heard so many good things about him like his grades, his leadership skills, his quirk, hell even his potential as a hero from her teacher. But now he was all she could think about, ever since what Hongaru said yesterday, what would Bakugo have anything to do with Midoriya? It didn't matter she thought Midoriya was an okay guy and was someone she could be friends with so it shouldn't matter. So she'll go ahead and ask him if they want to hangout after (as soon as she has freetime), she wasn't the best student so her parents would always make her study, especially recently since she decided she wanted to be a rescue hero.
It had been a few days since she and Midoriya finished their project and turned it in, with both of them not only getting an A but also her learning a lot from Midoriya. It was morning time and this was the perfect day to ask Midoriya if they can hangout at the mall after school. However she was brought out of her thoughts when she noticed three students messed with another. The worst part was that other students, even some from her class just walked past them! Now what got her pissed was that a teacher did the same, 'What the hell is this!?' she thought then quickly running towards them.
The boy they were picking on was up against the wall at a part of school that can't be seen from outside. Hazuma got in between hoping to convince them to stop or at least make them lose interest. "Huh who are you, can't you see where'er just messing around with an old friend. Right?" A boy with long shoulder length hair said. "Who are you? Why don't you go pick on someone your own size?" Hazuma said she was about to tell the boy behind her to go get a teacher but he was already running off. "Will you two forget it? You were already wasting my time dragging me here, they're not worth my time." the blond boy said, looking as disinterested as when she noticed them, then proceeded to walk away. "Tch fine." one of them said. "Wait I know you, you're the one whos been hanging around that loser deku." the boy with hair covering his eyes said. The boy with blond hair stopped looking at her with a brow raised. "Huh, who's Deku?" asked Hazuma. "Ha she doesn't even know who's been wasting her time with, Bakugo can you believe this." said one of the boys. 'So that's Bakugo?' thought Hazuma.
Bakugo was about to walk off until this random girl asked, "Your Bakugo right? Do you know anything about Midoriya?" He looked at her with a brow raised, "What about that worthless deku?"
Hazuma Looked at him with a surprised look, "Who are you calling worthless?" she said mad, hearing someone say something so awful about someone like Midoriya. "Huh, don't tell us you're actually friends with that loser." said one of the boys. "So what if I-" "HA, don't try to be a hero, or you're only wasting your time with him." the boy said, interrupting her. "Tch, I wouldn't be much of a hero if I didn't help someone in need." Hazuma said, getting more pissed at them. "Huh a hero? You? Don't be stupid. The only one who has a chance from this shitty school is me." Bakugo said, pointing at himself. "You probably have a useless quirk, heh still better than that quirkless loser." Bakugo said, showing off his quirk.
'Quirkless…?' "don't you call me stupid! You better apologize for what you said, Midoriya doesn't deserve all the things you said about him!" Hazuma yelled at them. "Do you know who the hell you're talking to?" Bakugo yelled, now getting in front of his two lackeys. "You're seriously going to come here and defend that worthless deku!" Bakugo continued. "Yea I'm talking to some jackass with an ego." Hazuma yelled back. The other two behind Bakugo looked surprised like they someone do something really stupid. "Also what kind of hero are you gonna be when people find out the kind of crap you pull! You don't deserve to be a hero your mor-" she couldn't finish because Bakugo threw beside her face with his quirk activated, destroying a small piece of the wall behind her.
Hazuma had a shocked look on her face with fear also evident as well. What the hell just happened? That could have killed her. "Know you listen here bitch, you don't know what the Fuck you talking about. If you say any more dumb shit like that again, I'll kill you!" Bakugo threatened.
To Hazuma it was like he just grew much or she just shrunk, he really just threatened her and used his quirk to show he was serious. Oh god, he was serious, it felt like she was a small defenseless animal, only being spared because he was bored. Bakugo then grabbed her shirt, "Don't even waste my time talking about that worthless deku like he even matters. If he's really your friend, then I can go ahead and kill you right now if you want." When Bakugo finished he dropped her, making her fall on the ground. "So tell me are you really his friend?" Bakugo asked. All she could do was look at the ground, too afraid to look at him the wrong way. "WELL!" Bakugo yelled, making her flinch.
"NO!" Hazuma said without thinking, still looking at the ground. "Tch, stupid bitch." Bakugo before walking off.
Just why did Midoriya have someone like Bakugo who targeted him? Whatever the reason was she knew Bakugo was someone to stay away from. Were even the teachers afraid of him? She ended up being late for her first class that morning and couldn't concentrate for the rest of the day.
Later her math class finally ended, her plan was to try to ask Midoriya to hangout later but she remembered what happened this morning. She couldn't get off her desk, stuck there. It was like that everytime she tried again, like the next day, and the next and the next…
Even in the halls she tried to at least talk to him, she was close once but then Bakugo walked towards him instead, she quickly stopped and was horrified to see how he was treated, in front of others no less. SOME PEOPLE EVEN JOINED BAKUGO, BY EITHER CHIMING IN OR ALSO ASSAULTING MIDORIYA. What was wrong with this school. She tried telling the teachers...but they didn't care. Why? Oh yea because of the same reason everyone told, "you don't want to end up on Bakugo's bad side." or "He's just a quirkless loser."
Timeskip:
Hazuma hated her previous year of middle school, she felt like a failure as a person, just standing there watching Midoriya suffer all because she was scared. She was still scared, but she needed to do something, anything. But what. In 10 months they'll end up in different high schools, probably never to see eachother again. She can't leave things like this, she has to at least apologize to him for leaving him alone all that time. Although she wouldn't blame him for not wanting to do anything with her.
She decided the best way to talk to him was to give him a letter telling him to meet her after class. Luckily she saw her opportunity when Midoriya got up to talk to the teacher after class and sneaked an envelope with a heart sticker on it into the notebook he always writes in. "Hero Analysis for the future 14, huh so that's what he writes all the time...cool." she slipped the note in a random page then quickly left the class.
'If he doesn't show up then...I'll have my answer, there's only one class left.'
Unknown to both of them the note slipped out of Izuku's when Bakugo destroyed his notebook then threw it out the window. Hazuma waited there for an hour and half after school, waiting to apologize to Midoriya. Soon tears started to form in her eyes, she tried her best to hold them back staying optimistic about him showing up. Soon her legs gave out and she started sobbing repeatedly apologizing as if it'll help make things better.
Flashback end:
Here She was now unable to look at him, still scared of Bakugo, feeling worse because she thinks Midoriya hates her now for willingly leaving him alone.
'Damn it why did I have to mess things up so much?"
Thank you so much for reading. I hope three people who didn't leave enjoyed it. I'll see you next time I update.
